4inch PVC Aero/NFT 4x5 SCROG - 1200 Watts

Re: 4inch PVC Aero/NFT 4x5 SCROG (1200 Watts)

Hey, I am about to take my Hindu Skunk thats was half dead and turn it into clones. I have already made myself a "Cloner" with a Rubbermaid container and sprayers. The thing is...I am thinking I want to grow these in soil when they are bigger so... what can i do? Can I just stick the roots in some dirt when roots have developed or can I take clones and put them in 1" Rockwool cubes and place those cubes in the net pot in the cloner?

Any suggestions would be great!

Man your plants are tall already. 14"! Good job

I have limited experience when transferring clones from a DWC cloner to soil. However, I have done it successfully.

Here's my advice:

Transplant when the roots are 3 to 4 inches long.
Make sure the soil is SOAKING wet and keep it that way for the first 3 or 4 days.
Use weak lighting. A single CFL 3 feet above the clones will do. They don't need much light to take.
Don't fool with a humidity dome. If you do they will wilt once you remove it.

This is only what I know that works. I'm certaily not an authority on this. Good luck.

The clones 19 days after popping roots.

They are looking nice. Do you or are you using a conversion bulb when you switch to 12/12? Because I have my plants under (2) 400 watt lights and debating on swtiching the bulbs for the flower cycle.

wow..you make it look so easy...GREAT grow man..
Im a 1st timer..on my first soil grow..Im sure i will get tired of ALL THE WORK soon enough..I think i need to learn the hard way first, as usual.

Good luck.

Grow in the manner you see fit and don't worry about others. I will say though, that this setup is much cleaner and easier to maintain than any dirt grow I ever did.

That's a good question

My favorite scrog to date has been G 13 Haze

Here's a couple of the overview shots from DoopSther's grow

metal screen?

looks like it could be a pain to get the bud out. but they look nice.

i hope 420fied's is as nice if not nicer. GL.

Re: 4inch PVC Aero/NFT 4x5 SCROG (1200 Watts)

I will be really psyched to see 420fied's screen fill out.

After reading 420fied's question, I spent some time this morning trying to find a SCROG grow with this large of a screen and couldn't.

This is going to be fantastic, and I think the extra clearance he left was the smartest move yet - there's going to be a whole lotta weaving going on;)

Stix had a scrog grow using the ebb and flow with about 24 plants............I think

Re: 4inch PVC Aero/NFT 4x5 SCROG (1200 Watts)

We may have a problem. I initially thought the plants were suffering from nute burn although my PPM has never been over 470. I think I have some sort of deficiency and considering that this is my first hydro grow, I'm not sure what it may be. I've taken some good pictures of the condition and would appreciate any feedback on a fix.

I actually recalibrated my ph meter this morning and it was off. It should have read 4.0 when submerged in the 4.0 solution but it read 4.5 so I fixed that.

I think my ph was too low and it has caused a deficiency.

I do not think this is nute burn. For the last 4 days I've ran them at 300 PPM.

This condition is on all plants.
