Amy Gardner’s High Brix Dreams

Here you go. I had to turn it down to 80 Watts to take pictures, but I'm running it at about 500 Watts normally, I'll adjust as I learn.

Thanks Amy. They're not quite as good as the Nichia strips Cutter have got, but at a max of 190lm/watt they're pretty good. If this array works out I'll build another one with the Nichia leds, by then, their new ones should be out and they are allegedly punching 230lm/watt. I do like the Bluetooth functionality of these drivers, I programmed the light cycle from my phone using their little app, very simple.

I agree! Very nice setup! :bravo:

Strips look like the next big thing. The prices are great and they're simple to work with. Any improvement I make will be with strips.

I love the look of that light, makes me want to build one asap:rofl:
But I think I am good for now, if I had the extra cash I would for sure just for the fun of it. Love building things and then watching them work! Man... that light just looks so kick ass.

That light is phenomenal! I've done went and propositioned building a new grow room using something similar!!! Haha, I only just finished building the "prototype"! Of course, the lady wasn't all for it lol.

Not that timber grow lights lack anywhere, but who doesnt like building them!? Maybe I'll just make a better room...hmmm

Thanks for the insight Black! I'm almost convinced to update my room. Hope it does all you want it too!! :Namaste:

should be able to build a 250 watt unit for under 300 bucks.
 I know... but I shouldn’t!

This! ^^^

I think my next step will be expanding the one I have a little. Which will be easy to do with strips... I can add some in the gaps... and around the outside :hmmmm::nomo:

Any improvement I make will be with strips.

Ah see!? I’ll just wait until Gray does it and then follow his lead... it’s working for me so far :thumb:

G’morning 420 - at whatever time it is for you :ganjamon: I’m at just after 530am and I just did a Brix spray before lights came on. I did a pretty hard handed prune yesterday  pics on Sunday evening US time ...

Sunday morning wake n bake for me... some Roaring Dutchess ... so tasty
:bong:

I just got the high CFM kit from gorilla, wish I had it from the start. Keeps the walls from sucking in. It is a super solid frame now.

Edit: was a super solid frame before too.
I got a couple of leaks too but from my observation to is from the directed light inside and not really subject to more diffuse light from outside. It is hard to get the Velcro window to seal to my satisfaction.:peace:

Update: Blue Dream #1 (day 50)

This plant is like the magic pudding! You prune it heavily and it looks just the same ...

I did another pruning - not as hard as some have suggested, but pretty severe by my standards

I forgot to photograph the pile of trimmings too but it was big. I went in with teh intention to start by taking off the lowest fans like Duggs suggested, only to discover that I had already done that ... So I took off the lowest 2 nodes and and noticed that they were super packed with growth and had been crowding out the node branches above them pretty badly. Hopefully their removal will allow more room for those ones to come on strong :thumb:. I also took off all the new little shoots and small fans that were in close to the stem, and then employed a little LST to open things up - still so bushy!

The colour is much improved too - since the rescue drench.

I did the trim on Saturday - this was friday... so this is the “before” shot

Needs trimming eh newty!

Here’s the post trim, during LST and finished shots

Still very tightly stacked in there...

So this time the “after” shot does look better than the “before” I think!

The trimmings contributed to my lunch :D along with a dose of CBD Critical Cure infused oil.

Here’s somehting interesting... some of the branches have started showing alternating nodes, while others are still opposite. Maturity comes in stages it seems...

This means transplant isn’t far - it’s still taking 5-6 days to dry out between watering though which is a little bit annoying. I’ve let the humidity drop in there to try to speed up the drying out a bit. I’d like to be watering every 3days by now, but I suppose things would have stalled a bit with the root drowning and recovery. I would like some more veg growth before transplant any way and have been thinking it would be about day 60 or so, so I’m still on track for that... esp if it gets to drinking a bit harder!

Since these pics there’s been a brix spray and today it’s due for a drench... looking pretty droopy and feeling lightweight. Maybe I’ll do a supplemental update to show how my new pot drawing stand works...or doesn’t work ;) I’m sure it will work though - will need to water outside I think and thankfully its a nice warm spring day :)

Till later...

:Namaste:

Good morning Amy....she looks proper now...good job!
