1080w LED Inferno

Aside from your last grow what is different this time around? Just the higher heat issues and minor light leakage is that all?

this time their healthier maybe a little taller in hydro, different nutes, lolipoped more, way behind in flowering, higher temps, more wattage, and this time its 6 Hindu Skunks not like last time when it was 2 XJ-13's and 2 HS.

I ask because what could possibly preventing them from flowering? Is it possible its the strain just being stubborn? 3 weeks flowering and so signs just seems Odd as hell.

IDK? i am wondering whats going on also. maybe the heats doing it? or maybe since i got the clones at a med club maybe its a cutting from a different HS mom? i dont know but this is the 1st its taken this long to flower threw all of my grows. IDK with the heck is going on. kinda pissing me off because no i have to wait longer to get my meds.

I'm not sure if it's just my strain or what... But the two different methods I've used in the past for my passive hydro setups (hempy and a Luwasa 5in pot w/hydroton) have both been 7 to 10 days behind during flowering...

Up until now I thought it was just my strain.. But I'm beginning to think it's the passive hydro method in general.. Not sure though..

that could be? SS is having a delay in his flowering to and if you are/were then that 3 of us and what do we have in common? Hempy/passive hydro. i was thinking that also. as long as my girls flower then i am happy if it goes to week 4 with no flowering then i am going to trip.

I'd vote no, but I'm a believer in mimicking nature when indoors. With the exception of solar eclipses this is unnatural.

I'll stand corrected if there's any science to back up this idea ;)

nature has been refined for a long-assed time ;), but that refinement has been within the boundaries of cycles that we, unlike nature, are able to screw with.

nature's always a good bet though, lol

Positive you got all of the light-leaks taken care of?

Passive hydro has been around for thousands of years and I've not seen any mention that it slows flowering.

I've never tried the passive thing for cannabis, only for flowers and houseplants years ago in wick systems. Maybe try adding more O2 to the roots in a form that they can use? Like I mentioned to Setting Sun, you're not giving them too much nitrogen by chance, are you?

Flowering IS affected by temperature and can be delayed by high temperatures. The Indian mango production is expected to be WAY down this year because their unusually high temperatures delayed flowering. And there is this study (kind of interesting):
Effects of Interactions Between Low and High Temperature Treatments on Flowering of Spring Rape ( Brassica napus var. annua ) | Annals of Botany | Oxford Academic

I don't know how much of an affect it has where cannabis is concerned. But there almost certainly is some and it would probably be worse with strains that didn't originate in (or become naturalized to) a high-temperature environment. We try so hard to keep the temperatures down that most grows are not in high-heat unless there is supplemental CO2 and higher absolute humidity (which would all work together in a sort of synergistic relationship instead of detrimentally). Years back when I had my own battle with high heat I was using a different mother (from seed) each grow so I wouldn't have had a way of easily seeing if it made a difference like someone who's using clones from the same mother - where you'd expect the flowering times to be the same - in multiple grows would.

all light leeks are sealed and Nitrogen shouldn't be too high because the ratio of the maxibloom i am using should be close to the Lucas Formula and thats the main idea of Lucas is lower nitrogen. the passive thing i know noting about expect for it works and works good.

the only thing i cant think of is that last grow i did lucas form from the start and maybe the lower N from the start was able to kick them into flowering faster then normal? or it could just be the heat? $hit IDK its driving me mad seeing such healthy plants not flowering

Are you using any aditives with the maxi.My first thought on your late flowering problems were high temps and Nitrogen.IDK as I have never used maxi and the lucas formula.Did you try putting ice cubes on your median and lower your feeding ec.:peace:

i was using H2O2, Silica, and green fuse with my Maxibloom. Now i am just giving then the maxibloom

haven't done the ice cube then yet.

I read that it is good to give them some darkness before switching to flower. Jorge Cerventes MJ bible. But in your case it is prob to late and would just confuse and stress them. I think it is the strain, did you get these as clones or grow them from seed? Sorry too lazy and tired to figure it out lolz

Hehe....you got me bugging. You and I have the same heat issues. I flip to flower in 6 days. If I run into the same delay, it could point to heat being the major factor. Granted we have different strains and maybe HS is more susceptible to heat than the strains I have, but if I do have a delay in flower it could be an indicator.

Im with this guy.^^^

Theyre looking real nice though Irish, despite not showing any signs (wierd?)
I was also gonna ask if you noticed plants seem to be more concentrated with growing new/more heads/internodes, and the leaves take a back seat. Basically I was wondering if you have noticed smaller leaf sizes with more branching after switching to these GLH LED lights. Just curious from one grower to another. Keep up the good work irish.
