Yeah indeed it was a mystery. However, running through the stuff smoking it I only found a few seeds, did not count but no more than five.. and they were way under developed,so it only adds to the mystery :)

No, I am not taking pics, it is pretty basic stuff. The bigest improvement (I hope) will be the filter. Double the carbon layer and maybe around tripple in size... hopefully shall increase airflow, so I can crank the QB up, and decrease the smell :)

Hi Amy, I hope all is well. In regard to your ingesting of cannabis, had you considered using canna butter as one of the ingredients of bullet proof coffee? Doc gave me a good recipe and it's quite tasty. Also, thought I'd drop a pic of my ongoing light build, still waiting on one more driver, but most of the wiring is done, should be finished soon.

That coffee recipe sounds good. I love butter - can’t do coffee atm but I drink chicory made the same way so it’d work nicely for that too I’m guessing. Post the recipe if you have it.

I love the look of the strip light arrays, so open and airy :) Definitely looking into those if I ever decide to expand things. What voltage do they run at? Or do they vary the same as the boards?
 
Hi Amy, Grizz. I've only built one because 700 is a bit of cash for me to just spend, so this one is a prototype. When I get the design just right, I'll build another. This one is good for 750 Watts of Bluetooth controlled power (internal timers and programmable dimmers etc, so just plug and pair to the phone) I'm using it on 12 sft, serious overkill at 62 w/ft but if I expand I'm covered.

If I remember correctly, the recipe is 1 cup of good organic coffee, 2 tablespoons of organic coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of organic butter. Blitz together and drink. I do remember that there were many warnings about its laxative effect in the first few days.
 
Also, the strips I'm using are 48v, 1.2 amp max, I think they have 112 "j" series Cree chips, I'm running them at about 650 ma. According to the simulator it should give me about 700 ppfd or par or whatever that measurement is at about 1m.

Coffe and butter and coconut oil is pretty rich combination :D

My approach to the light is the same... too much to spend all at once - built slowly over time, even bigger things are possible. That’s a lotta wattage :thumb:
 
You're right, it is a lot, but I don't have to use it all. One should never drive a system at 100%, I'll give a shot just because I can, but I shouldn't, it'd probably fry everything in the room.
 
:thumb: yeah - just meant you’ve got heaps of beautiful light coming! Do you use a par meter? Gray was talking about converting the lumen readings from one of those might meter apps to get an idea of par/ppfd. I took a whole lot of readings, just haven’t posted them yet. Will be interesting to see...
 
No, no par meter, I'm trusting the specs, and the light simulator at Cutter, I also used Graytails conversions to check, it all seems to be in the ballpark, but who knows.
 
Pinpoint accuracy doesn’t seem to matter much to get things started out on an excellent footing anyway, hey - I don’t know enough about it yet to have done mine without the help I had from Gray and dynamo, but I learnt enough to understand the basics and the different components and wiring patterns etc. Now that it’s built I can go back over everything I collected, techniical info-wise, again and start to understand that actual design in terms of the lights the specs the drivers etc. beyond the basic details - while my plant is happily growing under plenty of light :)

Things are looking good after the drench - took a bit longer to perk up this time, about 4-5 hours as opposed to 2 the last time. I really could have done it yesterday afternoon, but I don’t think I was too late either :thumb:

Hey Amy, I forgot to mention I guess that my BIL is posting some weekly pics of the outdoor finish.. They are all over 4.5 feet and starting the pistol show.... Should give you some eye candy till you get yours outdoors and such... I will be starting a new thread soon for harvests at my/friends different grows soon... Till then stop by and make yourself at home there for a while... Green day
 
Good time of the day to all. Amy, I hope you don't mind me asking here, need some help. Plan on making some canna coconut oil for the weekend and so for that, I bought some soy lecithin. Came home to find out it is in form of pills... :D is it still usable? One pill has 1200 mg Lecithin and 340 mg linalool (I think), some gelatin and glicerol... How many if that would I need?

Pills? No I don’t think so.

It has to be the liquid form. You can make the oil without it and it will still work. You can add the liquid lecithin in at any time. The stuff I use is the Now brand - I had to order it from the ‘States.

Cut one pill and it is liquid inside :) so now wondering how many pills I need to cut..:D
 
Moving quick in here! Like Daj said, she will grow upwards some now with the Ge. If the leaves are healthy then leave them for now. Once she gets a little bigger you may wanttho clean her up a bit. That's a major debate on here even amongst the bestest of growers, there are many ways to skin a cat, poor kitty. She's looking good !
