Xlr8's "Flo N Gro" Hydro Multiple Strains 2011

Hi Buddy :high-five:

Check out my picture update......this Lucy has pink like yours. :Namaste:

Cool! It'll be interesting to see if she continues like the one I had. I love my Lucy already. I'm really glad you turned me on to Lucy - she's a good one for sure.

Hope you and Jo had a great Thanksgiving. :)

Hey Dude just looked back for the last pic update you have and all I can say is WOW. Coming along nicely. I bet you are past ready. Ready to start the next ones............
I love pretty flowers. You got nice nice ones. I have had plants turn alot of shades. I like the look of the lime green and true orange flowers. That sample you took at 61 days looks sweet. I'll drive back thru in afew. Keepem Green

:thanks: Norcaliwood!

I'm definitely beyond ready to start the next round, but we always have a lot of (mostly uninformed) company around the holidays so I will probably take a complete break until after the first of the year. In between, I hope to find ways to improve and tweak my grow space. I may try to vent things differently, and make a few tweaks to how I have my electrical, etc. Appreciate the kind words my friend! :high-five:

Man, those look amazing. Intrigued to see how your total yeild and quality is with the staggered harvest. The stuff on top looks done to you, but the lower buds still seem to need a little more time?

I think its more to try and get lower half to fill out more and as to speak give a double harvest with the same plant.

If this works out i will do this with mine every harvest... cant see why this would work out well.

Only downside is if the flowering space is scheduled for new plants, and they're ready.

Running out of space for plants. Now there's a problem I hope to have in the near future.

The thing for me this go round, is that I really didn't plan for Thanksgiving, company and traveling around the holiday. I ended up having two choices for harvesting - 2 weeks apart. I felt like a lot of the upper-most mature stuff was ready enough now, and might be "too done" for my liking 2 weeks from now. Conversely, I felt like some of the lower stuff would still be in the window in 2 weeks, and would benefit from more light for a couple of weeks. It's possible I should have left it all go for 2 more weeks, but I had to make a call, and I thought this would be a good learning opportunity as well as I've never staggered it before.

My preference would have been to harvested it all somewhere in between the 2 dates, but the holiday and company screwed that up a bit - so we're experimenting and winging it a bit...

I also had the benefit of taking a break after this, so nothing in the pipeline behind it for a bit - to Papa's point. :)

Hope you had a great Thanks Giving my friend, my best to you and yours! Those are some of the nicest flowers I've seen buddy, ever....

Thank you Quix! Hope you had a great Turkey day as well. :)

A few pics after initial selective harvest:

I should have taken more photos - these are after a few days drying ('cept the first one):

those look great man! good job! cant wait to get a final dry weigh in

:thanks: JJames - I'm thrilled with how things have gone so far, all things considered.

I just got caught up on your journal. Looks like the change to Blue Planet did good things for you, and you seem to have a good handle on things as you flip into flower. :thumb:

Very fine buds bro.

Awesome job, Brother! :welldone:
:high-five:

Hi xlr8.......what beauties! And just a start! :bravo:

Nice! :cheer:

Can't wait to see dry weights too, and thoughts on setup for the next round.

Those colas are fire. Can't wait for the dry weight and smoke report! Well done! Are you using the same system/setup for your next grow or trying something else?

:thanks: guys!

Probably going to take some time off for the holidays, then start a few plants after the first of the year. At this point, I'm thinking another Flo N Gro round first, but I really want to try a DIY under current grow similar to what Mr. Smith just did. I've laid out a plan for it but I just don't think I'll have the $$ to finish pulling it together with the holidays coming up.

I have a lot of interesting seeds I'd like to play with. I'm most excited about finally growing out some OG Kush (either Reserva Privadas, or Deadhead OG from Cali Connection) as well as some Subcool stuff like Jillybean, Jack the Ripper, or Vortex. I see the Deadhead OG just took 2nd in the Cannabis Cup/hybrid category... and I was already excited to grow it!

Thanks again for the props guys! :thumb:

I forget a bunch of stuff, so....did you flush or drop the nutes before the chop? :geek:

Hi Sisco -

Flushed for 2(3?) days before first chop. Went back to "light" nutrient feed, and will flush 3-4 days before second chop.
