2nd Inside Grow

Since they are in the Ground, and have no Lips to lean on, the PVC should work Great! I would have done it the exact same Way, BTW, I like the way You used a Cinder Block, I believe it is, to weight the other end down. This kept my Plants at a Manageable Level, till Harvest Time. I have no Name for this way of tying the Plant Down, it just came to Me after some Thought for a few Days. Improvisation is what I like to call it! Well miwa, I hope You like this way of Growing:blushsmile:. I would not Steer You wrong, I Promise:thumb:! SINCERELY, JAMESTHEGREEN.

the only thing i would be careful of is the plant and the ties cutting into each other as its not just the end of the plant growing, the stem is also growing, thats why when you do lst its best to undo the lst every few days and leave it off for 24 hours so the plant can fall back into the right place then retie the ties, if you left the lst in place all the time then the plant would end up pulling on those parts and they would get cut off, i can see the tube might solve this as the ties can move along it as the plant grows as long as the ties are left loose enough for the plant to grow as normal.

great idea though, its something i would do if i had an outdoor grow area, its a sort of guided lst, a sort of pvc lst tube, great idea, im sure we will see more of these as people start to see how your doing it mate, it would certainly make sure the plant gets all the light all of the time

It can be did with inside grows...modify a straight pipe with different angle elbows...i think you are right about the ties moving along the pole..we will watch for that as well...:thumb:

its a great idea by the looks of it and jtgt could be a new way of growing, it would give many tops like you say and as it arcs it would take up less space but still allow the plant to grow long enough to have many bud sites, you might be on to something, only time will tell

Yeah, and as far as having to remove the Zip- Ties as the Stem Thickens, is no problem at all. As the Plant gets Older, and it Cork Screws around the Pole, The Stem Acclimates to Growing this Way, and after awhile You really do not need the Zip Ties anymore, as the Plant has been Trained to Grow this way, and will stay wrapped around the Pole on it's own. I am really Stoked to Have been able to Share this way of Growing with You Guys. I think miwa will be Happy with the Results:thumb:. It really keeps the Height down, and the Bushiness up, all the arms get to be Tops. I have only done this with Sativas and Hybrids. A lot of Kushes, Indicas, and other Short Statured Plants, I have not done this with, as there was no need. I mean the tallest Kush Plant I have ever Grown was maybe 9-10ft, it was a Lowland Kush, and I could have grown it this way probably. But excuse Me I am Rambling on about stuff no one cares about. If it works for Your Grow, DO IT! As far as what to call it, I guess I'll/HAVE left that up to YOU! JTGT sounds awesome:bigblush: I am Honored! SINCERELY, JAMESTHEGREEN.

It seems to me it would be good for short plants too...with this exposing more bud sites the yield should increase...and hey...whos thinking rambling..i care about everything said and unsaid on this site...theres info in rambling...just need to know how to pick up on it...:thumb:

it would work well with in door grows as well, it would work like a scrog without taking up as much room as a scrog, or lst, id says its inbetween lst and a scrog, i might even give it a try next time round

Hey Miwa Sorry to hear about the splits in the palnts. I had that happen with my A-Haze I'm doing that Scrog with. I ended up using velcro tape then some twist ties to hold it tight over the velcro. Worked great. I know acouple years back I had a 12' plant that split at the spot I first topped it out at. I mean like 5" above the ground. I ended up using some old panty hose to fix it. I just wrapped it up tight and they held great. GL with them mites. I did find another spray you can use up till the day of harvest. Or least they claim it works, called Mighty Wash. They also have a PM Wash for PM. NPK Industries I hope you get a handel on them Mites. GL and Keepem Green

I have had that happen before as well Norcaliwood, I just used DUCT TAPE. It was so close to Harvest, and Top Heavy, that it split where I topped it as well, after an exceptionally windy Day. These Plants are like Super-Heroes, they can sustain so much Damage, yet still Thrive!!! It is pretty unbelievable:trance:! Talk about the will to LIVE:thumb:! SINCERELY, JAMESTHEGREEN.

James, what's up with the Ortho Defense use? Did I miss something? Hey have you ever been to Jungle Jim's grocery store near Cincinnatti, it's the world's largest grocery store with foods from numerous countries, and excotic foods, like ostrich eggs. :peace:

I got a gallon from Home of de pot or 15 bucks. Suppose to kill just about all bugs (spider mites were specifically listed). I have however seen some fungus gnats still flying around but they aren't getting any worse either. I read on someones journal (I wish I knew who.... dang terrible memory) that they used it with success. It is kid and pet safe as well!

Nope, I have never even heard of it..... I'm a couple miles north of that!!!!

ok...what the hell is this..not my idea...but might work...no LST...No topping...no FIM...just wrap plant and side shoots around pole and hold in place with zip ties...wrap over and under pole...
