Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

So are you saying the drench did that? Was it too strong? I'm seriously questioning since we do 45 ml for 4 gallons.

As for the recharge and EWC, those can be added with anything to water or drench it in. To me it just looks like you had a hot spot in your tent and low humidity and it fried them.

I don't know. I've been puffing on my concentrate pen for 5 hours straight and I may be seeing something different here.

Not the drench but the combo of EWC, recharge and forgot to mention Epsom salt which I probably should not have added since its new formula trans. You may be right though about hot spot and low humidity because I was away for a couple days and the Huey was empty when I returned. thanks Nis!

Ween...third run soil...ah ha...you gave too much..period.3rd. run soil is loaded to the max with goodies..it's also very high in organic matter due to adding ewcs 3 times along with more amendment and recharge. I have found with 3rd run....let the soil do more work and go lighter with everything from the kit . Seems to work best.I have also found 3rd run soil benefits from adding more fresh pm. too! cheers

Girls are +57, smelling fruity and getting fat! Got a USB microscope but my computer doesn't have a cd drive so couldn't download the software. The only thing I could figure out was to use a photoshop app but I have to hit the button on the screen which makes taking pics a little tough.

Ween, what up bud?? What's going on with these buds bud lol? These Calyx's, they're so chunky chunky .... ..and no petioles either, strange huh. They sure are frosty tho!!!! Can't remember, have you grown this stain before? Is this just a genetics thing with this particular plant? Was it a clone or seed? Hmmm... very interesting

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

I waited to trim off the damaged leaves until new growth had taken over when I nuked my plants when I installed my cobs.

Thanks TB. Ill hold off if I can but there is a lot of growth that was unaffected, including the one that was worse off. It's odd the difference in the 3 since they had the same treatment and are in the same tent.

Thanks again Duggan! I'll ease off and give em a few good drinks of plain water. I was planning on vegging as long as I can so I can get some big ole plants. Gonna get a new batch cooking soon and pick up some large pots!

Hey Mag! Yup a very interesting strain with an odd ball pheno, no pistils, all calyx! It money maker and those 2 were from clone with the 3 current plants clones from them, kept it going for a while but these are the last 3, I think. I read somewhere that the breeder, strain hunters are somewhat hacks that breed unstable and hermie (which these have plenty but no seeds so far) prone plants. I read this when trying to find similar pistil free money makers. Nis is growing one now but his has pistils. It's an anomaly but so far a pretty good one. Buds have been thick and tasty.

another pistiless plant...wtf eh!...looks mighty fine!...Nice big chunky colas...yeepa!

I was just admiring a fat curing money maker bud yesterday. Smell gets better by the day.

I've never heard anything about Strain Hunters other than from their on mouths, from their Documentary. They seemed to to cannabis. Sucks if they screw around and distribute crap genetics. Glad your happy with what you have tho!!

Funny what you can find if you search the Infernet, searched strain hunters review and found that one of the strain hunters, Franco died In January, "We are told that he contracted malaria in the Democratic Republic of the Congo while researching the benefits of CBD (cannabidiol) in the treatment of that very disease. Franco was just 42 years old." and also read lots of negative and some positive. I may never make any major purchases because I always look for reviews, then start with the 1 star reviews which may be stupid....? Not talking about seeds now, got off on a tangent.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

They have bounced back. I trimmed the crap out of one and tied her down. Questions are, did I do too much and should I do the other 2 in a similar or completely different way? I know the canopy should be pretty close but does that mean all plants in the tent should be at the same level or is it ok for different plants to be a different levels?

Same plant as above before I hacker her up.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Ween, good day my good sir! Hope your weekend was stress free and enjoyable:)
Your girl there, ...she was beautiful,..why did you strip her like that. She will bounce back , but , tbh, she took a big 'hit' doin that. Brix would have pummeled to a very low level and high stress levels. I would mist her now with DeStress and leave her alone, let her grow...FFS's Ween....:Namaste:

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Ok, will do. These plants are serious bushes, like 70s porn star bushes, ha. there is a very serious amount of growth on them which will never amount to anything except taking energy away from the tops and there is some yellowing/dying leaves going on in the middle/lower areas. I read someone's suggestion a long time ago (I wanna say Cannatard but am not sure) that said they only keep the top 5 or 6 nodes and strip the rest which is what I did here and have done in the past. I'm not good at LST and keeping the canopy level and almost just prefer to top/FIM and let them grow. I am also not good at sc'ing.

Do you ever trim up the lower parts of your plants?

Yes Ween, i do it every crop. next time try only pruning away bigger fan leaves and leave the branches alone. I pruned mine a bit today and i just wanted to open it up here and there for lower growth to get more light. The problem with the way you did it is ,..there is no lower growth ,..you took it all off...know what i mean. You have spread her out nicely , but there is no growth there , it's all gone. I usually keep the canopy fairly thick ,..like about 12-16" deep from the top. The rest gets removed along the way,..bottom up.Anyhow , nuff said ,...don't mean to be critical Ween,...OK!:Namaste::high-five:

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

That chop to that girl was extreme - you probably want to do a lot less next time.

I could see something like that if you were 2 months from flowering and wanted to bulk up the branches, but I don't think turning branches into palm trees is usually a good idea.

Personally, I do some light bending and holding down (LST) during veg - but if my canopy is uneven when I hit flower it stays uneven.

When I hit flower, I pick a line somewhere, say 9 inches above the soil on a 16 inch tall plant, and strip all the leaves and tiny branches that don't reach more than 4-5 inches. If I remember, I check after the stretch and do the same places again.

The next level might be to look in the inside and remove very small branches and tiny buds in the center of the plant where the light doesn't reach, just to help airflow and reduce popcorn.

If this girl bounces back strong, you might have a handful of large colas - which ain't bad :)
