480W & 720W LED Grow - Land of Clovers

re: 480W & 720W Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers

hi all,
i asked about the lights a page or 2 ago and i guess a better way of asking it would be do you think that you could get the same gram per watt ratios and the same quality of meds out of each spectra??? providing same strain and growing/living conditions/ferts
if you can get 1.2 grams per watt with the 300
than do you think that you could than get 1.2gpw or close enuf to call it even out of the 120 and 180 also
or do you think that the gpw ratios would be differant if all used in the website stated saturation zone or coverage area for each individual light?
for some reason i been thinking that in the gpw comparison when used as recomended for each light is going to change dramatically---however since it's led i'm not sure that there would be a differance or not, watching your grow will kinda help me out on my decision asto what size of lights i get but than again you have differant potentcies of lights with differant strains.
another question i have is when you hang these lights would it make much differance if the coverage area outside of the core saturation area is overlapped with an identical lights outer coverage area also or would you just hang them by the websites stated coverage area or overlap them to help provide core saturation even in the outer spaces?

i hope you dont mind i'll prolbably be a pain in butt on the website here asking questions and such untill i get all my rooms built with equipment in place--hopefully a few months after that i can share some budporn

Thanks for the info, Irishboy. After I posted the question I thought about it and figured it would probably be on the first page. Doh!!
no worries bro
Thanks for clearing things up Irish! DM still seems to do wonders....

-Go-
it should do wonders but to be honest if its not complete and i have to add things then that just takes the point away for me.
Magnesium (Mg) Toxicity
Magnesium toxicity is rare and not generally exhibited visibly. Extreme high levels will antagonize other irons in the nutrient solution(Zinc)
i dont think its a toxicty issue, i think its at Zinc or Iron issue since the DM red dosent have Zinc.

i have no clue bro ive never used the lower watt ones so i dont know about the different GPW.

i know if the lights are closer u will get more intense light from the two, but to be honest you would need to hang the lights according to ur setup. if u have a few plants they it would be wise to hang them closer but if u have allot of plants then it would be best to spread them out more. ive never looked at the web site i just hang them to what looks good to me.

no problem bro.

180w tent with Casey Jones 29 days in flower.

Bud growth stopped for a little bit from this Zinc Def and its cleared out a ton of resin. i think she's getting better already after feeding her some chelated Zinc/Iron a few days ago. One of the worse def problems ive ever had. i am sure yield will suffer.

Heres some bud porn.

Hey irishboy do you have any pics you could post for me of all the older Spectra models? I am curious as to how differen't each generation looks (there is 2011, the ones you have used, and then the ones I suspect are quite old from his website)

Thanks buddy
Its on the 1st page

Irish in regard to the XG products the jacks are getting I dont see any nutes listed. You had listed "FERTILIZERS: (Xtreme-Gardening Product line) Mykos, Mykos30, Cal/carb, Azos, Xtreme Tea Brew"

Is the extreme tea a complete nute or did you also use some of there feeder packs?

Also for addition to the CRF's I came across this and think it could balance the OC+ out quite well. and maybe even eliminate the cal/mag. It only feeds for 2-3 weeks at a time but has lots of Cal.

PURE Granular Bloom Formula. OMRI Listed.
1 - 5 - 4 + 6% Ca
Organicare Pure Bloom | Botanicare

Thanks,
CH

all those ferts i listed and i just said were mixed into my soil, each one is a different thing and the tea is on its own. Mykos is added to the transplant hole, Mykos30 is the organic TRF thats mixed into the top 6" of soil. Azos is added to the base of the plant once a week in veg at the rate or 1tsp then watered in. Cal/carb is a foalir spray that gives ur plants CO2 and cal. spray plants every 2-4 weeks. and the tea once a week.

To be honest i am done with the TRF's once something goes wrong its a monster and you cant stop it. my girls are getting out of hand and i do now think its too much K for this strain and its locking things out maybe, and theirs nothing i can do to slow down the K because its TRF. IDK whats going on? but if they dont clear up in a week i am going to pull them. I dont like not having control of my medium.

i rather stick with the Mykos30 since its organic and a TRF. my Jacks are rocking out very nice and are very very frosty. i dont dig the OC+ NPK and the chems you cant flush out. i might add some to my Casey Jones if i cant get her token care of just to see if it will help as a last resort, but i dont really like the idea of growing chems anymore and am going the organic rout now on.

re: 480W & 720W Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers

Casey Jones girls are not looking too good. nothing i can do but Foliar spray the medium stays too wet to flush, not digging the soil/coco mix. wish i would have went with SS#4

they yellowing allot on new growth a few have white on the leaves and some of the tips are dying back. i am going to try a few things and if a no go i am going to chop them down. not trying to waist time on them ill just start fresh while their simi young.

If they've been taken this far I think you might as well try and finish them. If anything you may learn how to fix them and have that experience for the future. And if they aren't quite up to bag appeal then you could just make hash or cannabutter.

they just hit week 4 and their a 10 weeks strain so i rather stop while i am almost 1/2 threw. every sugar leaf that yellow its loses it resin, i rather just start over and have a good grow and not waist my time. i have a feeling its the DM red putting off too much K and theirs no way to stop it. i just want to start fresh and ditch the TRF/DM red and start fresh if things dont get better in a week.

i foliar sprayed them with some micro blast, so if that dont do it then IDK what to say
