2020 Vision

Gorilla Bop:
Full blown transplant drench tonight. Training continues. This one is really showing signs of fungus gnat damage in her leaves now. Mosquito dunks went into tonight’s feeding of all the girls. Also got some yellow sticky traps to catch the flyers. Fans are blowing. Tried the apple cider vinegar in a water bottle but never had any land in there before it all evaporated.

Have you been introduced to Safers Garden Dust? It's safe in LOS. Kills gnat maggots before they mature. Takse 2 weeks to get a hold but I find it my go to for gnat killing. If they still appear I apply it about every 30 days. Works for me.

Little bushy plants blah blah blah Chuck Taylors for the win!
I wonder if you’ll notice every time they make an appearance!! Lol

Ill have to look into this too. Right now I have enough water treated with the dunks to cover the 2-3 feedings. Hopefully that will take care of it.

Pretty quiet around these parts. Plants are just chugging along. I’ll be getting in the tent in a bit.

So I was just curious about how the Coronavirus is effecting any of you guys if at all. I work in a nursing home and we have closed the doors to all visitors. We also have to check in and get screened each day as soon as we get there. No confirmed cases in the area but we just aren’t trying to take any chances with our residents.

Thanks for the post Magoo. I was thinking about visiting a loved one in a nursing home and wondered how they are handling it. Makes sense to not allow visitors at the moment

Yeah, well things just got real today, didn't they?

There's been some talk over on conradino's journal - Italy's getting hit hard. Now we're canceling sports audiences in the USA, and closing travel from all of Europe ... *sigh*

This hasn't happened before - not in my lifetime. I'm not sure we're doing the right thing.

After my shopping trip today, I think some people will find themselves with a lifetime supply of toilet paper.

Frankly I don't get it, do you poop 1000 times a day if you contract Corona Virus?

I've been wondering since I first saw it happening. I could understand tuna or soup or rice, but ... toilet paper? :hmmmm:

I think it's only going to get worse. I mean did the NBA really need to cancel the rest of the season? That will just lead to more cancellations. I get cancelling crowds but games? I guess this won't go away until the economy has been obliterated right along with the virus. I've never experienced anything like this. Michigan State went to online classes only starting yesterday. Michigan is trying to figure out how to do the same except they don't have online classes for under graduates. The sports radio station was saying there's a real possibility the NCAA may cancel the tournament. This is just craziness.

Well nba has players that have tested positive for the virus so with that they should cancel the next few weeks and because some arenas are used for other sports (hockey) they should also cancel in my opinion. Everyone wants to high five players and it's their popularity and travel schedule that could be a big virus spreader. Why not take that out of the equation?

Same here Magoo, sadly my mom is going in one today and it's heart wrenching to say the least. A PT stay to maybe strengthen her up could lead to never seeing her again. She is very old and failing but still it's killing us to think that. Strange and nasty times ahead.

I fully support the limitations on nursing homes since that is the most at risk population. We gotta protect them the best we can. Hopefully this isnt drawn out over a real long period of time. Hopefully people say we over reacted some day. But if that’s the case who’s to say that it wasn’t the reaction that prevented it from being far worse. I think we as a nation and as a world are seeing some things we need to fix moving forward regardless of how this thing turns out.
Funniest toilet paper meme I’ve seen so far had Tony Montana sitting at his desk and instead of cocaine in a pile on the desk there was rolls of toilet paper with the caption “When you have the money and the power!” Had to laugh at that one. But seriously....if I can’t wipe my ass there’s gonna be a problem. Lol

I'm not saying these precautions are unnecessary at all, I've just never experienced anything like this. Coronavirus layoffs have already started. This is going to have long lasting repercussions that some won't recover from.

I noticed I had 2 rolls at the house, so I picked up a 4 pack for the same reasons.
But seriously who needs 12 twenty four packs?
