Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

Speaking of tents in a garage. I am going to attempt a winter grow. It will get down to 50s at-least in there. Definitely will setup the fan filter in a recirculated setup to use the heat from the lights to help the oil electric heater. Cant do fresh air. It will suck the heat right out. Will have to insulate somehow as well.

And if you're not going to vent heat, you can set up a little CO2 bag or something.

Any suggestions?

Heheh, actually, no.

Over the years, I've seen a lot of McGuyver setups along with the commercial ones on the 'zon, but I've always had to vent, so I never pursued it. But even with insulation, I still have to heat the room at night in the winter, so I've been musing about how to take advantage of that. I tried shutting off the fan but the room overheated within an hour, so I still have to vent heat when the lights are on but not constantly. But when I have to run the fan, the room flushes out heat and the humidity which is my biggest issue in winter - no moist air anywhere. And when I was thinking about stale air, I was also thinking about CO2. But if I have to run a fan for a few minutes every half hour, I can't keep a CO2-rich atmosphere anyway. I could do it at night, but not after lights-on. :hmmmm:

It's annoying.

But then I remember that I'm a hobbyist, and I try to get a better grip. Y'know?

Why would you have to turn off the fan if it’s recirculating? I direct my exhaust to blow the warm air down to the floor to keep roots warmer. With a circulator fan as well. Would the carbon filter trap co2? I don’t think it would but don’t know for sure.

That's my issue - I can't recirculate - I have to dump heat when the lights are on. At night I can just shut off the fan. And no, the carbon filter will pass CO2.

What about putting your vents on your light timer, so that it only vents when the lights are on.

The humidity loss though. I feel you there. My RH drops way down in the winter. I run a cool humidifier all the time in the winter and there are periods where it still drops lower than I'd like.

Sounds just like my setup.

I need to fiddle with timer settings. I bet I can work out something - vent a few minutes at a time.

I actually don't have any ventilation in my flower room. Just the exhaust for the AC unit. I tried to tie it in with my veg exhaust but it pulls air in through my AC exhaust and conter-acts the AC. I was hitting 100F in the spring before I blocked the exhaust from my flower room.

Ok gang, a quick up date on the three ladies I have going at the moment.

First up is the CD-1, she is looking pretty. Keeping nice tight internodes!

Next up is the Destroyer, she is such a strange plant. I am still happy I kept her around but hope she doesn't get really weird once in flower. Strangest thing about her is the self topping, and right after that she started alternating nodes... so she just grew basically like a clone would... I will probably wait a week or two and see if the leaves straighten out... doubt they will but we shall see.

And last we have the panama clone 2.0... not pretty so just some fluffy bud shots.
I did actually give her a Cat two days ago, She started drinking way faster so figured the roots were a bit better. I know it was way late but I do notice more frost!

Thanks for looking everyone, hope you are all having a great day so far!

Looking good Daj! Destroyer is odd but she'll pull through and produce some good buds for ya. How much longer for Groot 2.0?

:passitleft:
Saturday will be 7 weeks in... so maybe 5 more to go. I’m not sure, but I’m thinking that the leaf damage may make her finish a bit early. Which is fine by me. I’ll be transplanting that Destroyer in a couple weeks or so. Needing water every 2 dad now. Then when she’s out of the veg room I’ll start another seed... or maybe wait a week or two and drop a Dark Devil Auto.

Should I do autos in 7 or 10 gal? Do you guys that grow them in the kit start in final container? Seems like a good idea...

Thanks Ween and Duggs for the kind words!!
