Xlr8's Quest For The Best - 2012

well x propa said the best thing of all! however i have some ideas, i find some supplements for nerve pain and my leg cramps (i get mad charlie horses a t night) the glucosamine/condrotin with msm is good make sure you take a lil vita c with msm it needs c to activate, valerian root ,gaba, passionflower work well for night time cramps and spazams, also make sure your getting your "ums" calcium, magnesium, potassium minerals are a big problem with our health in usa, i would get the most outrageous mineral supplement you can find ,azomite for ppl! your growing the best nerve pain remedy i know of !
they tried giving me the anti depressants, but all of them make me feel horrid after 1 pill so i never got hooked now i know better! theres this stuff i got at the health food /herb shop called "reumofan plus" for joint pain it works amazing but theres controversy the fda issued a warning that it has drugs in it not listed on the label its made in mexico i still use it but only once in awhile 2-3 times a week ,dont know if its safe but on days i need to be mobile its great! look lt up and decide for yourself, im more scarred of what the fda approves! they always want to ban anything that actually helps us! i will add stuff here as i think of it

I'm taking notes and will add some of this to my current routine. I take a good multivitamin and Papaya and B-complex currently, as well as glucosamine. I'll have to look into reumofan plus... See my last post to Propa, I'm taking my health into my own hand a bit and I'm on a mission. I've made huge strides, though I can't shake the chronic pain and arthritis, unfortunately.

Can't thank you enough for the great tips, BID! :thankyou:

I'm with you about what the FDA approves. Your instincts on the anti-depressants were good and you should feel really relieved that you dodged that bullet. They turn you into a zombie and are hella addictive, despite many doctors saying they aren't. But, they seem to regurgitate the same BS the drug companies give them, which burned me before I learned that lesson...

Thanks again buddy! :high-five:

Yo Xlr8 not to be a pain man but I think this plants been done for a few days maybe more and she is a lil over 40 some days now I really think its ready can you weigh in please......

EDIT: X I thought it was kinda gaudy puttin my pic in here.....my bad I am gonna post it in my thread and if you have an opinion on it I would appreciate it...thanks!

Hey buddy!

You are always welcome to post a pic(s) in my journal. Never worry about that Shiz. :)

I posted my thoughts in your journal, and I hope it helps. Personally, I think you have 2-3 weeks left or so, but that sure is a really pretty plant!! :yummy:

im more scarred of what the fda approves!

As well you should be. FDA approves what they are paid to. For instance, my bottle of stevia extract has nowhere on it words to indicate that it is a sweetener. The assholes who make big money selling those pink, blue, and yellow packets of nasty artificial 'sweetener' can afford to hire FDA to run interference against this natural, benign, fairly effective and good tasting plant. Since chemical companies can't patent the plant to exploit a protected market, they buy suppression from their action unit, the FDA. This is similar to what DEA does for big Pharm to cut competition from cannabis. Citizen health & happiness is the LAST thing on their mind$.

FDA approval stamp should be skull & crossed bones.

amen!! i love stevia use it all the time, almost exclusively

PS really sorry for interrupting the discussion X......I am an egregious thread jacker

I agree stevia is good

:)

No worries Shizz!

Steve who? Stevie A.? ;)

Never knew much about it 'til now, but I'm definitely intrigued after a little research at Go0gle university. Thanks for the tip Propa, BID and Shizzy. I've always been old school sugar kinda guy, but that's because I wasn't aware this product was all natural. Looks like something I'll be trying, for sure. :)

Chernobyl sounds good too. I like Subcool's stuff quite a lot too, and am planning on adding a Jilly Bean to my next grow. I've got a whole bunch of his strains/seeds, and just not enough time to grow it all! Chernobyl is one I don't have though, and I'll have to check out your journal as I'd love to see that one flowered out.

I know it has Jack the Ripper in it, which is in all of the plants I'm growing right now. JTR is a pretty good daytime strain for sure. JTR is pretty unique in a few ways, too. It's one of only a few cannabis strains on the market known to posess significant levels of THC-V, which has some interesting, unique medical properties. It's thought to potentially help with weight loss, and as an anti-convulsant but not a lot is known about it yet though there is much buzz about it and testing going on currently. Check out this video:

JTR is a creeper too, and has a very delayed high in relation to anything else I've tried. I love the lemonade taste, too and overall I like it a ton. I hope you'll let me know if the Chernobyl has the lemonade flavor and delayed effects.
Hey X, thanks for the vid very cool stuff.I have 3 chernobyl seedlings unsexed yet.So it will be awhile before I can do a smoke report, but even now if I rub a leaf it smells strongly of lime.I plan on doing a chernobyl round next so im not sure if im going to take clones for mothers and flower the seedlings so I can try it before I dedicate a whole grow to it or just sex them and then veg them into mothers for the next round. I usually like to try new strains out in soil pots at the end of my screen before I do a full run with them but im pretty sure there are no bad pheno's with chernobyl.Hmmmm..decisions decisions.heres a couple pics of them after defoliation.

IMAG012817.jpg

both of these are the indica dom and I have one more thats a runt that I wont keep.

im using the 3part plus bloom booster, now ive only got the small quart bottles, but these have lasted 8 months and ive grown plenty of plants with it, also i was feeding bpn every feed and every other feed, but i took it to every 3rd feed, not because i was using a lot of nutes but because my plants didnt need it, so thats what im doing, the feeding guide on the bpn site starts from week 1 and you add 2.5ml per gallon of water of each of the nutes,

when they was delivered i had to pay tax of £12 but if it was labled as gift i would not of had to pay this import tax, so if you speak to corey at bpn and get him to label it as a gift then their wont usually be a charge on any tax,

but trust me, it lasts ages, i thought id use it up pretty quick as i do soil grows and 2ltr dwc grows, but its lasted me a long time and i wont need to order any more till xmas, plus i am only using the smallest size corey does and it has lasted me all this time, so it really does go a long way, plus the plants go crazy for it, when i do my dwc grows and the roots hit the nutes in the res then the roots go crazy and grow so quick, i have never had nute burn or nute lock out, as long as you follow the online guide that corey did you will not have any problems, you only use a small amount of each bottle so it does last a long time, but if you was growing hydro then you may use it up quicker, but this would be the same with any product, bpn is also cheaper than other well known brands but this does not mean its not as good, i would not spend more on postage if i thought it was not worth it, i could buy stuff from garden centers here, but after i got bpn and seen what it did to the plants then im more than happy to pay the postage for my next order,

for it to get to me the postage works out a lot but its more than worth it for a produce that has given me no problems since day 1, if i had nute burn or some deficiency then i would try something else, but i have not had any issues what so ever

Hmmm , this is very interesting !! Nice trick with the gift, i didnt know that ! ..lol
I know very well the results of these wonderfull nutes, I 've seen them in the most succefull journals, the prob is I need much more with a 9 or 12 bucket setup in flo n gro system !! M I right to this ?

i would be more than happy to try them , If the damn taxes/USPS come on logical price and the nutes last for a while ...

thats the problem mate, the postage, but as i only buy the quart bottles then its not as much, but this time ill be ordering some of the new products corey has brought out, i know the postage is high to me but i have had no issues with the product, i know that the more you order then the cheaper it gets but for the postage im not sure how much if would cost for bigger amounts, drop corey and email and tell him how much your looking to order and see what price he comes up with, he may also have prices on the shipping as well as he does ship a lot out, so might be able to give you some idea of the end figure,

but using that amount it would still cost a lot to buy it from a local hyrdo shop, so speak to corey and see how much his product plus shipping would cost, if it works out way to high then it may not be worth it, but if it is not that much more then id say go with it, like i said me and other growers have not had an issues with coreys products, they do what they say they do and they do it very well indeed.

corey wont mind you dropping him an email, he will get back to you very quick, just explain to him what you doing and how much your likely to need and see what he says,

yo don paul, Sorry I didn't check the box that it was a gift..I didn't realize that you would have to pay a tax on it. I am currently negotiating with FedEx on their rates and might switch over to them for all of my shipping needs. They are working me up some negotiated prices and they are including international shipping in their package. I hope that I can get low enough rates with FedEx that I can start shipping gallon size containers to the UK for a reasonable rate. There is a lot of demand for my products over there and I definitely need to get a piece of that market share.

thanks for letting me know corey, dont worry about it mate, the first order was a gift from 2 growers on this site,so i only had to pay the tax on it, import tax from customs i think it was, but im so chuffed with the product that ill be ordering my next batch around xmas time, plus id like to try some of the new products as well, ill need to sort out what products i will benefit from, the 3 part plus bloom booster is ideal as i grow in soil and some 2ltr dwc grows so i can use it for both and i have never had 1 problem, so im going to stick with bpn for all my grows as it works so well,
so ill drop you a email close to the time and have a sort out with what i need and what else i can buy to improve on what i got, i have not had any nute burn issues or anything since using bpn so im not going to change to something else when i know this product works so well, plus im working now so i dont have to worry to much about the costs,
even better if you can get a good delivery rate with fedex, would make it a bit cheaper in the end.
im sure as more people see the results your products get then the more orders from over seas you will get, i did contact sns about their products but they say their not registered to sell products outside the usa, so i cant order or buy any of their products which seems a bit strange, i did email then and ask them but they say their not registered to sell international,

ill email you corey nearer the time mate and we can sort out what i need and figure out the best way to post it and stuff, thanks for the work you do mate, makes it a whole lot easier for us to grow the best we can, reps for you mate

Hey Xlr8, something else to check out at Go0gle university if your into all natural is Forks over Knives

Love it, but that means I have to let go of bacon cheeseburgers? No thanks!! ;)

I still have some real work to do on my nutrition, but I have decided to make things like "bacon cheeseburgers" a treat, not a way of life. So far so good, but like I said, I need a lot of work to do. Thanks for the tip on that!

Never thought I'd say this, but I've grown to like the Tofu that is now a staple in my life. More than anything, I've shrunk my stomach and trained it to be happy with smaller portions. I've also trained my tastebuds to find joy in many things I'd never have imagined I'd like. This was no small feat, let me tell you, though it was helped by limited funds to buy food with, haha.

Thanks again for the tip on Forks over knives. :thumb:

Yes, you are correct. Take a spreadsheet and make a feeding plan based on the application guide on the Blue Planet Nutrients website. Plan how many ML of each thing you need per week based on the size of reservoir you'd use. 40-50 gallons as an example.

Here's an outdated example of what I mean (sorry I don't have a more recent one handy at the moment):

bpn_nutrient_chart.jpg

Notice that I was able to calculate (middle of the spreadsheet) the approximate ML's of each thing I'd need for the grow. It's just a simple formula that adds up each item by week and totals it. Also, in the notes I have the amount of ML to a gallon. As you can see - in this example, I needed almost a full gallon of bloom for this grow. It's not a bad idea to make a plan like this for each grow and you'll be better prepared in all aspects, including how much of each thing you'll need.

I can't help you much on the taxes, etc., but I'm sure Corey could quote it for you (perhaps with some help from FedEx, etc.) once you get to that point of possibly ordering. :)

Cool beans - I sent you a PM somewhat related to this with a few thoughts I couldn't help sharing - hope you don't mind. :)

Don - thanks for weighing in with your thoughts and experiences having had a shipment of BPN over there - I'm sure it's appreciated and you have a unique insight on it. :thank you:

Fluffy hugs! :hugs: :circle-of-love:

Fluffy hugs rock - thanks Fluffster! Right back atcha --- :hugs:

I was really inspired by the story you shared and everything you've been through with your arm to this point. You are a really cool person and someone who really does inspire me with your approach to life and it's many various challenges.

:circle-of-love:

now thats they way i like it corey, i all ready gave you reps so cant give it again, just mark it as gift next time, i should not be charged tax on it then, so ill be dropping you an email in about a month and have a sort out what i need.

with bpn i found that you use more of one and less of the other throughout the whole of the grow, so if you used the guide above to work out what you need and then you may be able to order less of the one and more of the other, this way you would still only order what you need without having to pay extra for delivery of what you dont need, like the bloom booster, you only use this later on in the grow and its only in small amounts, so this bloom booster ive been using has got loads left compared to the other bottles,

i didnt even know you had to register to sell goods in other countries, could understand if it was going in a shop somewhere, but over the net i didnt think it would matter, but i sure would love to see some bpn over here, their are a few hydro shops and id love to be able to walk in and buy my bpn, but till that day comes ill be ordering it direct, cant wait to try some of these new products as well, if it improves on what i got now then ill be very happy indeed,
