480W & 720W LED Grow - Land of Clovers

re: Irish Boy's - 480W & 720w Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers

Yep. I've been reading all the same stuff you're posting here, Irishboy.

The soil I used for my blackberry....the wicked purple, frosty stuff I posted pics of....that was basically Subcool's soil, fortified with a bit of OC+, because I was growing in pots less than half of what Subcool recommends for volume.

And the taste is really special. I'm using molasses, however, not sucanat.
Hydro for yield, organic soil for quality.

didnt you use FFOF though? Maybe Roots Organics would have been a better choice? he says the quality is even better with the Roots and thats the RO is the main soil thats used in supper soil, you can use others like FFOF or SS#4 but roots will give you better results from what ive read. did you also let it sit out in the sun for 30 days before using? i Imagen you just cut down the recipe? or did you make it just like this?
Did you just trans plant ur seedlings and clones or start it in this mix?

6 Bags Roots soil or equivalent high quality supped up grow soil
25 pounds Pure Worm Castings
½ cup Azomite trace minerals
2/3 Cup Sweet Lime IE Dolomite
1 Kilo Bone meal / IE 5 Pounds
1 Kilo Blood meal ( I use a bit more bone than Blood in this recipe)
1 Kilo Bat Guano bloom formula preferably Fruit bats
3/4 cup Epson Salts
The Perlite and Coco I happen to have and it will make a better mix but it is not necessary.

we add water and let it cook in the sunshine. 30 days is best for this concentrate and it can be used to condition soil as detailed in the soil 101 thread. Do Not Put Clones or Seeds in this mix!

That plant was a special plant my friend. Quality of quanty any day for me!
Thanks for sharing the smoke taste report with me, ive always wanted to try this soil mix.

Molasses works great also and still way cheaper then the watered down molasses from the hydro store.lol.

I can see ur thinking like me, if you want to grow the best weed do what the growers are doing that grow the best weed.. Subcool grows some really really super dank!! He knows his shit thats for sure. quality is everything to him

IB,

Sucanat sounds similar to this stuff a guy named Bone Carver likes:

I haven't found it yet, but I haven't hit any tiendas :)
i would just stick to Sucanat, different things are processed differently.
Is Sucanat used though veg also ?
you can use it at any stage, but flowering is the main stage IMO.

Heres some pics of the 180W grow tent right after some LST'ing. its amazing how fast these plants react to this method. never seems to bothers then at all within a Hour they have all the leaves facing up again.

re: Irish Boy's - 480W & 720w Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers

couple of the jacks arnt looking so good, they seem to be in shock from the trans plant. time to find a new source from clones. these ones come in the 6 pack RW cubes so you have to cut the RW to get each plants out and its not fun pulling the cube apart with all the roots growing threw it. not counting the few hour drive home. Ill give them a few days and see what happens? if not ill find a new source to get clones, ive never had such bad luck with clones before then these last 2 batches. 2 are looking droopy and two are doing ok, so i will either just grow the 2 and LST them pretty good 2 make 2 fat all plants or just add 2 more clones. the one bad thing is since these clones where big from the get go its going to be hard to LST them since the stocks are bigger.

re: Irish Boy's - 480W & 720w Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers

Maybe the girls just need a wee-bit more time settling in IB...

Driving sucks, the 6 pack sounds like it's a horrible idea. I would consider the new route as well.

Best of luck and good vibes.:yahoo:

Just played catch up on this one. Your other harvest looked good. Sorry you had a little bad luck at the end. Subscribed as usual.

thanks bro!
I will give them some time ti settle in. the 6 back is just a way for cloners to save money, its a horrible way to make cuttings.

always good to have you on my thread. ya a little bad luck seems to be the ways its been lately for me.lol. lets just hope things turn around. At least my Casey Jones clones are looking great. their loving the LST i did on them so far.

Heres some pics of the 300w Jack Here girls. 1 of them is having a Nitrogen def it had one from the start but its not getting better, i am going to feed her some of the Xtreme gardening Azos since it has plenty of Nitrogen in it and see what it dose for her. put heres some pics showing how 2 of them are drooping pretty good.

re: Irish Boy's - 480W & 720w Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers

I have to share this with you guys. i am very happy and blown away right now. as you could see in the pics i posted earlier one of my plants was really really bad and i thought 100% for sure she way dead. i was reading the Xtreme Grading product book they sent me. i notice their product called Azos said it will reduce stress and shock to the plants. i was worried about giving it to my plants when this stressed and early but since i thought that 1 plant was as good as dead i said screw it! i put 1tsp of Azos at the base of the stem and gave it a little water to let it drain into the Rockwell cube. in a matter of hours this is what it did!

check this out before Azos
100_3772.JPG

After Azos look how much the top stem is standing up now. cant wait to see what happens in a day or so?
100_37811.JPG

For those of you who are saying WTF is Azos?lol. its a sample product i got out of many from xtreme gardening that i was told to use the 1st week on the 3rd or 4th day @ the rate of 1tsp at the base of the plant and water in with none PH'ed water. heres some info to understand what it is a little more. I was very skeptical about this product but after seeing it make my girl start to rise up again i am starting to becoming a believer. I am very curios to see if it fixes my Nitrogen def on that one plant that has a big one? i really dont want to get my hopes up yet but i am getting very happy every hour. i was planing of pulling this girl and getting another one to replace her in a few days but that might change. i am going to give all of my plants a dose of this Azos stuff. I am thinking of giving them a Foliar spray soon also of their Cal/Carb as directed on my feed chart they made for me all it says is week 1 and ect.. so i am just winging it as to what day # to apply this cal/carb? i know they want me to feed it every other week. I will take before after pic of the cal/carb also when i do deiced to apply it, so we can determine if it works good or not? but i would say so far they Azos works! time will tell

