Alaskan1's Flo n Gro Mixed Bag Grow

I am home and in the great north wet! I heard your shout out bud! How are you doing? :thumb:

Hey Local Grown, :thankyou: for stopping by!!

Can you believe all this rain? I'm soggy! Been up in the grow room cleaning till the wee hours of the AM. Made a huge mess in there the last two days. New tent, new AC and clipping the plants! Still have some work to do but that won't be for a bit. Need to add a attic fan and some venting to bring fresh air in.

PPMs went down again to 919 and PH was at 6.0, dropped to 5.7

I here what you are talking about, if wasnt for the pump under the house we would float away, doh! I am a hydro guy and we are 4 weeks into flowering. For us we are feeding Dyna Bloom and Cal-mag and the total ppm is 900, as we go along I will up the ppm count. Also because it is hydro we run a 5.8 ph on the nutes. :MoreNutes:

Mornin' A1!

Looking good, I should have done more defoliation, but I have such a hard time bending and reaching into the tent. I just plain, can't do it some days (many). So, I do as much as I can when I can... I have mixed feelings on defoliation and how much to do. I waver somewhere in between light to medium defoliation. Last grow I defoliated fairly heavy at 21 and 45 days, this time I'm doing a little at a time, mostly focusing on budsites that are covered. My Jack the Ripper plant is a mess of leaves, because it's so dense and branchy. I've never had a plant like this one - I would/will grow it much differently in the future.

Just make sure they are healthy when you do lots of plucking so they aren't susceptible to further issues/problems and you're golden. As long as your humidity isn't too high you can keep a fair amount of leaf/overlap, too. I usually have a pretty dense jungle, but I can keep my RH at 40% or lower, too. Fan leaves provide vital energy to the plants which it can use to build bigger buds and plant mass, but getting more light to the plant and budsites helps promote better flowers lower on the plant. So it IS a bit of a trade-off. Most people though, are very happy with their results when heavier defoliation is done. I've had good results both ways, but I've never gone all out like 420fied or some of the other heavy defoliaters...

Looks like your plants are flourishing in the Flo N Gro, and your PH seems to be operating more normally. If your PPM's are going down between reservoir changes, I'd say upping the PPM's a bit is a good idea. Great job so far! :thumb:

Don't be skeered X! Go for it! read up on that article I mentioned and just do it! With your experience already you'll have 10z plants first time out!

remember to get any entries in for plant and nug of the month and also member of the month, new threads have just gone up, looks like you sent the rain this way as well, got soaked working the dog, i was thinking bout doing a renegade out door grow somewhere, i got 10 free seeds and was going to pack a backpack with compost and pots and go n start an outdoor grow somewhere out the way, just coming into the summer months so think it would be good idea, till i woke up today and looked out the window, damn weather, why cant it make its mind up, been hot for a few days hotter than it normally is this time of the year, now ill wait a few days and see what happens, not sure how hardy the plants are regarding temps outside

its nice to see them girls out getting the sun, just what they need, i wish i had more sun to get mine out, buy my balcony is facing the wrong way and i only get about an hour before dinner as long as the sun is out that is,

They are liking it too! The wind is blowing pretty good so I put some bamboo rods in the soil and tied those mums down. They look like they are lovin life at the moment. new soil, new pots, haircuts, lotsa water and natural sunlight. What more could a girl want?????????

Yes, the thread moves pretty fast.
Now it's kinda like a ghost town. (wind blowing sounds)

Thanks for the compliment OMM, I try to get the best I can afford and if I can't afford it I try to make it!

Heheh, that's why I built my Cardboard Flower Box. I couldn't afford a tent! "Broke" is the father of DIY.

Ok, need to give a shout out and reps to Jandre for helping me with my nutes issue. My nutes were over 2000 PPM :thedoubletake: suppose to be 1450. I was hoping I didn't have to dump the complete 55 gallon res and start over. He told me to remove 15 gallons and refill.......I SWEAR, came right out to 1450 after deductions for my water PPM.

THANKS JANDRE!!!!!!!!!! :thanks: :theband::rocker::hugs:
