1080w LED Inferno

@Irishboy so out of all the leds you tested would you say the growledhydro ones are the best you tested? I'm building a grow cab of this size 36" H x 18" D x 26" W and was wanting to get a 120w led i seen that company has the Spectra LED 120 for 389.99 think I should get it? I was only wanting to grow like 3 low ryders or easy ryders and if anyone else who reads this has that light i would like to hear your opinions thanks

Hey Jackel420. If your doing "Autos" check out Setting Sun's Lowrider/LED thread. His girls are jammin!

Wow Irishboy, I had no idea that tiny amount of "light pollution" would throw such a hard curve ball. Since I'm about to embark on my 1st indoor flowering, your warning has me reversing my strategy. Tanks.

that is true i for got about the black light.:goodjob: ill give them a week and see how they look, if still lagging then ill have to change things up

ok, admitting ignorance here....what does the black light do please? thank you, lavendar

Black incandescent light bulbs is what I'm referring to. They give off only Far Red light. A quick shot of Far Red just as the lights go out helps kick the girls into high gear.. The problem with black inc light bulbs (as a far red source) is they are HOT as hell ...So 15 min to 1/2 hour is all I would recommend..

Far Red is one of Mother Natures best tricks... Day time and Night time..
It's exactly how our favorite girls can flower outdoors (in some parts of the world) with aprox 14 hours of light and 10 hours of darkness...

Try the 14/10 schedule indoors without the Far Red spectrum at night time and you get no flowers, just pre-flowers and that's if it's a mostly indica strain..

Amazing!! Traditionally Cannabis having 14 hours of light will not flower, however using far Red Light in order to flower w/ a 14/10 schedule is nothing short of amazing. Thats some great info there Dogsnova :bravo::bravo: I just may have to try that one. Great Work :thanks:

Hey dog Im fascinated with this black incandescent light bulb concept. It would be so cheap to try I dont see why not??? My main question is how much do you need as far as power goes. A 15w bulb, a 50w bulb, a 75w bulb. Im covering a 4x4 tent so I couldnt imagine a whole lot. I could really use a faster flower period for sure. Is this something you have tried? If so what kind of results have you achieved? Does it knock of days, or weeks or what? Super cool man, I saw you talking about this before a while back. +rep. :bongrip:

Butcher, if you can run a small amount of Far Red led's (730nm) only during your entire 10 hours of darkness, then yes you could make that 14/10 schedule work indoors.. Using black lights to make the 14/10 schedule work indoors is way toooooo much heat for my liking...

Unfortunately how much wattage of Far Red to run during the girls dark time is trial and error. Sorry... I even put my black lights on a dimmer switch for some extra versatility..

This is also important......... Far Red causes extra stretching during the first two to three weeks of flowering so please use at your own risk..

Trust me folks Mother Nature is one smart lady

Led Freak..... No I have not ran the 14/10 schedule indoors.. The most I can put up with using inc black lights indoors and all their heat is a 13/11 schedule... Outdoors my indica girls start to flower on a 14/10 schedule (August 15th) and end on aprox a 12.75/11.25 schedule (Oct 15th) every year in my neck of the woods..

Believe it or not I use clear inc's during my (day time) for my Far Red speed indoors. This particular grow area is doing a standard 12/12 schedule, it's a lot easer for that setup... It knocks about 10 days off the flowering time of my strain... Again just like everything else it's strain dependant..

hey irish just had a quick question for ya. in my appartment complex the whole electric went out. and my lights where off for about 1hr. do i have to start flowering now or will it not mess up things to bad, and keep on with the veg?

na your good. 1 hr isnt nothing crazy like a few days. it happens to everyone at some point and time. ive had longer and everything was fine.

things are starting to get started from the looks of things, its just way behind from where they should be comparied to my last grow. but i have all the light leeks sealed up so things should be good to go now.

IMO the only way to add CO2 is the real way tanks or generators. all others are a waist of time IMO.

thats good glad to hear, i finally just bought a exhaust fan today and got it put in my room, a little louder than i thought, but def looks good now and pretty much complete except my damn fan burnt out on me so i gotta get a new one. what is the heat like that comes off your 300 lights? 180 glh is a lot hotter than the one my buddy has, a 90.

so far, what are you liking better with the leds, hydro or soil? would u say , stronger stem, more bushy, healthier, bigger, tighter nodes, more bud sights?what?

its hard to say as of now, but my hydro plants seem to be allot more healthy then my past soil grows, and allot fast veg growth, but seems my last plants flowered allot quicker, but dosent mean it was the medium. put it this way i will be doing hydro from now on. its hard to say about the thicker stems and bushy because i am adding Silica this time as it encourages all of those things. so its hard to say. both mediums do great though my old sun shine#4 mix and the SS#4 with perlite. the hempy buckets are pretty straight forward and hard to mess things up. and i would say i have more bud sites this round. Hempy is worth giving a try

i am not sure on the temp of one of my 300's they have always been on together.

kinda pissed right now, just spent allot of time taking some real good pics and went to upload them and my memory card stopped working. that sucks.lol. they were some good pic to. ill have to pick up a new one for some pics for you guys. they girls look like their trying to push some hairs out now, i raised the lights up, i was thinking of keeping them higher until flowering really kicks in then lower it down on them. allot of successful led grows ive seen always had the light higher at the beginning then lowered at the mid to end. same as i did last grow, but i forgot this grow and had things closer for a min around 12" not its back up to around 17-18" to see how things work? the bad thing is now my flowering weeks are off so now i have to figure things out for myself on when to add certain bloom enhancers instead of just going by the weeks. but at least i learned my lesson this grow and will always make sure i have insulated ducting to stop light leeks
