Good morning from the ladies...24 hours after second soaking/watering with pH adjusted water (6.26). Awaiting my Mars Reflector 48.....will also go back to using Swick once soil dries out some. I will allow reservoir to dry out and wait between refilling to allow pots to dry out some.

Heater is now cycling on every 2 hours to keep temps up....any other suggestions?

Bring on the green! They are looking better Yankeetoker.

I use the SWICK system on some of my plants too.

Your temperature is much more comfy for them now. :)

I think you'll love the Mars Hydro light, with all of the reflective material in the grow space it's going to be really nice.

Little by little, I'm starting to really grasp how my plants need to be cared for. I appreciate all the info you guys have shared with me. Much appreciated!

I'm looking forward to the new lights, I hope I can start to see some real growth with everything else "fixed". :circle-of-love:

I'm looking forward to you getting real growth too.

2 of 3 look 'hooked up' to the soil and water. That girl on the left still needs to settle in a bit, but you are on your way.

The one on the left is the solo cup transplant, so I figured she would take a bit more time. I'm so excited to be upgrading my lights!:circle-of-love:

Question...I see people talk about needing Cal-Mag when using LED. Will I need to invest in some at some point?

I have never had to add Cal/Mag due to using LED lighting. Matter of fact, since I have started on the special soil blend I'm using I have not had to add it the last couple of grows that I can recall. I use all LED now, for flowering.
I did have to add it to some plants that started outdoors last year, only because I believe rainwater had basically flushed the soil in the pots.

I don't recall Dennise ever having to add that either....I'm sure she will pop in.

It's not real expensive, I have some in the General Hydroponics line and it's very concentrated. A little goes a loooong way.

Also, there are tricks to adding calcium to your soil if needed...got any eggshells?
People crush them up and mix them in the soil, or in their compost. And you can make an eggshell water to give them a little boost of calcium and other nutrients that eggshells have. Make sure the shells are cleaned of any eggy stuff, but leave the membrane in.
Bring some water up to boil, take it off the heat and add the eggshells. Let it cool and then drain the water out.

Lots of homemade no cost ways to help plants......

Funny you should say this, I actually use eggshells in my garden outdoors.....

I think I'm so much more comfortable with outdoor gardening because the plants seem so much more forgiving. Growing indoors, I feel like everything needs to be "measured".

:passitleft: I always had to add it every watering until I started using PJ soil... I think I added it once last grow and to be honest it was more out of habit than need.... Cal/mag is a really easy def to see and recognize... I have read too on the Mars-Hydro site that a lot of growers do have to add cal/mag... It's something about the LEDs... I don't really know the science but you will know or one of us would most certainly recognize it if it becomes an issue....:thumb:...:circle-of-love:
