Aberration Goes Ker Bloom! - Perpetual

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Hey there bro. You know the good thing about feeding the beneficials in your soil? When they poop, they feed the plant. :grinjoint:

Organic farmers add molasses to what they till under so the bacteria are vigorous and eat the stalks/foliage of the plants that got tilled under...and that makes the soil rich with plant available nutrients in the soil from the decomposition.

It is a source for organic calcium, magnesium, sulphur, and lots of other trace mineral's all from boiled down plant matter so it is organic.

:peace: brother.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

thats just awsome!! I cant wait to see the conclusion of the experiment.

I have been watching that one with much interest. I love great little tricks like that.

Looking forward to seeing that update. :ganjamon:

:peace: brother, from the snowy wet mountains.

Thanks for dropping by guys. I don't know how useful it will be, but it seems like it might have value to minimize numbers. I dunno. Sure is interesting though. ;)

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I'm so jazzed to see that air clone as well.

Good questions on the Molasses. I think all the thing mentioned are right on, and I think it also is high in P which we all know is good for bloom. Also, I think there's an element of sucrose in there and plants use sucrose for healthy cell walls. It promotes both faster movement of water between cells by osmosis and it gives the plant better cell wall strength all over.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I gotta get me some biology. ;)

BTW, when I took down BD (Blue Dream) I accidentally snipped off about 4 marble sized buds. I hate it when I do that cause they don't dry the same. Mostly because they just sit on a plate exposed to the air until I smoke them or toss them.

So I just smoked a few bowls of this poorly dried bud. This is some fairly stony shit. I have a silly grin. I can't wait to try the regularly dried and cured version.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Pictures!

I love doing pictures. Photography is a blast.

:welcome:

:bongrip:

OK, first, from the 20th, when I transplanted, here is BD.1J (Blue Dream) right before she went into the 5 gallon pot:

20100320Aber-01.jpg

20100320Aber-02.jpg

Here's CryLo.1A (Crystal Locomotive) right before I put her in a ~2-1/2 gallon pot:

20100320Aber-03.jpg

20100320Aber-04.jpg

Here's one of the Ls (Lavender) - L2 I think. They all looked about like this. They were wilting too fast in those little pots:

20100320Aber-05.jpg

20100320Aber-06.jpg

And then I took a random picture. Later, looking at it, I saw this. It's been there a long time:

20100320Aber-07.jpg

Then we come to today. :grinjoint:
:bong:

First, I picked up the dried BD (Blue Dream). She went 71 days, and let me tell you, she's great now. I can't wait to have her cured up. She did 350.2 grams so a hair over 12 oz. :yahoo: I am overjoyed with the result. It is some fine, fine smoke my friends. Wow :ganjamon: I feel like I just became a new father again.

20100325Aber-01.jpg

A little closer you say? OK...

20100325Aber-02.jpg

Here's veg right now. I need to thin and transplant.

Seriously:

20100325Aber-03.jpg

Right. Who doesn't love bud porn? :bongrip:

First (I know, I'm a tease), here's a shot of bloom:

20100325Aber-04.jpg

I hate that light. So I killed the HPS lights and added 2 4' floros overhead to the light of the MH.

And, yes, they all get names eventually, some better than others.

First, here's KK2 (dubbed 'Kiki', Kaia Kush @ 47/75 days). She's yellowish, but improving. She's 61" tall. Add 15" for the height of the pot and the casters and she towers over my head. :loopy: I keep forgetting I have an indoor grow apparently:

20100325Aber-05.jpg

In fact, the buds look great:

20100325Aber-06.jpg

20100325Aber-07.jpg

G13xGB ('Gigi', G13 x Godbud @ 47/55) is healthier, but at 60" she is also too big:

20100325Aber-08.jpg

Her buds are looking good. They may not bulk up enough for my taste on this big of a plant. We shall see shortly:

20100325Aber-09.jpg

20100325Aber-10.jpg

20100325Aber-11.jpg

20100325Aber-12.jpg

These next three went in together and have been christened 'Faith', 'Hope', and 'Charity'.

