The Little Amazon Welcomes All Visitors!

Awesome looking plants btw whats the vortex thing for?
im kinda lost with that

What's up Cronichemphog?
How is everything with you and your garden?
I have been busy trying to build a veg room and finishing other projects, forgot I had to do some updates. The Vortex is used to make compost teas. It cost around $1500 for unit, I spent about $450 including the air pump that cost me $110.
Here is a video of it.

I am also interested in the vortex. Is it used for beer brewing?

Plants are looking great. Cotton Candy Kush is definitely a plant of the month candidate.

Thanks for the visit KCMP!
How are you doing? Yeah I saw that contest and I was about to do an update so I thought, why not? I should have tried to take better pictures but I am so busy that I just wanted to get it done.
I will have to do some new changes in the room, for sure a new AC unit. Summer is around the corner and my room get so hot that I was thinking to run just 1 light during summer, but the temptation to keep going is greater :)
Yes I use to brew my teas. I will do couple more runs using synthetics nutrients mix with organics and then go full organic for a little while.
I am glad you liked the girls :)
Thanks for the compliment.
Peace

so where what is pumping the water?

edit ok never mind I saw another vid I get the idea

Hey bud, I got your PM, but for some reason it won't let me send one back until I have 50 posts or something. Plant is looking great bro! So Good Luck! I haven't been online much lately, I've been super busy. My Cotton Candy ended up turning out great, even with the little problem I had. I am super happy with it, and will definitely grow it again. Your Cotton Candy Kush looks killer. What did you end up deciding on getting for lights? Take care and Good Luck bro!

How's it going King?
I am still trying to decide if I should invest the money and time in LED's. I guess I will be doing one more with HID, save a little bit and switch during the summer.

Hello my fellow brothers and sisters :)
How have you guys been? Happy to be healthy and have the opportunity to grow nice plants? I am!!!
I'm sorry for not updating lately but I have been busy with regular work and after get off from work I'm also working building a 12x8 room, not for my self, I wish I could :)
This week I finished building the veg room that I will post pictures soon, just a small 3x3x4.5
For the veg room I was going to get T'5s, but using them I need cover the total square ft and they don't make 3ft long fixtures, the only model I found was the Tek Light 3ft X 6 Lamp, but they have been discontinued. Since I would spend about $400 in T5's I thought, why not LED's? Most of growers that uses Led's or have used don't complain about their performance in vegetative stage, instead, most of them got very impressed by the growth compared to whatever type of lighting they were using before. Well, for that reason I am decided to buy a Led panel, but I am battling to decide from what manufacture and model.
I contacted Advanced, their price for the Diamond Series EX-Veg, DS200 $469.00 and DS300 $795.00. They are offering 10% off this month. The DS200 draws about 185w and DS300 300w. They recommended me to use the DS300, which I think it could too much since I don't have much celling, making the DS200 more affordable.
The Mars II 400w was recommended to me as the best fit for my setup, it uses about the same power as the Diamond series, around 170W-200W. The only problem with TopLed is that I have to wait a week and select the spectrum, and to be honest I don't know anything about it!
The platinum Led would be the P450 model, but I would also have to wait a week to be manufactured.
So, tomorrow I will be harvesting the plants. I have been feeding them for the last weeks this way.
As you may know I have a plant competing for the plant of the month contest and I am in first place right now. Please help the contest voting for your favorite plant (hope it's mine)

Alright guys, it's time!
I am about to start chopping everything down. I took some pictures but I couldn't get so many because I had to hold the flashlight and camera at the same time, making it very difficult not to shake.
I will post pictures of all without numbering them, I can't remember who is who after so many pictures taken.

Here we go!

Those girls are awesome! That's some real bud porn. Enjoy your harvest.

Looks amazing!!! Is that a nanner?

It does look like a 'nanner, HunterNitro. If it made a bean, I'LL TAKE IT! :grinjoint:

Thanks for all the support during this journey guys! I just finished the last 3 (Blackberry and 2 Cotton Candy) this morning.
I didn't notice it before Hunther, but it could be! Since the Pre98 Bubba showed some little fox tailing aspect, I don't doubt if she is carrying even more of those, next Wednesday we gonna find out how many and who will be delivering. You could have all of them Ghetto!!!
I can already tell you few things that I must correct in the next run.
Reduce number of plants, grow larger ones or, triple the number and flower with only a week vegetated and single top.
Control height. Plants were too tall and the ones on the left side row the bottom flowers were more fluffy caused by lack of light.
I feel like reducing the number would give me a lot room to work on the plants and definitely better coverage.
Last week I transplanted some clones, 12 of them. I will check which ones are the strongest and bring to the room. The strains I have are:

Platinum Girls Scout Cookies
Platinum Bubba Kush
Girls Scout Cookies Forum Cut
Animal Cookies
Diamond OG
Cherry Pie

I could select 3 of those strains and have 2 of each and go with 5 gallon smart pots or run all 6 strains, what do you guys think?
I know I will be risking yield since most of GSC a low yield, plus the fact that I will be reducing the number aiming to reach at least 5oz per plant, requiring a longer veg, which would reduce the number of harvest per year. If I had a bigger veg room that would not be problem, that's why I was considering having a bigger number of clones as they don't require much space for vegetate and my 3x3 would be perfect.
I am still struggling to decide which light to get. I was excited about the Sun System LEC 315 until I found out its height of 20", almost half of my veg tent height :(
I will go with led but only with all blue and white spectrum, I can't have red for privacy concern, and as I don't know how to design it I will probably end up with T'5.

Your setup is similar to mine. I have a 4x8 tent with 600w HPS on one side and a 1000w HPs on the other. I do all my vegging under a 2'x4' flouro T8 fixture I built for $50US and it can provide more than enough girls to keep my flower tent full. 3x3 would be perfect. IMO

I don't think you have to worry about "low yield" strains right now. You got a shiz-load of nice buds right now! :)

I may go with a dimmable SolisTek 600W digital ballast 600/400/360 and SolisTek MH Digital Lamp for $244 delivered on Friday if I order today. I need to get something ASAP, I would love to this project with the T8's but I have been so busy with other construction.
I agree about the harvest, summer is coming and I will be fully loaded :lot-o-toke:
