2020 Vision

I'm not saying these precautions are unnecessary at all, I've just never experienced anything like this. Coronavirus layoffs have already started. This is going to have long lasting repercussions that some won't recover from.

Yeah, I'm starting to get a little pissed off.

I just read an article on South Korea, where they've done 100,000 tests. Once we get the results of full random testing, we'll find that the death rate isn't that frightening. In South Korea, they found the death rate of everyone showing positive is about 4 times higher than seasonal flu. 4 times.

But for the first time in over a century, we're trying to quarantine? :hmmmm:

My mother in law was in skilled nursing for 3 years and they routinely had flu run through the facility - scary. I wish the best for your mother, Otter. :Namaste:

I've worked in nursing homes, and every year we would have some pass on with the flu. They're the most vulnerable group of people in the population. I remember some cna's didn't wash between rooms, but it didn't seem to cause any problems. But, we were taught to.
We live now without going out in public much. Safer for us. I also think the extent of this thing isn't as powerful as the media is making it out to be. Could be my famous last words, lol!! Cheers

They just announced all public schools to be closed until April 5th. Ontario .
Just waiting for them to close the universities in my city. University of Waterloo....Wilfred L. University and multiple colleges in the area...yikes.
Wondering if they will send us all home tomorrow and tell us to file for UI or just send us home still on the payroll....lottsa questions. Hopefully answers tomorrow....

Local dollar store had toilet paper so we keep in it clean at least.

public schools in my state are closing starting Monday for 2 weeks and then reassess.

Economy is gonna suffer it seems with all the closing of big events, sports, travel, limited medical abilities if things get worse, stock market crashing.....but those things will recover. Just hope the loss of life is minimal. Wish I had a big chunk of extra cash.....might be an opportune time to buy some stocks. Guarantee that’s what the big corporations are gonna do. Big bank take little bank!!

In Ohio they are closing schools for at least two weeks. They are telling people to stay in and away from and crowded places. We had tickets to a concert tonight and decided to not go. I am going to have the wife's car tomorrow so I am heading to the store for a few things we will need to weather things out. I am sure it is going to get Much worse so better to be prepared then not

hehe...I got a trifecta going on...male...closer to 70 than sixty...smoker...compromised immune system...to be honest, I have some concerns, upon returning home in a few weeks, as a positive case has been confirmed, and being treated...but I refuse to buy into a panic!...
...the cancellation of major events, may be disheartening, but in the grand scheme of things, could be crucial in containing a North American infection, greater than models show...
...also, what bothers me in this situation, is that there are vast number's who can't afford to take 2 day's off work, let alone 2 weeks or more...the rhetoric from the white house boggles the mind!?? ..,
...I'm hoping that all my internet friends, here at the Mag and beyond, stay healthy and come thru' this global event, unscathed...Take Care people!...cheerz... :Namaste: ...h00k...:hookah:...
