Amy Gardner’s High Brix Dreams

Yeah! Say... check this out. Was just saying goodnight b4 the lights wen off.

Do you think maybe my lights are too bright?

But seriously, this is strange. I’m very curious to see how it’s oriented in the morning

Emojis are a bit unfortunate sometimes I agree. We still can only laugh like maniacs too!

It’s not as bad as the standard blowing a kiss one which just looks downright sleazy!

then I would go morning sun, then shade them the rest of the first day, then a bit more each day until they're happy in the noon day sun (along with mad dogs and Englishmen).

thanks! Morning sun good :thumb: got it! Do you bring em in overnight at first, if the nights are a bit cool?

Oof! That's no way to say goodnight . I put my seedlings way off to the side when they're under the Mars 300 even after they've been in the sun all day. I don't start to move them closer until they're at least a few days old.
Yeah - funny tho. I started the BD under this, turned up this far too. But tomorrow I think I will adjust the light a bit. I can take it higher and then bring the others up a bit to meet it.

Always learning! :D

Outdoors is so easy in comparison.

Yes you are! And I’d rather not be - although I have a little 4000k light I could be giving it at night (for an extra few hours anyway). It’s pretty light when it’s half dry, which it’s been since I planted it just about. So I can move it around a little bit. :)

Yes otter it does! You can do it just the same in pots. Or do a regular kit mix and stick it in a raised bed.

Or, you can have your own soil tested to see if it can be amended for use with the kit products - which is what I’m doing at the moment.

I plan on doing a few in pots, and 2 in my raised bed full of the soil I built for my grow last year. That’s what is currently being tested. It grew some nice plants for me so I’m very curious to see how it tests :)

Next year I plan to test my bush soil... just wants here in the forest and see if it’s ammendable - but I’ve a few grows to get through before I do that, and I’m not growing in the forest directly this year.

Hey, so a little update on that DDA who collapsed before bed last night. The lights came on a little while ago and ... I don’t think she’s going to make it :(

The sister from the same mister is quite the opposite... perky as all get out!

I’ve raised the lights some and left the healthy one in a little bit of shade from the big plant as it was indicating light stress at the end of yesterday too (angling itself away from the light). Once it gets on a bit, if the sister doesn’t make it, I’ll drop another seed to replace that one.

Oh, and Big Blue still doesn’t want a drink! Go figure. Least watered plant ever!!

Personally, i don't think that DDA is going to make it. :Namaste:

You may already know this but, I have read somewhere here that putting plants outside and then bringing them back to the grow room could bring in pests. So maybe inspect them thoroughly before bringing them in.

Yeah I’m thinking the Early Miss May just stay outside. We’re up to some slightly warmer overnight temps now. And even if I do bring it in, it won’t be into the tent. Maybe not even the room. Just the laundry would be enough (it’s indoor but not insulated). That way I’d eliminate that further risk. But really - I’m in and out of the garden and there’s no way i can do the outfit changes to be quarantined in any way.

Oh gosh! I’ve been vaping a little Professor chaos this morning (currently 1:20pm) and I can smell my lunch cooking. Oh it smells so good!

Anyway, here’s Early Miss in the shade of some snow peas that are just starting to finish. I’ll shift it about a bit over the next week or so before it settles somewhere.

And I think you’re totally right about that DDA @TripleBeam :Namaste:

... 6hrs in ...

I’m not hopeful.

Oh hey - check this out! I love following this guy (thanks Grizzwald for the tip)

So my lunch came and was eaten while this post waited ... “tofu not burgers” - crazy I know, no meat and no bread so how can I call it a burger? By calling it a not burger. :)

Delicious, watercress from the garden, chargrilled everything else, fried onions and vegan mayonnaise.... plus some drops of CBD Critical Cure infused oil (about half a ml). Perfect.

Good morning ms.Amy, so nice to see the animal pics coming out again, love seeing al the critters from your side of the world. Your Blues is doing mighty mighty fine, and the early miss is spot on...

Our weather is pretty much the same and I have seedlings outside from day one but I'm realizing winter and early spring sun are two different ball games in light intensity so sticking to indoors and regulating how much time they go outdoors each day to acclimatize is very important as we already hitting 100f and springs only started really....

Have a great day ms.Amy..

Yeah - I hope she is ok! I had planned to bring it in out of the cold overnight but just wasn’t up to doing that at the end of the day. So it stayed out  It was predicted to be warmer overnight so we’ll see, eh!? I can’t schlep plants about much so really, if it doesn’t handle it then so be it. I might wrap it in a burlap sack (the pot, not the plant ;) ) when it gets a little colder layer in the week, but apart from that, it’s in its own out there now!
