Alaskan1's Flo n Gro Mixed Bag Grow

Hey A1, sorry to hear about the Head Cheese man that sucks, I hope you can get it sorted out. I'm kinda thinking that it's a PH lockout hard to say as I'm pretty new to hydro(2nd grow)

I have the vape rollin right now sending the Head Cheese some positive vibes :Hookah:

Any who's thanks for thinking of me when you built your second light trap it looks awesome:thumb:

LOL well I painted the inside black just for YOU!
Thanks for the good vibes man, they need it!

man x i been searchin for that example on google for a while. perfect timing glad you had that handy. im going to have to save that pic

Consider this: If you view it in the gallery, you can go to "photo options" and choose "save to favorite photos" (or something like that). I have several favorites saved similar to this that are actually photos other people uploaded, in addition to some of my own that I favorited. You can then go to the photo gallery, and select your "favorite photos" whenever you want to recall them for posting in a thread, etc...

Just tested the PH of both the headcheese and they were both at 6.4 so I adjusted them back down to 5.3.I will check them tonight before I go to bed and adjust as needed. DAMN the PH goes up fast overnight.

That's a big adjustment and a big jump. I believe that it's recommended to not move your PH more than about .5 at a time, but I've not had issues personally doing slightly more than that. Just asking, but are you confident in your PH calibration?

Which system(s) are going up like that, the DWC buckets? (My guess - small reservoirs are more apt to have those wild fluctuations). If it's something with a bigger reservoir, like the Flo N Gro, then something isn't quite kosher I'd think -- like light hitting the nutrient water or something perhaps?

Hmmm... (thinking, thinking, thinking...)

it's in the DWC and the Big res. Light isn't the issue as the DWC buckets are covered and as far as the big res goes we keep the light off in the room when we aren't in there so I doubt that is it. Overnight the plants ate 200 PPM of nutes. Water went down very little. Right now PPM is sitting at 1080

I have to adjust the PH daily and it's always the same. Adjust to 5.8 or 7 and within 24 hrs it's back up to 6.2 or 3

Ahh, now that tells me something, here's something to write down or save or memorize, perhaps:

PPM's go up, PH goes down: Plants require less nutes.

PPM's go down, PH goes up: Plants require more nutes.

PPM's stable, PH goes up: Equilibrium (Ideal)

I think you might have at least a partial answer there! ;)

Ok, here are the pictures of the sick plant in question. Sorry the light is so terrible but it's the light my HPS bulb gives off.

AK1,

I notice you have nothing to cool the water in the buckets.

Here's pics of a tub from wal mart that works fine. You can get some slender plastic juice bottles like odwalla type and freeze them and drop them in the corners and with the tub filled with water. This cools them down nicely. couple times a day.

As for the root rot, drain the bucket, clean really good, grab a spray bottle, hold the netpot lid with plant up where you can get that spray bottle super close to the roots. Fill it with tap water with some h202 and spray the shit out of the roots. Trying to literally spray out the brown shit. Refill bucket with RO water. Dump about 250 ml of h202 in there. Run the airstone too. Let it work for 6 hours. Then drain and refill the buckets with nutrient as normal and add a small amount of h202 and hygrozyme. The h202 AND hygrozyme will be important for the next few days. You may see some foamy action in a day or two in the bucket. This is ok. It's the h202 killing the bad shit just like when you put it on a dirty road rash scratch or wound. The h202 will be basically dissolved and gone in 3 days or so. You can add more if ya want.

Get the water temps down to sub 68.

I also use 1 gal good heavy ziplock bags since my fridge has an ice maker and drop those into the tub that holds the dwc bucket.

No clue but since it's city water I'm going to assume it's pretty low

Bad assumption....depends on your water supply. If you have a bunch of minerals in the soil and your water is from a well, your alkalinity will be high.

On your light traps, the idea is to eliminate the donkey dick of flex hose.....just tip the box on it's side and line it up with the LOWER "trapdoor" vent. Long, curved runs of duct really kill the effeciency of the fans. Keep everything short and clean. You may have to tape the box to the tent. The concept you have is right, just ways to tweak it.

Hey buddy,,,,have a question for you or anyone else that can answer. I read somewhere in your thread that you were growing Peanut Butter Kush. I either read it or dreamed it. If I indeed read it somewhere, do you have any idea where I can get some seeds? PM me if you like. If this stuff even has a hint of PB flavor I would be in my glory. Peanuts, peanut butter is my favorite.

I love smoked steak on the grill but when I was a kid, I hated steak, hated pretty much all food my parents would give me........Wouldnt eat it unless they let me put peanut butter on it, lol. Peas were a different story,,,,there wasnt and isnt anything that can counter-react them god awful things except for filling your mouth full of them and then saying,,,,,(in a garbled voice) ummm I need to use the potty.

Sorry, puffpuff, I can't find peanut butter seeds on any of the sponsor seed banks. A g**gle search revealed no results for a strain named "Peanut Butter". There was a Sativa Peanut Butter hit, but it was misnamed and a reference to "budder" to describe a type of cannabis concentrate. I'm sorry, I do not remember a strain called Peanut Butter, either. Would be kinda nice to have a strain named it, though, I might even try it.

Regardless of the strain results, there are various results for a THC/CBD infused peanut butter. That is an interesting idea...

Lol,,,,really had me thinking I was dreaming...I just went to AK1's first page of this thread and sure enough there it was.

Peanut butter kush..... OG Kush x Big Bud Indica hybrid
