InstaGram's Advanced LED 600w Soil Grow

This is more of the energetic, socializing type smoke. As you can tell..haha..Can't wait to taste the cured top colaz..YUMMM!!!

Yeah man, it's great to have an active high especially after heavy hitter couch melting indicas haha. I love to wake and bake with bud like that! :bigtoke::joint::Rasta: I also think that maybe because you pulled these nugs early might be a reason why its an energetic smoke, I heard somewhere on this website that the longer you let them go (more amber), the more couch lock and clear/cloudy trichs give you more active high :yahoo::yahoo::bongrip:

Yea..From my understandings is when you pull in early development of trichs, the high tends to be more heady. I am after full potency, so I shall wait till trichs are at least 30 percent amber. Though this does give me something to consider for the future. My wife is enjoying it tremendously and we shall have fun tonight:clap::yahoo:

Thanx for the input!! I hear waiting to cut the smaller trim until dry, will increase odor???..Someone tells me doing the detail work right after you chop creates a grassy smell. I always thought the smell comes back during the curing process. Am I wrong?? Would it be better to wait until the buds are dry, then detail? Is there any method that is best for creating optimal odor, instead of having that grassy smell?

Personally, I trim them on the branch, all the way - right away. I let them dry to a point on the branch where they start to feel almost dry enough on the outside. Then, I clip them off and jar them, letting the moisture from the inner portion of the bud come back to the outer portion. Once they do that, I leave the lid off the jar or pour the contents into a paper bag with a few pencil holes in it, until the outside starts to feel a bit dry again, and re-jar. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Sometimes they smell grassy when they're still wet. If you dry them slowly and properly, that goes away. If you dry them too fast, that smell/taste can kind of be "locked in" a bit. It's sometimes a normal part of curing, though. Just don't dry them too fast and you should be fine.

I find that letting the final detail trim wait, makes the smaller leaves more difficult to clip out, as they tend to curl up after they've been down a bit. When they're fresh, they "stick out" more, making the trim quicker and easier (to me). A lot of it has to do with RH (humidity), in this sense: If it's really low RH during your drying phase, leaving some leaf on the bud can help slow the dry down so that it doesn't progress too fast. If you can keep a nice 50-60% RH during the drying portion, they should dry pretty well without getting too dry too fast, even if you've already trimmed off the detail portion.

Propa Gator, a very good grower here, sometimes mists his buds/branches while they are drying, to keep it from drying "too fast". That takes cajones, but food for thought in the sense that there are many ways to skin a cat, or grow/harvest cannabis... :)

I like to err on the side of jarring them a bit more moist than some. Preferring to have to unjar them a few times for more drying, as the moisture in the buds redistributes from the middle outward. Once they get to a certain point of dryness, the cure stops and the flavor is what it is... for good. So, better to let them dry a bit slower. Just don't ever let them stay wet in jars for too long, or mold comes to spoil the party...

spot on Xlr8. im by no means a super grower but i know many in my area and some extremly exceptional growers, when it comes to harvest this question has come up alot and i tend to go exactly with what you just said and they follow suit. every harvest ive had smells like hay in the first 1-3days of drying and the grass smell is impossible to avoid since the buds are still moist effectivly alive still when trimming.. the cure stage is when the bud should develop most of the turpens and intense aromoas that should accompy the bud. when you read descriptions like has an undertone of spice with a fruity berry taste ect.. i find it only possible to get these scents when a proper cuer is done. also i would assume drying takes longer if you dont detail trim when wet too..and by the time they are ready to cure i feel they would have dried out too much.. each to there own though

Man those leaves are fat as hell, lol. looks great. even greater for a 1st time indoor grower. A+ I'm subbed. Sorry it took me so long to get here. Saw ya posting on Buckshots thread.
+Reps

My youngest Son who is 9, back when he was two and wanted to help in the outdoor garden decided to help me pull weeds, problem was it was the indoor garden and the wrong kind of weeds lmao, wasn't the last time either. Sorry to hear about your seed napping incident :(

Flushed the sticky stinky girls for the 5th time yesterday. The WW and the 2 other Cheese plants will get chopped this weekend. I shall check trichs on the Mysteries and the BBD and go from there with those. BBDs leaves are starting to turn purple and is swelling up nicely. I will have to take a single picture tomorrow to show how the Single Cola plants bud a blowing up. CRAZY. The buds are all hard as rocks, and obviously packed with trichs!!
