4 Strains: 630W LEC CMH

I don't know about inexpensive, but my plan is to get a macro lense for our DSLR camera. If you are getting amber trichs already, i would start flushing i would think, but I am hardly an expert.
I'll keep a close eye on them, now that I've witnessed the change starting. This is my 1st. full grow in coco, and it's by far my best inside grow, and I don't want to do anything to hastily !!

I would rather flush too soon than flush too late, just my thoughts on it. You want all that work to end up with top quality product at the end and not have the taste effected by an incomplete flush i would imagine.
Well, my belief is that whatever is in the bud now, will be in the buds after the flush. I think you can reduce the chemical content of the plant, by not over feeding for 7 weeks & then expect the plant to somehow purge all that shit in the last week. I will start reducing the ppm of feed by 200, every two days, till 0, then tap water for a week or longer. I water to 50% runoff, and then just water once a day, with none or very little runoff, till harvest. This is how Cultivator taught me, and he's one of the best growing in coco coir. Thanks Cult. !! 5
How do I know how much this light is costing me in yield, by finishing a week early ? I have nothing to compare it to ?

6 weeks old

And I must say, these colas are getting fat, but I can't swear the back building is responsible for it, as this period is when they naturally swell.

Beautiful buds man
Thank you !! I'm loving the coco. Lots more work, lot more nutes, but in the end, I think It's gonna be worth it, yield wise. I will stop over and check out your babies soon. I'm hoping you nail the organic thing. The nutes I'm using now, are advertised as the closest to organic as possible, but has some chemicals. And doesn't give your end product that good organic taste ? i love organics, but the smell of a tub of 12 gal. of bat shit tea brewing, is disgusting !! Ha !! Probably going to start flush, in 3-4 days. About 10 % amber at the moment. Bubba's gift is starting to purple up nicely. in another week, even the leaves will change to purple. Dynamite smoke !!

Just remember I started showing amber but it stopped. Bet you have at least 3 weeks left.
I will take that bet. But actually, this is only one week early, and they advertise this light to finish a week early. So I'll probably start flush in 2-3 days. Then at least one week water only. That'll put me at about 55-56 days. All's good, unless my yield suffers, the scale will tell the tale, anything less than a lb. & I'll be disappointed. This light is supposed to replace a 1000w hps, and I know dam well I'd get at least 1 lb. with a 1000w. I like amber weed, makes me sleep like a baby !!
I cut 9 clones off the critical +, og kush, and the two cheese. Waiting for the bags to fill with roots, before flip . They will replace the ones being harvested, in the lec tent. And that'll be last grow inside, till about the last of October . and I'll probably wind up running the room air for the last part of that grow, last of may, early june, can get hot around here . I'm looking for a new outside grow spot. I'm too old and out of shape to go Gorilla !! Don't forget to burp them jars ?

I make sure the jars are opened every day. Every time I open the jars they got the hay smell. I let them open for a bit and the widow smell returns. Taking them out of the jars and onto a big plate to spread them out too so the bottom doesn't compact and stick together. No mold for me please. Ive only done this once but I'm doing it again now since I'm off work until Monday. How long is to be expected until the hay smell stops? Nobody likes that.

Usually a week or so. A cherry pie I harvested smelled super sweet but took 3 weeks for that sweet smell to come back. I believe it was because I put them in the jars too early.

Looking nice slow. :thumb:

You are doing the right thing, with the taking it out of the jar and put it right back in. it shouldn't need to lay out. If it does, then get a brown paper bag and put it in there and burp the bag a couple time a day, till it's time to go to back into the jars. Put your hygrometer in the bag, and when the rh gets to about 65-70, jar it. The thing to remember is don't let it go below 60% or you'll never get it back. The 8 gram boveda paks work very well at maintaining your rh, but will not bring it up if you let it get to far below 62%. And about two weeks of burping the jars, and that hay smell will be gone, unless it's already over dried . i got some now that I've been burping for over 30 days, and it get's more mellow, every passing day. What does your hygrometer read inside the jar, after about 12 hrs ? And If you have to put it in paper bag, don't go to work or leave it without a check for more than 3-4 hrs, It's so easy to over dry it !! Don't you mess up the widow, neighbor !!
By the way, the amber tricomes are not getting any more amber than last week, so I started reducing the ppm of feed tonight. Still giving them 400ppm, now I've got to decide when to go to straight water. Pics from tonight. Day 44 bloom.

Coco def takes more time and resources but I wouldn't go back to soil. I love coco too much! I really hope the organics work out for me too. It's a lot more work but I kinda of like it. I feel more in tune with my plants. I'm really happy this is just a trial run because one plant is showing some signs of K def. It's getting worse and worse because the amendments take a bit to break down. I'll just make sure to keep on checking ppm and ph weekly when I put the clones in coco. I really hope I get it down enough that my 4 clones run smoothly.

I've been making a tea with worm castings, molasses and alfalfa meal. No smell at all and I'm brewing it in a closet. When I open the bucket it smells like earth. I read that it requires a big pump to keep the tea properly aerated. That if there is not enough air for your size bucket the tea will go anaerobic and start to throw a foul odor. Maybe try making the tea once more in a 2 gal bucket. If it doesn't smell then you know your other stuff turned anaerobic. For big amounts of tea like you were making I think they recommended a vortex brewer or something. It makes a vortex with the water so it's constantly turning and being aerated.

Gorgeous buds sp! Can't wait for harvest day!

I had a big pump and it worked overtime, but the Earth Juice bloom, is foul right out of the bottle, and there's nothing that can be done to eliminate it. But, It's great stuff !! I got about 14 ozs. in a 4x4, so not complaining, too much !! That was right after you grew that lb. of GSCs . And in soil mix. I do not miss soil mixes !! but it may be the only way to get that organic taste ? What did you use to treat the K def. ??

Oh I see I've never tried the earth juice. I can't imagine the smell but since I grow in my room I need to keep the stank down to a minimum. 14oz is great! I think your going to go over a pound this grow. I hope you get over a pound!

For the low K I added soil amendments and just top dressed them. I will do this much sooner with the clones as it takes time for them to break down. Let's see I have sea bird guano with 11P I will add when I see some buds.

I top dressed fish bone meal, alfalfa meal, kelp meal, leingbeinite K22, and my tea has ewc, molasses, plus some of those amendments.

So much for an inexpensive organic grow !! LOL !! All I used was the Earth Juice bloom, molasses, bat shit, Fox farm big bloom, and I was top dressing with 'down to earth brand' 4-6-2 all purpose, all organic. With organics, I figure whatever I feed today, will not benifit the plant for a good 10-14 days. I went to school on that one, and if i had to do another organic grow, I'd want it in a room that I don't go in, except to service the plants.
Pics on Day 45 are pleasing to my eyes !! They got fed 500ppm for last two days, starting tomorrow 300ppm for a couple days. That'll bring me up to the start of week # 8 & plain tap (130ppm ph 6.0) water for 7 to 10 days. This is the time in a grow when I start getting excited !! I'm hoping for some more swell, but we'll see !! And if I followed the fertilizer mfgs. feed schedule, I'd be feeding at about 12-1300ppm for another two weeks. Even my local hydro store advises to do what the schedule says,' so I say to him, that's because you sell it. Truth is, some of the best weed I ever grew was with composted cow shit and good native dirt. I've lost my outside grow spot !! And now I got all these plants, planning to go outside about June 1st.. Too old and run down to go gorilla style !!
