Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

Looking good. I wanna see what you can do with that dda, need to learn the technique to run autos in kit :nomo:
Hey there KB, I too wanna see what I can do with an auto in the kit. Before I was using the kit I did grow a few jock horror autos in some different organic soil, holy hell those JH are pretty strong... leave me with a fuzzy head for days! I’m excited...
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for stopping in!

Thanks Ween, I believe I will post in the Q&A later on.

If i was to run an 'Auto'....i would simply start it out in the biggest pot you have ....then treat it like any other plant!
Nuff said!
I concur! :passitleft:

Plant look great dajerm, I love the Panama bud structure.

That destroyer curls it’s leaves down like my GP does sometimes, and I know it’s not an over-abundance of nitrogen, I was feeding on the light side.:hmmmm: By the end the leaves were burnt. I’m testing some stronger drench concentrations to see if she needs something different. She is the most sativa leaning hybrid I have.

Yes sir DL, I am worried about burning her up since she’s not exactly the best looking plant. But I will roll with it, and whatever I learn this round I will put that knowledge toward the next destroyer i grow.

Yea that Panama looks ok... she’s pretty rough. But I expected that seeing as she had photoperiod stress going into flower. I just don’t have the best of luck with clones... they seem to always get weird on me just before going into flower. But I’ll try clones again one day soon.
Thank you for the kind words DL, I’ll be growing some fake plants one of these days!

The CD-1 looks perfect love how low she is staying short and tight.
the destroyer sure is wonky but like everyone says I bet she will surprise us

Good Job

HA just got my PRESIDENTIAL Cell Phone ALERT
 Same, now let’s just hope he doesn’t attempt to use it as his new Twitter!!
Thanks for the kind words Gazoo, I’m sure hoping that Destroyer puts on a show. That bit of pink/purple in the newer Growth sure has me anxious to see what she does!!

Yeah, me too. You can opt out of flood/weather alerts and amber alerts but not the prez alert. I can't imagine what I would need to,be alerted of from the prez, nuclear war?

So true Gazoo, let’s hope someone else is in charge of sending those out!

Ya know Ween, it’s kinda strange how they got that up and working shortly after those middles that were fired with Death to the USA and death to this and that... pretty crazy times... scary times really. I’m sure it’s a coincidence, they were taking like over a month ago about getting this alert system up and running. I just hope he isn’t planning on starting a war. No winners there...

Well gang, I may need to transplant the Destroyer this weekend. Having a hard time keeping her healthy, she needs feeding every other day now. She is starting to want to fade a bit, yesterday I gave her a heavy TP drench and she does look better but dont want to continue down this path. I cant usually get them to daily feeding without them going south on me.

Destroyer is 12-14 week strain, so that will work nicely with the Panama being about half way through now.
And since autos dont need a veg light cycle, I am thinking I could also squeeze one of the DDAs in there too. But only if it would do good with a flower light cycle germination to harvest. Last time I did autos I think I ran them 18/6 but I’ll need to find my old paper journal to be sure.
Anyone think thats a bad idea?

Hope its a great morning for all!

I don't think Destroyer will run that long. Mine was a 10 week finisher.

Autos run just fine under 11/13. :slide:

Awesome, thanks Gray! Happy to hear I maybe won’t go the full 14... I mean if it dies that’s ok... as long as she produces well.
Sweet, I didn’t want to have to wait until it was the DDA only... just so it could have its own light cycle. So much conflicting info on the webs regarding cannabis it’s hard to know for sure what’ll work. I understand most like using 18+ hours for their autos... but if I can still get a good harvest it’s all good!

Hope you’re having a great day Gray! Thanks again!

There's something about light cycle and intensity that gets overlooked.

We run 18/6 or 20/4 in veg, and we run 12/12 or 11/13 in bloom ... and we know that the plant needs more light intensity in bloom ...

But a big part of that is something called Daily Light Integral (DLI). The light requirement is actually the total for the day. DLI = intensity x duration. A sunny morning and a cloudy afternoon is equal to a partly cloudy day.

So when we cut daylight hours, we have to boost intensity. :)

It's not an ironclad rule, but it's a big part of the need for more light in bloom. So in veg, we only need 60% of the intensity we need for bloom. But we're also running that lower intensity for more hours per day. 18 hours @ 25 watts/sqft = 450. 11 hours @ 40 watts/sqft = 440. :)

So, anyway, think of autos that way. All they need is the light - doesn't matter much how they get it.

Wow Gray... that was awesome! Man you sure seem smart, good with math and such, I’m jealous. Thank you very much for that great explanation.
I have been running 16/8 instead of 18/6 in veg... but am thinking maybe this is why I keep getting pistils showing in veg... but I’ve been assured 16/8 is just as good as 18/6.
What are your thoughts on that 2 hour difference if you could be so kind?

Thanks Gray I like how that was explained

This is another reason I like using HID the HPS for flower is stronger then the MH and should compensate
for the less time, at least thats how I think it should work:)

This last grow I could only get them to 1.75 days between water, thats when I started to notice
the same issues. Very Hard to keep up with the cycle and did not want to loss the growth or stall
the girls.
