Update for all strains here...
They are all in one gallon pots (transplanted over a week ago).
I would say veg started Aug 16th when the seeds were all popped - but I set them back greatly by overwatering from the start. Thus, Day 31 of veg today.
1000w MH light. Soil.
I estimate 21 nice plants at this point (3 females almost for sure cuz feminized) - plus 10 slower to recover. Of course, when I weed out the males, there won't be that many. I had said in the beginning that I would be happy with 10 to 15 females (and hopefully at least one of each strain), so I think I'm gonna be on track for this.
Possibly some, especially the Super Nova aka Chronic, had a hard time with the transplant to the one gallon pots. I was very careful and knew I hurt M10 (roots in soil broke away from rockwool - a goober on my part), but the rest all went well. However, all the SN Chronic, 2 White Widow, and M10 have been struggling since then while everything else is doing pretty good.
Now... on to pics. First will be three pics showing all plants - for anyone who doesn't care to look at each one individually in the veg stage. You will see they are growing at different stages - no surprise there with all I put them thru AND all the different strains.
Here's mostly the best group...
Then the next best group...
Then sick bay... where some are starting to recover and some may be a loss but I still haven't given up on them just yet (6 Super Nova Chronic, 2 White Widow, 1 Medijuana)...
Then I'm going to go thru each individual plant, with the exception of those in sick bay. I know veg time is not the most interesting pics, but I did find it real helpful to look at other's veg pics and I want to have a record of my own (so I'm putting them here for me mainly!) and pics are worth a thousand words. This also allows me to look at my babies when I am at work and I likka that!
Let's begin with the two I started LST on this last week. They had huge growth and are ahead of all others so I thought I'd try a little stress training to slow the upward growth and increase the end cola results. I have a feeling these two will be huge when finished.
The lone LD3 from the front (showing inner growth) and then from the side (showing the lean) after LST for 2 days and then releasing for 24 hours.
You will see where I now simply tied some main leaves out of the way so the inner growth gets more light.
Next is Utopia Haze, UH1 from the front (showing inner growth) and then from the side (showing the lean) after LST for 2 days and then releasing for 24 hours.
Again (but with UH1), you will see where I now simply tied some main leaves out of the way so the inner growth gets more light.
On to the other Utopia Haze. This one is not as quick at recovering/taking off as many others are, but I include it here cuz it completes the two Utopia Haze pics together here.
Now the G13 Haze. They are doing very nicely. Soon I'll be stressing them a bit to slow them down and increase lower growth on them too...
Then, I'm going to go to the Thai Tanic - nice recovery if ya remember what these looked like!
The the LADIES, feminized Cheese...
Then we'll move on to the Blueberry trips...
And the Medijuana. The medijuana has as many nodes grown as a number of the others, but there is literally only a tiny bit of space between them. I tried to picture this in M4 below - but photography is lacking! I will NOT be LSTing the Medijuana. They are single cola plants and I just want them to get as tall as they can by the time the rest are ready to change to 12/12.
An example of the side node distance...
And the Super Nova aka Chronic... they must need something special that I'm just not givin em cuz they are the worst looking of all. Six out of seven are in sick bay and the seventh (SN10 below) still doesn't look very good for color and lost a lot of leaves. Possibly they didn't liked the transplant but a couple are starting to recover - they just won't be very big when the others go to flower (may have to veg longer)...
And last but not least... the three best White Widows...
Wow that does take a bit. I had to take a few breaks! That's it for today. Love seeing the growth. Lets me know changing to flower WILL come... and hope for a harvest!!! Will see what I can do for cycled grows to continue thru the end of March, 2010. Should be interesting.
Oh - not done! I began setting up my separate veg room and I started four AK-47 (THE TENTH STRAIN HERE), four more Thai Tanic (will not be cloning this strain later), and two LD feminized (24% THC from Barney's). Here's the start on the future veg room...
Just what I needed - more plants!
Catch ya all later!
