Yea, it's not looking good. The first grow has been the worst. Have battled a lot of issues. Then again, had I not battled them I would not have learned anything. This website really has been a godsent. I have gained SOOO much knowledge from here and been helped by many people.

Reminds me of a joke I heard once. "I'm so low, I need to look up to see down!"

always learning, its amazing how much stuff you continue to learn as you make your way through life, maybe its all one big test, who knows, but the more you have to deal with a go through the stronger and better you become,

Well said. I just hope when I get to the pearly gates, that the test is graded on a curve. ;)

Hope things are looking up - sorry I haven't been around as much this past week - I've been feeling a bit rough. I use Cal/Mag with my RO water. Some nutrients are formulated to work fine without Cal/Mag added. Long term, it's probably a great idea to have it. Bummer about all the challenges, but it takes a bit to get things dialed in. Personally, I think you've made amazing progress with things and just your overall understanding. You're shortening the learning curve by really digging in, but it's no fun with a sick plant that you can't figure out how to make happy...

the way i see things is that your going through it now so next time you will be more aware of the problems and how to prevent or cure them, ive learned loads just by reading journals on this site and asking the odd question and people like X have put up wiv me been a big pain in the arse, but without the info and advice they gave id be unsure of what or hot to do things, now i think im doing ok, their will be problems along the way, but writing a journal is the best way to let other see the problems and advise what they can on how to deal with it, im just glad i found such a diverse and informative site as this one, the help is amazing,

im sure everything will turn out ok, these plants are pretty hardy from some of the stuff of seen people put them through, it just takes practice and the more grows under your belt the better you will be,

these are at the end of 3 weeks old. Love this flo n gro system. Will take clones tonight of some for the new grow starting in 2 weeks.

well checked the water on the sick plant. PPM went from 140 to 313 and PH went from 5.7 to 7.2 overnight.
Just readjusted PH back to 5.8
What does that mean when the PPM and PH both go up in PH'd water only? Plant getting rid of bad stuff in it's system?

Haven't had that exact experience, but I'd say that PH often drifts up, and can be rather unstable in general at low PPMs with RO water which has nothing to buffer PH. Also your plant is flushing nutrient salts and any other gunk back left in the media back into the reservoir causing PPM's to go up.

Doesn't sound necessarily bad or unusual to me, unless that was a large reservoir making that PH jump. I can't remember, is it?

No it was the 5 gal buckets.

Flo N Gro plants look spectacular! I love mine too. It's a good idea/system that's also well executed. Very easy to use once you have it dialed in, and the plants thrive in it. Love it.

I have some plants that have just taken off! God Bud, Mojo, AK47 and Urban Poison.
The Hawaiian Big bud is just bushier then hell. I'm thinking of either flipping them this monday or give it one more week. I know if they get new nutes at FULL reccommended nutes they will explode! To this point they have gotten 3/4 amount of reccomended nutes.

Thanks everyone for the input! I really enjoy having you guys here.

I almost never run full recommended nutes - I don't believe you need huge amounts of nutrients, you need as much light as possible, and enough nutrients at appropriate ratios. Maybe I'm leaving yield on the table, but I don't think it's because of nutrient levels, it's light, light, light if anything.

Responded to your PM, let me know what you think when you get a minute. :)

I have (2) 1000 watt lights in a 4x8 tent. Is that enough?
I may go full strength one week and see what happens. Don't try it you'll never know.

Thanks for the PM my friend!
