2046 : Chimp vs. Sativa

Thanks, KushMeister. I'm about 2 years into it now. I do okay, but I think the changes in my units are the more impressive thing here. Once you get those basic conditions tweaked out, things take off. You'll see how unimpressive this chimp is by the time the Arjan's Ultra Haze #1 is done ridiculing me in front of God and everybody.....

I'll give it a little food today. I put the Pre-'98 BX2 in there for a few days; it looks cool and I want to color it up a bit more before I chop.

This Haze handled all nutes at 1/2 strength and all soil additives at full the last time, so Ima bump it a little. I'll do 9 ml Iguana Bloom, 4 ml Nirvana, and full strength with the Sensi-Cal Bloom, Sensi-Zym, Liquid CarboLoad, Organic B-1, F-1 and H-2. I need to feed the Satori grow soon and give the soil microbes I put in some molasses.

Since I got a little weed to mess with I'm thinking of flavoring one or two of these plants I'm about to chop. My thoughts were about a litre of water and 1 tsp. of one of the following per plant (depending on which I choose to do it to):

Black strap molasses - 2046
Organic Blue Agave nectar - Free Tibet
Honey - Pre-'98 Bubba BX2

Or 2 tsp. Pure Cane Sugar extract - Boulder Bubblegum

Any thoughts on this anybody? Ever tried it or heard the yays and nays of it? Maybe the burnt sugars make it more carcinogenic to inhale? Better check it out before I put my Willy Wonka suit on and start traipsing through the grow room.....

I use it every 3 weeks when I add mycorrhizae, but I'm not sure it makes a difference in the taste. I know the Cheese strains I ran a while ago had a sweet taste and I used it all the way through the grow. The Big Buddha Cheese in that same grow didn't, though. The BB smells like Juicy Fruit so maybe I'll sweeten that one up. I was thinking a few times about using it on my berry plants along with epsom salts to super sweeten the berries then using the berries to flavor the last watering. I've got a Blueberry seed for my blueberry bush, Raspberry Cough for the raspberry bush; Hell I'll grow some strawberries and do my Arjan's Strawberry Haze up with it.....

Some of the newer growth is coming in a little pale so I'll give it a half (or less) dose of nutes today.

And a few Pre-'98 Bubba BX2 shots (I've got two GDP clones that are starting to purple up nice too).

It looks like it to me too, JBC420. That Haze is a little light-bleached, which led to some grow room work on my part. Sorry it's been so long since an update, but I've been really busy with tweaks and rearrangements, not to mention the work for a living stuff. I'll post a list of updates later. First of all, the 2046, Pre-'98 Bubba BX2, Boulder Bubblegum, and Free Tibet all got the chop and are drying. I've got a few Grand Daddy Purple clones to harvest in the next day or so, and an Ice clone in a week or two. Here is a grow summary:

Medical Seeds - 2046
101 days from seed to chop; no mercy (12/12)
1st month - 4" peat pot w/Miracle Gro Seed Starter Mix
2nd month to finish - 2 gallon plastic pot w/SSM#8
Advanced Nutrients Iguana line with all organic additives @ full strength
(switched from grow to bloom nutes after 7-1/2 weeks)
Finished off with 2 day dark period

Here's a pic from a few days ago of the AUH1, along with a few pics of one of the Grand Daddy Purple clones I finished out under the 600 watt HPS (and a clone I took of the AUH1).

I switched this unit to a 400 watt HPS last night because of the heat and light stress issues I'm having. The closet is just too narrow and there is a zone in the area where the bulb is at that gets too much light and heat stress. With the switch and the fan @ 100% running speed I have 75 degrees F, so when I change it to a 4" inline fan (from the 6" I have now) I will have the control I need. I moved the 600 watt HPS into the Satori grow and @ full fan speed there I have 83.7 degrees F so I will need to switch that unit to the 6" I am taking out. I'll be okay for now; Satori can take heat according to the breeder and that's not much; about right for the CO2 bag I have in there. I switched unit 2 to a 250 watt MH and up to 16/8, then moved my Chemdawg D BX 3 grow into it. I moved the Golden Tiger clones in with the Satori grow and the Cheese clones into unit 1 under the 200 watt full spectrum CFL @ 12/12. I may change the 200 watt CFL to a red spectrum, possibly a 300 watt one. When I post more pics later of the AUH1 I'll post a more detailed description of my 4 units so it won't be so confusing. My next grow is going to be:

1 - White Urkel (fem)
1 - Original White Widow IBL (fem)
1 - OG Kush : Ghost Cut (fem)
3 - Phantom Cookies (reg)
1 - Blueberry (fem)

Okay so here's how I worked everything out.

Unit 1 - converted Superlocker w/Feliz 300 watt red spectrum mogul base CFL running @ 12/12 (I have the Cheese clones in it now and will move my CDDBX3 parents into it later).

Unit 2 - 2' x 3' closet w/250 or 400 watt digital Lumatek ballast and 4" inline 170 cfm fan running @ 16/8 (I have a 250 watt MH conversion bulb in for the CDDBX3 veg period now).

Unit 3 - 2' x 3-1/2' closet w/600 watt dimmable Phantom ballast and will have a 6" inline 424 cfm fan running @ 12/12 (the above 4" is in the unit now, and as soon as this Satori grow is finished I'll switch it).

Unit 4 - 1-2/3' x 4' closet w/same 250 or 400 Lumatek and 6" inline fan above running @ 12/12 (I'll finish this AUH1 and everything else out in here then move the remaining CDDBX2 females in to finish out).

hey chimp, did you need or did you up the PK on your sativas? reason I ask is I think I have a p defficeincy but only on my 2046 my other plants look happy but not the 2046. I started useing some BPN nutes this grow so IDK always used FF before this I know you said before that you had to cut down on the Nitrogen with your sativas

I kept mine on a normal nute schedule and kept the soil on the dry side. I posted some info on your thread; hope it helps.
