1080w LED Inferno

I like the Darkness theory. All my grows have been outdoors so I never had that option, but it only makes sense. I'm also a firm believer that every grow room/box/tent should have a very loud smoke detector. Glad your OK the last thing you need is for your local papers headline to read:"Pot grower burns down neighborhood!":phew: Again, very glad your OK brah!

it makes since to me also.

ya no shit that would look good, naked guy just out of the shower standing next to a burnt down grow room, with my grow papers burnt also. ya that would be good.

Now my question to all of you that have done this is , did the plant stretch less? did it finish faster?

My hashberry seems to stretch about the same as when I don't do it. But the popcorn buds show their face a good two to three days earlier and the trich's also seem to ripen about two or three days earlier... Again I think certain strains act differently.. So yeah IMO it needs to be experimented with on a per-strain bases.

I don't think this has been said, but you also save on electricity for those 24/36hrs of complete darkness.. The more greener the better I always say..

very interesting. Butcher said he girl stretched less then when he didn't leave them in the dark. So that tells me it can be strain dependent. this could be why some swear by this and some dont. all had different strains.

and saving money is always good.lol

It's defiantly worth it to see if your HS girls will like it or not.. I know your electric bill will..

Ive spent hours and hours trying to deal with this heat and different fans. their just no beating it, A/C is the only way and thats not an option for me. i am said to say these plants are gonna have to deal with it. At least ill have some out door ones to back me up.

the weird thing is they dont look stressed out at all, in fact they look like their enjoying it? ther growth in explosive!! they are not stretching just staying compacted and shooting nodes out all over. i am just gonna let them be ans see what happens? I want to see if leds and their less IR will higher the bar on heat stress? If the girls dont make it then lesson learned, but if they do make it and do good then we just learned something new. I will sacrifice my girls so we can all learn something that can maybe help us guys that face high temps and cant run A/C.

I am running a 435cfm exhaust fan and a 293cfm intake. know the intake in blowing air in from a room thats cooler and the cool air from the intake is blowing right on the girls to keep them cool.

wish my girls luck guys. they are going into combat :riskybusiness:

I think heat becomes more of an issue later in flower. Cannabis grows in hotter climates but many strains expect cooler, long nights. Growing those outside their natural expectations can lead to variation in bud formation (stringy or airy bud).

This is how I presently understand it.

I don't A/C my tent, but I have good airflow 24 hours a day. Seemed to help me, possibly because the plants do not get a chance to deplete the natural CO2 level. I surmist this offers a bit of resilience to the heat.

would you agree that a hps bulb is so hot it evaporates the moisture in the grow room way more than a led light and this is why your plants dont get as stressed even if the room temp is quite high?

i love watching led grows gettin bigger and better and its starting to sound like something out of war of the worlds, all the hps growers are thinking...and slowly but surley.......they drew their plans against us lol :)

I agree 100%. my fear is airy runny buds. i got some sativa's from Afghanistan just because i know the heat is gonna be hot. I have consent air flow running 24/0 and using crabs and Silica. I hope all these things put together is gonna help?

As of right now its 91F* in my room. All i can do is keep them moist and hope for the best.

I think if latter on in flowering i feel them buds being airy/fluffy i am gonna feed them some of that Humboldt Gravity to harden them up and help out some.

It really kills me to know their in that heat.

very good post you maid bro. Thanks!! + REP

yes i would agree and this is why i think my plants will make it and do ok. I hope?

as long as i can keep them moist and i dont have the radiant heat from HID blasting their leaves and causing heat stress i should be good IMO.

If things dont work out then i will just get a small tent and put it in my bed room and go 12/12 from the start. and try to knock out a few grows that way until it cools down they ill go back into the grow room and do it big again.

I'd love to see the Irishboy 12/12 from the start grow in the HEAT... I think 12/12 from the start is a nice technique to have in the med growing tool box..

There you go always staying one step ahead of the game...Nice :grinjoint:

WOW i am speechless right now.
I just looked at member of the month and 9 people voted for me. that makes me feel so good. I dont care if i win it, just the fact that i was able to help 9 people and they thought i deserved that title. I already won in my mind! Thank you guys, you really mad my day.

I cant believe that my Nug Of The Month is winning? thats crazy!!! I was blessed to win plant of the month already, and now i might take home Nug Of The Month. these are the things that keep me going and trying to push this led teck.

I really wish i had a good camera to show you guys the true looks of these nugs. shit i wish all of us could just twist one up and smoke some of this led bud.

THANK ALL OF YOU FOR THE SUPPORT AND VOTES!! It truly means allot to me. :thanks:

I am not too sure but i was thinking 12/12 from start might help me with heat problem, maybe by having them in the heat less time?? IDK. but i have always wanted to try it! two things that worries me.

1 Mike lights seem like they dont stretch the plants too much and this is something i love, but might hurt me doing 12/12 from start.

2 Ive never seen anyone go 12/12 from clone? I dont see why it would hurt? i think it might be better no?

I like the fact you dont give spider mites too much time to hack your plants up and you can save money on power. i also like how you can just keep adding plants to flower and not worry about a different room to veg them in.

now you just tempting me. I am really thing about doing this. a small tent and one of mike 300w lights.

Dog you order a 300w right? if so are you going to do 12/12 from the start? if so you have to keep me posted for sure on this.
