Man cleaning? I don't do much of that lol. I should and want to more. To be honest theres whole 9 week flowering runs that I don't do much other than an extra gallon of water poured on the backside of the tray right before I dump out the res.Thanks s1ingblade, I like the PVC inside the tray, I was thinking of building a stand alone PVC tray & light holder with the reservoir under the tray, I'm old and don't like to bend over that much (I'll leave that to the lady's). In a couple of months when I start my "Grow Zone" I was hoping to send all my spec's and hopes to you (The Master of Scrog & 1 plant Monsters) and also Capn. If I can get your knowledge behind my grow I believe I can make it through my very first grow without losing a single plant. (That's my hope).
Also, what do you use for every day cleaning of the trays etc....Thanks
Hey s1ingblade, BigirishDoode is asking some good question. I will be running Rockwool cubes (not chunks), I was thinking of hand feeding to waste in the veg tent & top feed to reservoir in flower tent, thoughts. Also I have written down the capn's feeding nutes schedule from when you two were in the grow off (that was fun to read).
Anythings possible, the awesome thing about this plant is it will give you the best it can regardless. Can a once a day watering work? It would but expect it to be on the edge of dehydration always ans forget or become physically unavailable and expect rapid probs like I experienced with the critical + in the 3/4 way point in the capn cook off. The run off hassle is why I use the flood trays. I would think if its drain to waste and you have a plastic tote or drip pan to catch the run off by the end of the 12 hour cycle it will be taken back by the plants root mass. Thing that would be on my mind and I eperienced it before is not being able to properly flush the plants there last week. It can be done and you can still smkoe or vape it it will just be harsher and possibly burn the throats of your patients and have them looking elsewhere. Keep me posted BFAM, the flood and drain system you setup would prob work wonders. 8 ounces per plant should be easily attainable.hey slingy can you hand water the cubes & airpot system? if so how would you do it like frequency would once a day work, my big hang up is the runoff recycling,my pots sit on the floor of the tents and would you think adding nutes to tea for every watering or something like tea ,food,tea,food i have 1 of the big airpots like yours but i have always found it a pain to water, i really wanna see how the t&j tea works in a hydro system its the only tea i know of that can go anerobic and still be safe to use! its so strong and pure it wont grow bad stuff,im thinking it may well be the best tea to keep hydro healthy, im just spitballin here i will likely just use my ebb & flow i built and ran for 3 months and never put plants in,but i have blue dream clones with hydro conditioned roots as long as 2 ft now, they are pearly white and no signs of brown i attribute that to the tea i added a half cup of undiluted at the beginning of the clone cycle and now had to add some grow(dogget&simpson#2) nutes they were getting so hungry. cool vid the grow shack is lookin tits bfam
Labor of love s1ingblade, my setup would be close to what you have in the video, tent 5'X10'X6.5' high (flower) 5'X5' tent for 2 mothers and clones/veg. I see you have four plants on one tray 4'X4'?, what size reservoir are you using per 4 plants?, it looks like you are feeding & drain back to the reservoir (now I understand why you can't clean all the time) with just holes made for flood & drain, I was thinking of using a 5 gal bucket with a pot inside (top feed, drain out the bottom by a hose back to the reservoir (keeps tray clean), your thoughts please. As always s1ingblade looking absolutely "BADASS"
Thanks alot, im enjoying the heck out of all this and all ya'll alot. The only reason I am not using the halos is there too big, Ill save em for the upcoming greenhouse project. I am getting ready to order 9" hydro halos and will use them on all my plants. I am actually sick of the little drippers, they work well enough to keep em going when I am gone but it might be holding my plants back from shining at there potential.
Come on bfam we can figure it out. Lets get some use out of the airpot. Prop the sucker up on three bricks and run a l drain line out of the tent and into a bucket in a low spot. Ill help with the setup and ill even donate some nutes. Easy stuff once the light bulb goes off.