Here's an over/under of KK2.1B ('Faith', Kaia Kush @ 19/75, 55"). I couldn't back far enough away anywhere that I could get her all in one shot, and my stitching software made it look terrible. I let her get too big:

20100325Aber-13.jpg

20100325Aber-14.jpg

Here are some of her little budlets:

20100325Aber-15.jpg

20100325Aber-16.jpg

Here's PS.1E ('Hope', Purple Sage @ 19/65, more sane at 45"). She has such a fat stem. I also know she will grow some tasty bud. It will be energizer bud too:

20100325Aber-17.jpg

20100325Aber-18.jpg

20100325Aber-19.jpg

20100325Aber-20.jpg

Here's G13xGB.1A. ('Charity', G13 x Godbud @ 19/55, 52"):

20100325Aber-21.jpg

20100325Aber-22.jpg

Finally, here's the new girl, BD.1J ('Betty Jane', Blue Dream @ 5/70, 35"), which you might remember from the top of this post.

20100325Aber-23.jpg

Her growing tip is rockin':

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

AGkB do you use Bloom Power. I don;t think I ever see it mentioned in your regime.

Awesome round of pictures, you are an extremely talented grower:bravo::bravo:

Thanks, but I wish they were a tad smaller.

.... every plant is POTM worth. i know im stoooned but wtf, man.

seriously, show me the way to do that. lmao

Thank you. In fact, I decided to throw a couple pics of G13xGB into the POTM contest last night. We will see...

As for how, it's pretty much all in the journal. And as soon as I have enough time to put together a new overview, I plan to start a new perpetual journal. I intend to leave no details out...

Thank you. No, don't use Bloom Power. I keep meaning to...

:thanks:

I don't know how to convey how impressed I am. Your room and plants are simply some of the best. Anywhere. In the world.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Thank you. No, don't use Bloom Power. I keep meaning to...

It totally works big time, I would try it out sometime.

Have you ever experimented with 36 hours of darkness to start and ended it with 72 hours of darkness?

The darkness in the beginning works like a charm throwing your babies in to the flowering cycle, coupled with the bloom power, two weeks in looks like about three to four weeks in, IMHO. Not that you need any help, your girls are the bomb.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Looking fantastic, I for one hope you continue to grow the plants too tall as it is more fun to watch that way. lol.

I really like the lighting setup in this photo. Looks really efficient.

Pictures like this are really just showing off and shouldn't be allowed.

In all seriousness this is my favorite grow going right now and is what I aspire towards in my grow, just on a smaller scale. Keep Rockin:headbanger:

I don't know about that. But thanks, man. I'm always impressed you can keep your grow so small.

I have a bottle. I'll try to get it into the routine. You must live near me.

I have different strains in the same room on different schedules, so I don't have a way to give some of them darkness while the others get the light. I've been wanting to try both techniques. When I get phase two of my grow built later this year, I'll have the room to do things like that.

Very Impressive Grow... I love the adjustable lighting... It sure beats my Milk Carton Method!

Thank you. Yeah, the lights are good but I need easier adjusters somehow. This way, I have to do each light. I've tried to come up with a plan that lets me raise them all in one move, but then they go back down to their individual places. I haven't come up with a simple enough plan yet.

Looking fantastic, I for one hope you continue to grow the plants too tall as it is more fun to watch that way. lol.

Hehe. I seriously need them to finish about a foot shorter. I just have to find the optimum bloom start height for each strain. That's why I need to be more consistent about measuring at start of bloom and at finish. That way I start to build the data needed to work that out. I'm not the intuitive type. I like numbers.

Thanks for the compliments y'all. I'm not sure how to respond. I'm happy to share what I'm doing. It's a blast! :bongrip:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Yes. I figure living organisms will do better if I don't shock them. I make sure the mix is at the right pH before I add them. I do the same with Bt-i and anything similar.

:peace:

Good to know, I started using the companion b/c of your journal. I actually found this site by searching about the carbon jolt. Now i am kind of using this journal as a resource:thanks:
