I just got done with the Cindy from female seeds. I really enjoyed the smoke. They were an easy plant to grow and didn't smell up my home.... Much. Enjoy when your done.

Thanks, man. She doesn't smell like anything compared to her roommate....

She is at Day 38 since I flipped to 12/12...how does she look to you? The Pineapple Chunk looks much further along, and they are the same "age"...

They both look great, YT! I haven't run the 99, but some sativa strains build a bunch of tiny calyxes, and then swells them all up at the end. You weathered the Ca/Mg issue pretty well, they are a bit light, but not bad at all. You could have gone a bit heavier, peaking just with the flower production, and then rolling off as budswell slows. Took me a year of perpetual to figure out city/treated water. i pH every single watering, and supplement every single watering with CalMag.

Thanks, CareStaker! I have been hitting them with a foliar spray every couple of weeks (alfalfa-kelp-EWC ) and alternating between just water (with CalMag ), alfalfa-kelp-EWC nutrient teas, and a light mixture of liquid kelp and bloom fish ferts.

I pH anything that goes into the soil, and they seem to be responding well.

I am real pleased with the development of the Pineapple Chunk. The C99 buds seem so "behind" in development. According to the breeder, Patti should have another 3 weeks or so...tomorrow is Day 42. I hope the C99 starts to swell because otherwise she is just tall and lanky with little buds.

Funny, I like smoking sativas, but like how indicas "grow"....

Thanks for taking a peek.

Looking awesome Yankee... Been drooling over them...

Thanks, fellas! I could just look at Patti all day long.....

Gave both plants an alfalfa-kelp-EWC foliar spray this morning. Cindy got a gallon of ph adjusted water only last night as well (no CalMag since I knew she would get foliar spray this morning).

Patti will get a gallon of water only this evening after the foliar spray this morning.

With both plants being about 3-4 weeks from harvest, should I just add water to the soil, but foliar feed "nutrients"? Or should I cut out the foliar sprays as well and just give plain water (with CalMag )?

YT

Most people don't start using plain water only until the last two weeks. I'd say whichever you decide will be fine in the meantime.
So one more compost tea then straight water is what I'll try....they have pretty good color for it to be so "late " in the cycle.

Thanks, YT

Caretaker,
I also use city/tap water and I'm wondering what figuring it out means ? Mine is 220 ppm, and ph of 8.1, but I have no way of knowing exact mineral content. We have never had a problem using it. I also drink it, filtered through a brita filter. And like you, I always ph, but only add cal-mag from about 2d. wk. of bloom, till 2 wk. before harvest. I'm using equal parts of perlite, coco coir, and vermicrop organic mix. Any advise is appreciated .

Hey Slow. Your water has some minerals in it - if it reads 220ppm. You won't have any way of telling how much of it is Cal, Mg, and other, without testing - but you can impute that if you are adding Ca/Mg only at those intervals, that a good portion of the 220ppm is comprised of useful minerals. Sounds like you found what works for you though. At your levels, cutting Ca at the last 2 weeks makes sense. Ca is relatively immobile, and my levels are much lower, so I roll off sharply, and cut the last 7-10 days. My water is buffered to a 9.3pH as reads about 80-100ppm from the tap - so it contains almost no minerals.

I like your mix, I'm running something similar now, but it has an equal peat component as well....dirt/coco/perlite/goodies. Happy gardening. :Namaste:

Nice Yankee, coming along well... :passitleft:
