One day I’ll make a thread in the medical section for growing cannabis with a disability, or chronic disabling condition. There’s all sorts of little details that can become significant issues that just wouldn’t occur to most people. My hands are really sore and tired from wrangling the zipper on the tent. Apart from it’s holes the general build quality is poor and that means more stuffing around with it. The Zip pulls are of good quality, and they’re steel, but the zips themselves are plastic and one of them is super sticky. It will run smoothly one time then next time it will stick 3-6 times before running smoothly again. Like I said over at SUe’s, I was an avid camper who was always responsible for pitching the tent and I spent many years in the circus so I’m handy and I know tents
My read on the tent scenario I’m having is that I might have just gone with a Gorilla straight up. No plastic, really huge heavy duty zips that wont stick (at least not as badly) - plus a thick fabric that will, amongst other things, reduce the noise of fans a bit more, and won’t have holes in it.
We’ve worked out over the last couple of years that it’s nearly always worth spending more (even when it means waiting a bit longer) for the better quality and this becomes more so when you have mobility or strength issues that regular folks dont have. In the past having to wrangle a tent a but would not have bothered me at all.
So my advice to anyone else with particular physical challenges who is wanting to grow, is get good quality stuff that you don’t have to mess around with.
Gorilla Tents in the USA put me in direct contact witht he distributed here and said I should see if they will honour the 420 mag discount code - so I’ll give that a go and see...
It’s possible my hands haven’t really recovered from finishing off the light too
. I seem to learn slowly when it comes to not doing the things I really shouldn’t
- I don’t
necessarily regret it though, and that wont help me reign myself in in the future
