That's cool... like a little mini DTW (I assume) hydro setup. Should you darken the 2L bottles with a layer of paint or tape to keep light out of those res'es?

Light hitting warm water filled with a nutrient solution is always an equation for growth.... but not the kind of growth you're wanting to promote. Various forms of mold or fungus often grow in res's that are exposed to light.

Think of it as the old fire triangle... you remember... 3 things form the fire triangle... heat, air, and fuel.
Food, light, and heat form the bad-growth triangle that hydro growers should be wary of. The light leg of that triangle is the easiest to control.

A thought sneaks in... I'll share.
Tead envisions a sealed grow area with atomizing emitters hooked to timers that fill the area with a fine mist every so often.
hmmmmmmmmmm.....

On the other hand, I suspect a search of Google might show that my idea is far from original.
