ewww soil. I got no clue.

pH your nutes 6.3 to 6.8, then feed, done. If you're curious if it stays the same, you can test the runoff. If it varies too much, there are various things you can add to the soil to balance it out. DO NOT add Lemon Juice as it can and has done damage to several plants I've seen on here. Also vinegar is only a temporary fix. Blood meal or bone meal work the best, but they work slowly. I forget which is up and which is down. I think bone is up and blood is down(check g**gle to be sure). 1 TBSP per Gal of soil, to lower 1 point. Test again at next feeding.

thanks for the info, im growing in soil as ive only had a couple of grows and think hydro is a bit beyond me yet, plus its a lot to lose should i get raided, plus i thought soil grow is suppose to produce the best tasting bud compared to hydro, its what ive read not what i have tested myself, well when my special delivery turns up that tesmp and jakester hooked me up wiv ill do what you said and check the ph like that, ill also test the tap water, i leave tap water standing for a few days to remove any crap they put in the drinking water round here, thanks for the info,

Yeah, when aging tap water, it lets it de-chlorinate. It will not remove any minerals present in the water. Also, expect aged tap to be around 7.5 to 8.5, depending if they fluoridate in your neck of the woods. Your nutrients should lower aged tap to the correct range, pH is less critical in soil than in hydro, and soil pH fluctuates naturally throughout the day. If you get any worms, that'll swing the pH, too, but don't adjust it down, it might drive them off. wait.... are you in containers? Never mind about the worms...

yep containers mate, not much chance of worms, i hope not anyway cuz i aint put em in their, i always let my tap water sit when i change the water in my tropical fish tank as it saves me putting in some water safe product, cuts the costs down and keeps my fish happy, so if it works for them then it gota work for the plants as well,

Thanks for helping him out Jandre! :thumb:
and I learned something myself from it!
Reps to you my friend

Why do you need an A/C in Alaskan??? LOL
Can't you pull in the cool air (or ass freezing air I should say) from the outside???

:scratchinghead:

haha he's just from alaska he's not there currently. had me confused too when he told me where he lives and it happened to be 30-40 miles from my house. that was a shocker.

Suppose to be going back to AK around April 15th. Not sure if I will be making that trip! Don't have anyone properly trained yet to watch over the girls. We are working on it but it's been a slow process.

Well I am done today and didn't even get a quarter done of what I wanted to get through. Have a new vent to the attic installed and have the air intake installed for the air conditioner. I have that crappy expanding foam all over myself and the only thing that will remove it is acetone. Good thing I had some.

All the clones are looking great. Chief, all your clones have roots !!!!!!!
Plants still a growin so life at the moment is good.

lol Yea well Jake don't tell my wife but I agree!
Got the new tent up and air conditioner going. Room is a respectable 70 degrees. And thats with the tents open. I bet after the tents get closed up the room temp will go down further. Now I'm installing lights and then venting. Vent holes are cut just hosing needs to be attached. I'll take pictures of everything once it's done. May not get done tonight as Chief and I are gonna go grab us some coffee!

Thanks for the bravos and well dones Jakester! Not sure I'm up to your mastery of growing cannabis but maybe one day!

Shit bro, from what I've seen and read so far, I aint no different than you...
And the reason being, you don't ask questions, you seek answers...
(and you know what I'm talking about)

IMHO, in gardening cannabis (or anything in life), that's ALL you need...
Again, this is one (of not too many here at 420 Mag.) I'm excited to see play out and see the outcome...

Maybe because you're using the grow method of my personal choice??..

BUT AGAIN, :bravo: on the setup and plants' growth..

:Namaste:

Well, if your going to do something do it right I always say!

Then again, I am lucky as I have the cash to do it. I have seen some pretty damn inventive stuff on this website and some of it has really impressed me.

My first grow is/was a disaster. Learned a lot about what not to do as well as what to do and when to do it. Have gotten a lot of help from people on this website. If it were not for contributing members of 420 I'd be repeating the same mistakes more then likely. I have read a lot and have learned from that but, when you can ask a question and get a solid answer well then, thats when things and yourself progress. :thumb::circle-of-love::Namaste:

all clones have roots, no more root aphids, your building to your grow every day it seems lol. i wouldnt say its a disaster at all. maybe a little hectic but i think you got a pretty good idea of what your doing to fix anything drastic.

im always impressed with this grow and im always excited to hear things about my clones. glad to hear you got them all rooted. i watched you cut them so now i know how to go about cloning myself (cloning plants myself, not actually cloning myself) and do it successfully. glad to hear your having alot of positive updates. always good to read

Yeah things are hectic to be sure. My wife is putting together an excel spread sheet for me for each tent where I can write PPMs, PH and temps and be able to write some notes. Will also be able to see feeding schedules and amount of nutes needed. This way I have something to look back at and it will keep me in line.

Thanks Chief for those very kind words. Thou I don't feel that way about my growing skills yet gives me confindence I'm heading in the right direction.

Ya, I started back when there was no internet...
So it was pretty much from school of hard knocks...

I did have an old stoner buddy that helped me a lot...
It's just his ways were so old school it was not funny... LOL

:Namaste:

I know guys up in Alaska that did outdoor grows and all they used were fish guts and heads for fert. now thats old school lol
