OHH NO! i wonder what happened to that plant? thats not fun to see. i was hoping to drop in and see nothing but good news from you. was that pic of the root rot ladie or one thats recently gotten a little un easy on the eyes?

well if you ever need a gardening buddy just give me a call and i'll come up your way and we'll fix some plants and you can get a second oppinion on what your seeing. i hope your plants get better regardless man i hate seeing them sick

Bad assumption....depends on your water supply. If you have a bunch of minerals in the soil and your water is from a well, your alkalinity will be high.

On your light traps, the idea is to eliminate the donkey dick of flex hose.....just tip the box on it's side and line it up with the LOWER "trapdoor" vent. Long, curved runs of duct really kill the effeciency of the fans. Keep everything short and clean. You may have to tape the box to the tent. The concept you have is right, just ways to tweak it.

Are water is city water that comes from an artsian well. Our citues water supply is only 5 miles from our house. I'll see what info I can get from the cities website on the water supply :thumb:

My big tent has no lower vents sad to say so I ended up having to go that route. I'll see what I can come up with though.

Thanks for the tips!

Hey buddy,,,,have a question for you or anyone else that can answer. I read somewhere in your thread that you were growing Peanut Butter Kush. I either read it or dreamed it. If I indeed read it somewhere, do you have any idea where I can get some seeds? PM me if you like. If this stuff even has a hint of PB flavor I would be in my glory. Peanuts, peanut butter is my favorite.

I love smoked steak on the grill but when I was a kid, I hated steak, hated pretty much all food my parents would give me........Wouldnt eat it unless they let me put peanut butter on it, lol. Peas were a different story,,,,there wasnt and isnt anything that can counter-react them god awful things except for filling your mouth full of them and then saying,,,,,(in a garbled voice) ummm I need to use the potty.

Hmmmm I will see what I can dooooooooo

The root rot plant is healthier looking then my other plant! You want to make the drive Chief head this way! I can use all the opinions I can get at this point. Plant still looks unchanged as of this morning.

I did not know that! I don't have any, will they be ok overnight like that?

And thank you VERY much, reps and props to you for that tid bit of info!
There should be enough cal/mag in your nuts to be ok for a bit bud.(I've grow without cal/mag with RO) One thing you can do is mix your R/O with your tap water to get that extra cal/mag if your really worried about it. Personally I'd just wait tell you can pick up some cal/mag.

Aw,man. Sounds like you're flushing which is probably the best step, always good to reset. How are the roots on that one? Sure a bummer that she's so sick. Dang!

You're quite welcome!

They'll be okay over night. The reason to add CalMag is that RO water is absent of any and all impurities whatsoever. Even Calcium and Magnesium are filtered out of water leaving almost nothing but H2O. CalMag is needed by plants, and a lot of nutrient companies do not take RO into account, pandering to the city tap user instead as they are a larger group... The RO user must, therefore put back a little of what the system indiscriminately took out. Many RO users have shown that it is best to add CalMag to RO water to get the best results. On the other side of the coin, some RO users add nothing and have good results as well. I guess it really depends on your preference, but the Majority say, "Add CalMag."

Further, I see no reason to add back Tap Water to your pure water, that defeats the purpose. You have as near perfectly clear water as can be had by a consumer. Just wait it out and get some Cal-Mag in the morning if you're worried. Later in the day, if you're not.

The roots look ok. 3 days ago the plant was healthy as shit
Right before I dumped the nute water I checked the PPMs and it was at 1850 :yikes:
I have NO idea how they got that high. PH vertually remained unchanged from the day before

I had some RO water a friend gave me and I've been holding on to it for just such an occassion as this. Thanks everyone for the help!
Sure hope this helps. The leaves crumble when you touch them.
I'm just clueless as to what caused this.
Crumble? Are they sort of greyish? or brown?
