Amy Gardner’s High Brix Dreams

Excellent Doc!

Does DDA stand for dark devil auto?
yes! So excited for these :slide:
love the ridged leaves after the leaf wash treatment.
me too! It looks wonderful after the treatment. Thanks neiko. :)
Hi Amy, have you grown autos outdoors before? Wondering how they work out.
Hey otter, no I haven’t! I’m fact I haven’t really grown autos. Well one, that was mediumly successful. But indoor. Blew hiller has grown one in a greenhouse that looks mighty fine (both the plant and the greenhouse!). And I know Stoney Memoirs grows his DDAs in his flowering tent so there’s no issue with the light hours. And one other person I can’t remember grew one outside... I’ll have to check the DDA thread again. I’m really looking forward to seeing those colours in the sunlight!

@Dutchman1990 noticed my PhOTM entry of the Eary Furry Miss and after checking that I was growing it now, shared the following notable experience.

Is it an auto? And is it from CROP KING?

My Early Miss autos didn’t turn out to be autos !! They are Day 73 Veg!! LOL they are getting flipped as soon as my 2 widows come down in the next few days !!

So yes Dutch. It’s from CKS and was sold as an auto (well, given actually - was part of a prize).

When did you get yours!? Maybe there was a batch that didn’t come out right.:hmmmm:

I know that SweetSue has her awesome photo flowering version of Candy Cane because of some error in the seed making or something in the batch she got. It was also supposed to be an auto but isn’t (also came from CKS) and she’s been keeping it going via cloning because her daughter loves it so much and they aren’t running the photo anymore.

Early Miss sounds like a really nice genetic mix and I sure hope these seeds I have are auto becasiue I just gave some to 2 other people telling them that it was! Plus I’d planned to grow one early ;) every year as the smoke that carries me through the growing season! I’m expecting to be harvesting this one late Nov early December if it works out ... it sure is growing pretty quickly, at least I think it is... 3rd node (after cotys) already out and its only 16days old... maybe that’s not fast. I’ll have to check. I’m not very good with remembering how fast it slow something happens...

Ok @Amy Gardner here we go! lol:high-five:
I got my Early Miss in the beginning of July germination was good they popped no problems and grew strong and healthy! Still are!!

But after 40 days and no signs of preflowers yet just bigger and bigger growth I began to wonder. Researching CKS and reaching out to others here and elsewhere I found out that this is a pretty common thing for them to sell “autos” but have a wrong seed batch in them!

This is my Early Miss 1 the biggest girl and Early Miss 2 the smaller yet tightly stacked girl!

I have ordered 2 scrog nets for my tent and will be installing them and spreading these big girls out once I cut my autos down. Then they will be given the flip to 11/13light cycle for finishing!

I’ll be keeping them running in the Journal after my widows finish cause they are going to be absolute monsters once they burst into that flower mode!!

Ive heard this same thing as well and I know there was a change in ownership a while back that was supposed to help with all the complaints. I tried my hand at CKS blueberry and it actually revegged on me and I was like nope Im done haha. Made some edibles out of her. My only blueberry experience sadly.

Interesting ... thanks Dutch. Those are looking like becoming monstrous! Hopefully they’ll be great for you to make up for being “wrong”. It’s funny thought because to my knowledge they don’t have a photo-period version and until his I’d only seen good reports of it as an auto - but perhaps it;s not properly stabilised.

I got mine in April so not that long before you. I will have to warn my buddies I gave seeds to. Only time will tell!

Hey otter! I’ve been meaning to say I love your Van Gough inspired avatar :yummy::love:
Thanks Amy, got it in the form of a sticker at the canna convention last week as swag and loved it too so took a pic. I think I'm a low brow Van Gough fan. I had a 1 dollar yard sale print of his lily pads hanging above my tool box for years when I was working. I found humor having it upside down. I'm a little goofy sometimes.

No problem Amy! I’ll definitely be following along here with you as you grow yours to see how you make out! Hopefully you get the auto ! I did look around and can only find the auto version of the Early Miss so I’m wondering what strain I have or if she just didn’t take the genetics right! Either way these 2girls are massive going into the flower flip and I can imagine they are going to yield some heavy stuff after being scrog’d once I flip em! I wish I could of got the net in sooner but having my autos almost done I figured I would wait and move everything in the tent around and give the 2 Early Miss the entire tent under a scrog!! This is going to be a great experience ! I’ll be continuing my journal of EM after my widows come down this weekend and see where we can get them !!

I hope you have an awesome day Amy!

Hey Amy! We are basically running our DDA together:D Mines only a week ahead!

Those pics with the kangaroos are amazing...just washing my big ass plant in the magical forest with kangaroos napping and munching in the background #NBD :D I think you need a flowering pic of big blue with kangaroos in the back....contest worthy I'd say;)

Tent looks great! #bestauntieever

Also that one pic looks like the kangaroos would eat big blue as soon as you turned your back! That one guy was looking real intense :D

hope you have an awesome day Amy!
You too :) I’m going to be watching that grow show!
looks like the kangaroos would eat big blue as soon as you turned your back!
Haha! They totally wouldn’t actually. They really only seem interested in the other kind of grass ;). It’s the wallabies and possums who eat everything in their path! We have everything behind fences and nets and sometimes get break ins! We have a serious ‘this is not for you’ enclosure around the veggies and my ganja corner now so no more break-ins there :thumb:

That momma wa just watching to see what I was up to before deciding it was ok to come on in. I find if I just go slowly about my businesss without focusing on them too much they’re quite ok and will often get quite close to me. That can really depend on my energetic vibration so they’re a great tempering and calming influence on me

Hey AG Keep rocking it! Im still studying for my DocBuds test haha! Lots of info to take in! I am blissfully indulging in all of it. I feel like the basics of growing are intuitive, but understanding the plant and how nutrients affect it with regards to the plants lifecycle is where my path is taking me.

Look forward to your updates!

Hey Archi! Yeah I lurked and read and watched for a while before hitting the buy button - but I knew I was going to do it all that time.

Hey I’ve been meaning to say to to you, that one of my favourite makers to watch make things recently built herself a very beautiful ukulele. In fact she still in the final stages of Verious glue-ups. I’m hoping once it’s all done she’s gonna produce a video of the make process, she usually does. It would be worth checking out I really like her style in general and making an instrument is an incredible project to take on. I’ve been watching her on her YouTube channel for many years now, and now on Instagram to: Get Hands Dirty is her channel/insta account. :thumb:

Oh wow thanks for sharing one of your fave makers with me! Ive not encountered her yet and I have lots of content to watch! This past summer I fell in love with Hawaii, specifically Maui, but mostly the culture and music! I was so tempted to buy a uke and Ive never even played one. Im sure playing guitar gives me an edge in some way.

Yea I bought the kit..its ready to start cooking whenever I get around to it. I have been having some rather dark times in life lately and it causes me to procrastinate on things at times. No rush though, as I said Ive got a whole new grow going before my organic grow so Im just soaking up as much knowledge that will stick between the ears :D. It is therapeutic to be in the garden and likewise spending time in everyones garden here. :thanks:
