Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures & Photos From The Garden - 2012

Flowering Update - Day 31 bloom (since photoperiod reduction)

I'm really happy with the flower development, and especially the trichome development the last week or so. Seems like things are moving along at a decent pace. In theory, these strains should all take around 9-10 weeks - so we're about half way there. The Deadhead OG and the Chocolope have both stopped vertical growth, but surprisingly the SLH has shot up a bit more the last few days. They sure smell divine (Super Lemon Hazes)!

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

You are never butting in here my friend. Thanks for giving such a great suggestion. I have one of those, but as you know I love the kids toy thing I use -- what the heck is it called? Don't you use one too sometimes OMM? Kids microscope thing with lights that plugs into the TV, and gives me great big 42" plasma views of the trichs. I just wish I could take pictures with it. If I ever get some money again, I'd like to get one of those USB scopes that takes pics like Jandre recommended...
i bet you could take pics of the tv when you have a great shot displaying i have done that before with plasma and lcd tvs the pics turn out pretty good, far better than the old crt tele's

You ever notice that if you sprout a seed on an 8 week strain near January 1st, it is often ready for harvest around... 4/20? ;)

I'll try to recap/detail things if I can, but my wife runs our drying/curing and she tends to be all bidness, lol. She gets impatient with me wanting to take pics and documenting things - but I'll try to take time to detail our process when I can. Good idea!

I'd love to hear more about what other people do to dry/cure, too. It's not my strength, but my wife is good at making the call on things. We used to disagree often on when to jar things, vs. leaving them hang longer or bag them... she's always been right so far. I don't argue anymore. ;)
sounds like mama x knows her shiz! i try to make the mama happy all the time cuz when mamas not happy nobody is! fact o business right there! lol

one more time! they sure look healthy im thinking i need to grow a haze, and slh sounds like the one! now to find the best source
and omm's absolute lust for chocolope has me wanting:thumb:

Chocolope Forever!

Oh yeah! The last one I grew was still the best bud I've ever had, so I'm pretty excited about this one to say the least! I hope this one is as good as the last one, because the plant itself should yield much better this time. :)

Hi BID -

I've tried but it's hard to hold the scope steady and take a pic at the same time. Still, I've managed to get a couple of okay pics in some of my older journals. They always come out blurry because both need to be steady at the same time - it's a clusterf*ck situation when I try to do it, lol. I might just get one of those digital scopes eventually... Thanks for the suggestion though!

She's good at the drying and curing part for sure, which I love since that's the part I'm least confident in (though that's getting much better with time). I'm just so glad she's helpful and supportive in general - makes things a lot easier and less stressful. MMJ really is one of the few things that helps me relax and feel better a bit. :bong:

I  Chocolope a ton. The last one I grew is something I miss every day! I cherished those buds, and I'm pretty excited about how well this plant is doing - it smells identical to the last one I grew. I hope it's as good! :)

Thanks for the props and reposting the photos. My SLH is from Greenhouse - I've heard their Super Silver Haze is really amazing as well (Super Lemon Haze is a cross between Super Silver Haze and Lemon Skunk). This one smells dead on like Lemonheads candy! :yummy:

:thankyou:

Things are looking good man! Iv read several of your comments on other journals and read some of yours. I'm using a bloom box and would love for any advice you could give. I'm not trying jump your thread but I can't PM yet. Sorry. I haven't even read half of this journal and wow, thers a lot of info! Keep up the god work! https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/foghorn-bloombox-noob-2012-a.170526/

Hi Foghorn - :welcome: and :thankyou:

First off - I love those BCNL grow boxes. They are actually very well made and thought out. Even though I like having things as I do now, I miss mine. I would use mine differently now that I have a bit more growing experience I think, but it really produced given the relatively small space. I'll drop by your grow and follow along and will happily give any advice I can think of. I don't have much time tonight, but I'll sub to your thread and pop by again when I have more time. :)

Your girls are looking suuuuuuuuuuuuperb :bravo: my friend. :bravo:

Thanks for the compliment Xlr8, that means a lot coming from a grower of your caliber.

:Namaste:

Thank you HMG!

When you said "your caliber" all I could think of was "woohoo I want to be a 44 magnum!". Ahh, I feel like I'm getting better at growing all the time, but I also feel like I have a million miles to go sometimes, ya know? :)

I love your thread HMG - If I'm being honest, there aren't too many times I see something and think "Oh wow, I hope I can grow something that nice!". I mean, there are a ton of nice plants on the site here and elsewhere, but once a in a while I see something that inspires me to do better - I've definitely gotten that vibe with some of the nice plants you've grown and bud you've produced. :thumb:

Thanks again for the props my friend. :)

looking good X

You've been a great friend and support here - appreciate it a ton. I need to get caught up on your garden - will try to drop by in a minute!
