These are four weeks from clone I was hoping to flip around 5 weeks from clone they've been topped a few times the growth has came to a halt in the last week not changed much would you recommend I flip?

Hello Cult,
Wow it's been an interesting 18 page read up to here (and another 36 on defol). I am a complete noob (purposely close to boob) to the grow side, only been with CBDs and vape for a couple of years, but wanting to get into growing, maybe even make a similar leap into CBD processing someday (check the Apex super/sub critical unit out). Hoping to find some ACDC children/seed to start that with, but that's for another thread......

Currently I am super blessed to have a dedicated space, and a lot of it, 14x25x10 feet tall (sorry we yanks never did get around to the metric system no matter how often they threatened us with it as a kid), already has an A/C (2-ton mini split) plus 50 amps of unused lighting power, and another 20 amps for control/fans/etc. I am (probably biting off a bit much) planning on starting with half the room for a lot of reasons including startup costs but mainly the lack of experience. Advantage is that I can tune to scale, (assuming I can remove my head from my arse) disadvantage is I have the opportunity to make a lot of girls mad......

I figure that half the room should do 36 girls (at 4 square feet per, but maybe that's too close) under 4 1000w lights in the easy grow bag system (hence the reason I found this thread!!!!) and your very handy and thorough nute schedule, so that's the light and water specs (I think). Planning on using some well rooted clones to start (strain TBD and something popular for an easier turn) so I don't have to crack any seed on the first go, which will hopefully let me focus on dialing in the grow. Ill add that later if it makes sense.

I notice that you keep referring to air exchange as critical, and talk about 3x an minute. Looks like you are primarily in tents, and I am not, but that doesn't mean I don't need fresh air. I'm in the country and don't have smell issues and have 2 roll up doors (8x8) in the space. My question is, should I install another ventilation method or just open the doors (weather permitting) during the day and let nature do its thing? ( I just read another thread about moths and caterpillars and now I may need to rethink opening the doors , at least not without some sort of screen) and of course during the winter the days are still too cold for doors to be open for long...... I currently don't have any built in vents, but do have 2 small windows I could possibly convert, if so what should I be looking at for an exchange rate for that size space, roughly 3k cubic feet?

Also, if you are getting complete exchanges 3x a minute (assuming 24/7?), how/when do you CO2? Lastly (well for this post) we have a HUGE swing in RH here (20-80%), thinking of getting both a Humidifier (set at 50%) and a dehumidifier (set at 60%) to keep things stable, your thoughts? Temps also range from the teens sometimes for a week a year at night in the winter, to as high as 110+ in the summer, last night it was in the high 30's, today 70, but AC should take care of that.

Sorry for the long post - Thanks in advance - Cheers

elcome mate.

It sounds like you have a nice space to grow in there. I grow predominantly in larhe rooms or buildings and have a couple smaller grows in tents. You want as much fresh air exchange as possible if you arent building sealed rooms. Co2 is a waste if you add it to any extracted room as it is pulled out of tje room before plants get to use it.

Id go witj sealed room with your set up as you have the aircon build in and the ampage to run a decent set up. Then you must add co2 a dehumidifier and humidifier. Doing it this way will give you full control over everything.

Yes id flip if flowering in that space. Its going to get crowded in there.

Cool, thanks Cultivator, parts arriving next week, should be a fun experience, I will post some updates. Did you ever go back to the bottom water in your bags or are you still top/drip feeding?

Im still drip feeding mate. I just too lazy to chamge it now ive done it. And plants are growing well. Bottom feed def works but i just decided not to change it after top feeding from the beginning. Its also easier to control as i just adapt feed times for more or less instead of having to do each valve on every tray.

Understood, prob the way I would have played it too!! Any advice on airdome or stones? Seems with the bottom up water it way help everything dry out in between feeds and get more O2 to the roots? Trying to set this up right the first time so I can concentrate in timing and strain specifics rather than experimenting with equipment..... Sorry - also is 4 square feet enough room per girl?

I used an airdome and grow stones in my auto pot system but soon realised that the airdome doesn't really make any difference. So i ended up not using it in the end. The issue is now that its taking up space where i could add more coco for root mass. Grow stones are good though as when you layer it at the bottom of the pot it stops coco going through the holes when watering and holds moisture. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Taff -

I almost got the auto pot, but went with the easy grow bags, so I guess that gives me a bit of 02 there that the plastic pots don't. Was reading on (as again I have ZERO grow experience) the 02 and it seems that the domes/stones just direct ambient air (21% 02) to the roots, but that there are electrolysis machines that actually split the water molecule and create 02, not just bubble air. They look expensive so not sure on the ROI.

I like the "don't take up the root zone" idea. Good roots = good shoots!!!:thumb:

**Easy Feed not Easy grow...duh.

Taff -
I believe the autopots are strictly water level driven, that's why I went with easy feed as that has added timer/control for good dry cycles (per Cults prior advice, light to the lift between feeds right Cult?). Maybe you could add a battery timer to the barrel.... (good god did I just offer advice on a grow having never done one? lol)

Cultivator,
Using the easy feed pots (36), and using some of the manipulation techs and some defol, (wider plants with more light penetration theory) would 4 square feet per pot be a good starting point?

Day 17 of flower and the plants are still stretching hard. Almost running out of space to lift the lights. Plants look mega healthy. They going to be thigh sized buds for sure....

I feel your pain. My light is maxed out and I still had to supercrop the top of one of my girls.
