Update with pics today. I am getting ready to go to flower by Sunday at the latest. The plants in the soon-to-be flower room are growing about an inch a day and are now at 7" to 10" tall. When the shortest is 10", I will go to 12/12.
I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS!!! It feels like I've been at this quite awhile and it will sure be good to actually send some to flower!!! I love watchin' em grow, but I'm MORE than ready to stare at BUDS!!!
To start, here is a group image of the plants I am preparing to send to flower by Sunday. The 5 plants I strongly feel are female are in 5 gal. buckets and I marked their initials on the image. Three White Widows, one LD, and one Thai Tanic.
Then a closer image of the 5 plants I believe have shown to be female with pre-flowers. Keep in mind I could be wrong! But on these, I'm pretty sure.
White Widow 3 and 4 from the top...
Then White Widow 2 from the top...
Then LD3 (Miss Stinky! - I WILL be cloning for sure!)...
And the fifth is Thai Tanic 1 from the top...
Below is a group shot of the plants still in 1 gal pots cuz I can't yet determine their sex. These include:
(2) G13 Haze
(5) Medijuana
(1) Blueberry
From the pic above:
- The G13 Haze is the largest with the most bud sights. I suspect one is a male and the other is my last hope for a female G13 Haze but it hasn't shown me anything yet for pre-flowers.
- Four of the Medijuana have been LST'd and have approximately 5 to 7 possible bud sights (not as filled out as the girls above). M10 was not LST'd at all. It was the plant I ripped the roots when I transplanted and it made a real nice comeback once it recovered.
- And I suspect the Blueberry may be male just cuz of it's size. Anyway, I decided I can clone it if it's a female and I needed veg room area so I didn't want to waste veg area if it decides it's a male. It was as tall as the other shorter plants here.
In the first image of all plants preparing to flower, the suspected males are on the far end where you can only see the tops of them. Below is a pic of them as a group. We have one Utopia Haze, one G13 Haze, and one Thai Tanic...
Next is a group shot of the plants in the veg room...
Below is a closer image (with tags showing better) of the plants in one side of the veg room, including a mixture but all four of the AK-47 and both feminized LD (hope they are as stinky as the LD plant preparing to flower!). Don't know if you can see, but I started LST on two of the AK-47 and one of the feminized LD. You can also see the LST effects are coming along on Blueberry 2 (the top is not pictured).
Then we go to a closer shot of the plants on the other side of the veg room. Here, I marked the Super Nova Chronic and a couple of the feminized Cheese. You can see the Thai Tanic that was planted one month later has grown larger than the SN Chronic - but some of the Chronic are now looking much better and growing nicely now. I am not going to LST any of the Chronic which will allow me to see which plants are female and then choose the best looking to clone. The feminized Cheese are filling out nicely from the LST they have gotten. I will be releasing these in the next week and will then grow them tall enough to send to flower.
Okay... you can see the only feminized Cheese I did not mark (above in the bottom left corner. I had it fastened to the side of the container and since taking these pics earlier today,
I had a blonde moment and while rearranging to get the max light to the right plants... well I had the top of this Cheese girl fastened to the container box - NOT to the plant's pot (won't do that again!). I didn't *think* and pulled that plant out to move it to better light and EGADS - I PULLED THE TOP RIGHT OFF! Shit. So...
Now I have started 3 feminized Cheese clones. This is NOT the plant I would have taken clones from (smallest of the 3 Cheese girls), but I couldn't bring myself to just throw out the top of the plant no matter how small a clone it will be! Below, I picture 2 of the 3 clones I took. It broke in a real bad spot, so after taking this pic I had to cut it a bit lower, thus giving me the third clone. If nothing else, this will give me a try at cloning!!! And I was in such a hurry (PANIC!), I just used powder rooting compound and the soil I had handy to pot them. I didn't even think about the rockwool cubes that I had downstairs.
Live and learn I guess!
I have to get a number of "life" things done (my "honey do" list), so I have to go for today. Sure do wish the dang house would clean itself, the bills would pay themselves, and the groceries would just be in the cupboard without shopping for them - cuz I'd rather be here visiting other's journals and learnin'!!!
Take care to all!!!!
