A Four Strain Barney’s Farm Grow

Thank you, GDB. Its been a good last couple grows. I've been more than happy with the quality.
Its getting harder and harder to get stuff done.

I do like the sound of Tropicana Banana. Us Queenslanders are called banana benders by other nasty and jealous Australian states. I just hope I can wake her

This ended up being a 2 grow journal. The first half we had the White Widow XXL, Kush Mintz, Critical Kush and a Blue Gelato 41. They were all supposed to be similar widow variations, the first three were similar. The first Blue Gelato 41 ended up with having some male parts and was culled. The 2nd was a Sativa strong pheno that went 84 days in flower and could easily have gone another 30 days. Its sativa spacey, I like it alot for daytime. The other standout for me was the Critical Kush. All were good.

Lately I have been letting the buds get more and more into senescence or death before chopping. Not everyone likes this and want to see green to the end. The trichomes aren't as shiny anymore and tend to look more greasy, the chlorophyll has already started breaking down. I think the buds are potent. They were plenty pretty just a few weeks before the chop.

Oh nice stuff!! I'm growing Barney's for the first time, critical kush, so far great plant, crazy amount hairs I'm seeing in the pics here. Can't wait to get to that stage.

And I’m happy to wait till March if you want a good break.

My lucky numbers are 3, 21, and 68. We can do 6+8 and get 14 to work on days of the month tho.

If we can incorporate one of those numbers as a start date in either Feb or March I’d be stoked. I’m all about pointless superstitions to bring good luck lollling.

You might like a short veg. I do. This batch was 23 days and the smallest was 89g. I will get too crowded with a longer veg. If needed we can just grow the same same for however long.

Does that mean you are going to measure and compare DLI/light from seedling to harvest? I'd love to see two growers with the same genetics, medium, nutrients, VPD and DLI... or as many of those as possible. Then it really is down to the grower.

Not me. Its all for fun!

It'll be same genetics and soil. I think It would be hard to have a true comparative if not clones grown side by side.

My new lights are arriving today. I'm excited. Included will be some new things to try. There will be some independent 100w bars for seedlings, sprouts or fill. A light controller and some of the new supplemental 30w LED, UVA / UVB bars. I hear mixed opinions on adding any UV to a grow. Its new and will be added with caution. Fun stuff!

This morning I came across this pic while looking on FB. I thought it looked familiar. Its mine from the last. I had to roll an early morning widow fatty and smile. It was chunky with a 21 day veg.

Today feels alot like Xmas. In addition to my new lights, I also received a new Smart Controller and some new high end sensors from G-Systems today. I met the owner at Cannafest in November and he asked if I would evaluate the controller.

The old was the @Mars Hydro FC 4800 with 480 watts. A fantastic light that helped grow some very nice plants. The new has 465 watts.

I started sampling some from this grow. This morning a sativa tester was rolled. I put it down after a third. Its a keeper! Funny how things get classified. It went 80 days in flower. Thanks for checking in.

Good morning. The rh in the jars has been dropping into the smokeable range. The standouts are the two no name test strains. Its too early for any real smoke reports. I don't describe small details very well anymore anyway.
Everything is pretty good and the bud is full and solid!

This grow started with 9 plants that vegged 23 days from sprout. Two developed some male parts shortly after flipping, they were eventually culled. 1 was from an S1, MxOP. The other was the 2nd Indica tester.

The first to be chopped was the Indica at 82 days, the 2nd sativa was the last at 102 days-Sprout to final chop! The yield was good on all.

Here are a couple pics of the Indica before harvest. It was a pretty plant.
