Well Aston,
It is supposed to get up in the 90's today...(One Hot Mutha!)
It has been a tough season battling the mites, bird shit, and now
I have a new preditor, A big fat RAT!. It is eating all my tomatoes. Everytime one starts to ripen the bastard eats it. I thought of putting out a trap, but didn't want to hurt the squirrels. I am thinking of getting one of those humane traps that catches them and then you can safely release them elsewhere. Fortunately he hasn't attacked my weed yet.
As for the birds, my plant just suffered another attack. Out of all the places a bird shit could hit, it landed right on one of my major buds (can you believe that?)
My ladies have been doing well under the circumstances.
My shorty that preflowered early had some big fat buds on the lower stalk pretty close to the ground. I noticed a couple had molded. After seeing that I figured I would strip out all the molded buds and toss them (Very hard to do). Then I clipped all the good ones (got about 1/2 oz or so) and am drying them in my closet. I bought a kewl digital temp/hydrometer so I could keep an eye on the humidity to make sure it doesn't climb over 55 percent or so. It has been staying between 50-55 with temps in the low 70's. I have been reading a lot of various drying/curing methods. The good thing about clipping these early is I can test the difference between flushed buds and non flushed buds. I thought that would be an interesting test.
What drying/curing methods have you used?
I have been boosting the phosphorous feeding for my ladies.. I am now feeding full dose every other watering. I am hoping this will make the buds swell like a football. So far so good, no adverse affects to the nutes at this level. Nutrients are important at all levels, but I think during flowering is the most critical time.
Are you using the BPN nutes for your outdoor too?
Have you overcome that last issue you had mentioned?
I assume you went ahead and flushed and added fresh nutes?
