2020 Vision

My roots coming out of my solo cups are always white, but the outside ones in the black 1 gallon plastic pots are brown from the sun. I think I'm going to order some more 1 gallon tan Geopots...

Just regurgitating stuff I've read here shed. I read thicker white roots are not what we want, its the finer darker or brownish roots were looking for. Maybe that was something specific to docs kit but am thinking it was in general. I think we sometimes worry about little things like this more than we need to because we all strive to grow the best plants possible.....

Indiana Bubblegum got her new pot tonight. Crinklepuss V2.0

I topped the PuTang tonight. Topped above the 8th node. So right now she has nodes 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. May remove the lowest one. Those leaves are pretty yellow still. I’ll give her a few days before I decide for sure. Hit all the girls with a small amount of destress foliar.

In my experience I like fuzzy white roots the best. They seem to move and grow the fastest. I get roots looking like yours did in the solo cup there Magoo all the time though. I found it is usually with soil that is getting slightly water logged. It is an easy remedy. I like to sqeeze the cup to break up the soil and make it loose. Gets better air circulation. Then let it get really dry before watering. Or transplant like you did and it gets mixed in with drier soil. The uppotting hopefully helps. A fan blowing good circulation air to keep the soil drying out faster helps also. I know this is probably not the right or wrong answer, just things I noticed with my plants over the years. :passitleft:

Always appreciated brother! I don’t have a fan in the tent. Just one extracting from the top and a small can fan pulling out the top side. Might put one in the bottom just to keep everything moving a bit better.

For sure. Fans blowing on plants in veg will actually strengthen the stems also. So serves a few good purposes.

Yeah. I usually have small fans blowing but I’m usually vegging in the other tent. Lol. That’s where they are all hooked up

It makes the wives crazy, too.:rolleyes::straightface: .
Don’t have one of them yet! Lol. But one on the way. And I already know I’ll have to stop growing then. Unless it’s legal. Too many little ones running around. I’ll probably still do some outdoor stuff though. Don’t think I can completely stop.

UPDATE

Got 60 gallons of soil prepped for second run. The cook is on!!

Putang
She is looking much better. I think she has taken to her new soil quite well. Yellowing in the lowers probably won’t go away but the growth from those nodes is looking good so far. Liking the spacing and symmetry of this girl!

GG4 x Boptang
This girl has had a nice little growth spurt as well. I went ahead and removed the lowest node on her tonight and topped her. She will have 6 main branches. Here are before and after pics.

Pre 98 Bubba Kush
This girl is taking her sweet ass time. But I just have a feeling she is gonna be amazing by the time it’s all said and done. She will be grown with the classic quadline! Not enough growth up top to top her yet though.

Indiana Bubblegum
The problem child! She’s a funky grower for sure. Almost entered her in plant of the month! Thoughts?
she had one node that didn’t grow a fan leaf on one side. Tried to get a pic of it. But then the next node has fans...:hmmmm:

All the girls got a light misting of brix tonight. They will get that every Sunday from here on out.