Azos (Azospirillum Brasilense XOH)

Is the world’s most powerful nitrogen-fixing bacteria. First isolated in the Amazon Rainforest, RTI has since cultured this beneficial microbe into an agressive, high-potency root drench providing tremendous benefits to plants. Azos will not only boost root structure growth, prevent transplant shock, and act as a catalyst, sparking the secretion of IAA (Indole-3-Acetic-Acid) and other plant growth promoting hormones, but it will also eliminate the need for chemical fertilizing. Azos transforms your plant into a lightning rod for nitrogen fixation, allowing it to ingest up to 70% of its nitrogen needs straight from the atmosphere. No longer are hi-output growers on their hands and knees bowing down to the market’s chemical dependence for nitrogen fertilizer, but now they are free to access the bounty of Mother Nature herself. There is nearly an inexhaustable amount of nitrogen floating around us in the air at any one moment. Azos simply gives your plants the ability to harness this natural nitrogen source and utilize it to keep your crop healthy through a natural and balanced biological maintenance routine
Key Benefits Provided by Azos:
Extracts Nitrogen From the Air and Feeds It to Your Plants
Accelerates and Extends Root System
Increases Root Growth by up to 300%
Increases Disease Drought, and Stress Tolerance
Gives Plants the Ability to Thrive in Nutrient Poor Soils Quickly-Inoculates for Immediate Results
(Comparable to a Tea)
Increases Resistance to Root Shock Eliminates Nitrogen Leaching Into Groundwater
(Efectively stopping algae blooms, and dead zones which arise from it)

In agriculture, aproximately 90% of the total fossil fuel energy consumed is from nitrogen fertilizer. Transportation to the mill consumes aproximately 25-30% of the total energy and field preparation consumes another 13%. Consequently, minimizing fertilizer inputs by utilizing Azos, would result inthe greatest possible decrease in fossil energy use and its associated green house gas emissions.
Azos is also applied with the sole purpose of saving money. Besides its ability to substantially decrease carbon emissions, it also saves money that would normally be spent on nitrogen fertilizer. Azos helps not only to improve the environment, but also to improve the size of your wallet and your yield. Although Azos has similar benefits as Mykos, Azos divides faster. Azos‘ many positive effects can be seen in only four days, while Mykos can take up to two weeks before it forms an association with plant roots. Azos uses an amino acid to set the trigger, increasing root girth, length, hair growth and lateral root growth, thereby increasing overall plant growth. It can do all this without Mykos, but combined Azos and Mykos have proven to be more powerful. In nature, they occur together in the soil and have evolved to work with each other to help host plants survive in harsh conditions and thrive in normal conditions. Together these organisms do things for a plant which neither can do alone; more than symbiotic — they are synergistic.

Azos and Mykos work in unison, mutually benefiting each other–the AZOS gets the increased phosphorus it requires through MYKOS’ super-mining characteristics, and MYKOS gets the increased, biologically-delivered nitrogen it requires in order to maximize plant growth and yield. AZOS dramatically benefits your crop by allowing for completely natural, 100% biological-maintenance of your crop, while still delivering results that equal and more often than not exceed, the results of chemical fertilizing. AZOS uses the biology of the plant to allow it to absorb the optimal amount of Nitrogen at its own pace, eliminating the worry about “burning” and Ph Up or Down. AZOS brings balance to your plants and with it, comes the healthy, lush, unparalleled quality that only Mother Nature can deliver.

re: Irish Boy's - 480W & 720w Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers

Hope she pulls through Irish.

What's the deal with your clone sources?

You're an experienced grower, using quality gear, and you shouldn't be having to deal with these problems.

If I could, I'd love to hook you up with a few of my PPP clones. They would do you right.

Dealing with all these clones issues would sure motivate me to keep a mom or two.

I know its BS, i am done with this clone source. I called them and told them whats up and they want to replace them if they dont pull threw, but its a waist of time for me at this point. these arnt cheap i paid $15 per clone for $60 for all 4. i dont know locals that are willing to part with clones, they wont hook none up because their all their own breed and keep it for them selfs.

I would love to give that PPP strain a run. that strain kicks ass bro. I want to get a mom and i am in the works of it, just need to get the funds to get another little area to keep one. i am on the look for the perfect strain for a mom, and this is why ive been testing different strains. i think she might be a space queen or a sweet tooth? those are my next strains if i can time it right? i want to see what i can turn out. You are a very lucky man to have those PPP clones.

i am going back to the old clone source i got my Hindu skunk's from. its just a journey, but i am seeing its worth it now.lol. Ive never ever had trouble getting my clones to start off and grow. lets just hope these Jack Herers pull threw! i really really want to grow this strain real bad.

re: Irish Boy's - 480W & 720w Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers

Try spraying them with a little water and putting a clear 12oz cup over them.. Like a small humidity dome.. It will help them pull through the stress.. Works for me every time.. Give it a try on one or two of the real stressed ones..

If the girls are too big for the 12oz cups, try clear 1 or 2 liter pop bottles...

whats that do? help lesson the work load on the roots from pulling water?

Have you had ur girls stress out like that and lean over and droop, and you did this and their came back? I am down to give it a try if it could help them bounce back
:thankyou:
