Woodsman Outdoors

Hello Woodsman, plants look very nice. Like all others I love the pink in that plant. Almost looks too good to smoke. Not really but very nice job.....

Hey Woodsman Just to show you anyone can enter POTM I posted a picture of my Columbian Gold there. Your girl will put me to shame so enter that Girl! I mean it! Do it! You will WIN :thumb:

Woodsman listen to that advice you have a good chance at winning this my friend.

Thanks for the welcome and parking for the sled team. When I mush up that way i will drop by as I head to the iditarod.

Lav, and OMM I also ant to thank you both for your hospitality and kind words.:grinjoint:

I agree. I was able to win the July 10' POTM with my pink Cotton Candy, and from what I have seen pink buds/hairs are pretty uncommon in the contest, so put her in there!! Like I said, I'll vote for ya!! :smokin:

I think I will go down to the Redwood forest and pick up hitch hikers for handfuls of home grown.

Damn, if I lived there I'd be driving a bus around and pick up hitchhikers all day long!

Hey, Brother. Those girls are getting big!! I'm so anxious for the season to be over. I love growing them outdoors, but I'll be happy to chop them. Later.

I'm going to be so relieved when I am through with this grow. Right now the woods around our place are starting to thin out some as the first leaves are starting to fall. The underbrush which is my salvation here as far as stealth, is also starting to thin out. My plants are now at the stage that they all look like MJ and not just 'green foliage'. Nothing like huge colas sticking up 6 ft in the air to get the paranoia going!

Hi Woodsman, just dropping by to say hey!

Nice looking photos, i can only hope to grow my babies that well, :yummy:

Thanks buddy, just pay attention (like I do) to what the very knowledgeable growers on this site say and you will do just fine!

Smoked some of her last night just before I went to bed, big mistake (but nice)! I ended up reading for a couple of hours before I got sleepy! I was tired when I smoked the bowl.

drop in when you can, i know you're busy...L:thumb:

I will L! I feel really bad as I have gone past my promised deadline! I'll do it!

I think your Columbian Senoritas are the hottest babes I've seen in a while! You got me pegged though! I saw your girls there and thought that maybe I should enter my stuff another time. Like I said before, I would hate to compete with my friends! But I guess that would mean that I'd never enter!

Thanks for the encouragement my friend!
LOL! Try to delay your trip until the first snow otherwise you'd hold up traffic!

Hi Woods,i'm with the gang i'll damn sure vote for the "Pink Lady":tokin:

Thank you buddy, you all are too kind!

I wouldn't think you's run into that problem anytime soon L! Not with all the different strains you grow!

Damn! I better get on it and enter some pics before they close down the contest! I don't want to disappoint anyone!

Thanks to all of you for your kind words of encouragement!

I will be going to my wifes friends house today to do a little more tuning on her new laptop. She already got into trouble opening up some emails. Called us last night in a panic! I'm going to put Firefox and Thunderbird on it for her and set her 'junk' filter up. Her husband is in the hospital after a near fatal car accident and is now a vegetable. Sad, very sad. I didn't know the guy at all, but my wife has known this lady for a couple of years now and she is part of my wifes small circle of friends. Helped her buy a laptop last week and getting her set up with it and teaching her the basics (pretty much all I know!) is the least I can do as she is very lost now without her husband at home. I know it's not an excuse, but helping her on the phone last night (for at least an hour) pretty much put a stop to my visiting around on the site as planned. I'll be back home later this evening and will try very hard to visit with my friends on 420.

Hello L, say hello to hubby for me will ya. Just over here taking a short rest :Hookah: after posting around a bit (finally) Whew! Wife already gave up on me and hit the sack! Told her on the way back from her friends that I had 'work' to do so not TV or anything, just gotta sit and type! Thinking about doing some 1st stage chopping of some of them tomorrow. Checked earlier today and on the three budding beauties mostly cloudy with some clear left on some and some 50/50 clear cloudy on others. I'll just label their jars accordingly I guess. got to have some organization with all the stuff I'll get. I'll pick up a case of Kerr or Mason jars at Walmart later this week, Not sure what size and how many though? I'd say quarts for the convenience, and maybe I'll get two cases just in case.

unless you just want new jars, we shop for them at salvation army or other thrift stores...a jar is a jar, and you can buy new rings and lids nearly anywhere....qts....i cure in half gallon mostly tho, and those you can get at brewry places, home brewing supply stores....i orig. got gallon jugs, but that was a joke, only one time had enough to use it....mostly halves, room to breath, but store in qts....with label and date, in the box in a cool dark place...watch them for a while, for condensation...it happens, sometimes the cure isnt cured and has too much moisture....i know, bad story there...i save those little dehydration pks, like in jerky and vitamins ect....in case i need them, and then someday i want to get the pellets that keep it at a certain moisture content, up or down....think those would be great....L....yard sales are good for jars too, and wives love yard sales....and keep mayo jars, the rings and lids fit them too, and you're not pressure cooking them so they are safe...just thinner glass...L

oh, put a notice on my site for outdoors peeps to talk to you about those white flys, and wrote to norwestcali, about it...i just dont know...i answered you on my thread....L

Hi L, I think I meant to say the half gallon jars not the quart, my mistake. Great ideas about where to find them like the Sal Army, got one not too far away in fact. My current collection of jars is quite eclectic! I've got I think two 'real' canning jars, mason's I think they are quart size and then there are the regular jars that may or may not seal good, most likely not, but I've used them over and over. Most are small (pint or so) I've got a bunch of tiny jars of various sizes from different food items like jams or horseradish (nice tiny round jars perfect for keeping small amounts of everyday stash within reach of my lounge chair)
I'd like to have some organization this time with all the different plants and different trichome development I'll have.

Thanks for sending the message out for help over on your thread, I'll post a copy of my original post here (were I should have posted in the first place!)

I posted this on on Lavendar's thread earlier this evening:

Got some new bugs that moved in lately, tiny tiny white winged 'specks' (literally) that hang out under the leaves and when you bump the plant, a dozen or so will fly out and scatter. Caught one today and put it under the little scope to see what's what. First off, a gnat is a giant compared to these buggers! Yellow body with 4 sets of white wings, two in the front and two in the back. When they are landed or flying they are the size of tiny white pieces of dust. I've also noticed tiny little dead spots on the leaves. Size of a pin head. I was wondering if maybe these were baby white flies? I know the white flies are larger, but maybe these just hatched or something.

Another thing was spraying, I know it says that you can spray all these insect concoctions right up to harvest. I figure they're talking about fruit that you would wash before eating, right? I can't see spraying my buds with the oily sh*t and then drying and smoking it a few days later. Your thoughts?

no problem, just sorry i didnt know the answer..:goodluck:..outdoors would be a whole new ball game to me...
i put up in qts...just cure in halves....making some labels for our stuff, will see if i can print you some for yours also....what strains do you have? L..
got all the stuff to do it...so may as well get on it...was thinking about making like veg. seed pkg, and smaller v., :blunt: only with pot photos on them, name and blank line for date and info ect....L

oh, hubby found jars at the dollar store, some with lids, some with stoppers, but for a buck, it works...pretty things....L

Hey Lav can we post pic's on the labels and call it so and so's homemade ail's all's cure? It helps with most ail's I got. And maybe we got you a new calling in life. JK???? Hey yall driving back thru is all. Keepem Green

Photo Update

Here are some pics from the 21st just before a big storm hit. I had to herd the ladies into the corner of the deck up against the house to shelter them as much as possible from the expected high wind speeds. I was able to take pics one by one as I moved them. It's a nice perspective that I haven't been able to show you all for quite awhile. They are heavy and cumbersome so I really hate to move them around.

Two cases at least! Buddy:)

I missed your posts as it took me a good hour and a half to upload and post pics tonight, very slow going?

Great Idea L about the labels and like Woods says, 'a new calling', heck this could be something to do when you and Hubby retire! LOL No more lifting, pulling, watering, feeding or worrying! Just sitting and pushing buttons! Beats knitting doesn't it?

Well I'm all worn out from uploading those pics, Have myself a bowl of Hash and to bed! Nite all!

Two cases at least! Buddy:)

This must be a conspiracy! Your all sneaking in the back door when I'm busy posting my pics!

Two cases you think, huh? I'm thinking some half gallon like L says to cure in and then some quarts to store for the long haul. In the end I'll go to the Salvation Army like L says and just buy whatever they have! Sure would like to make everything look organized for once. We'll see.

Good night to all, see y'all tomorrow (or is it today)!

Hey Woods ? You think you got them little sap suckers called white flies? They do hang on the bottom of leaves. They look just like little moths. They suck sap from the leaves and the leaves natural control is sap which can lead to molds ect where the damage is. You can see them when ya shake the plant till they resettle rite back on square one. I've heard alot works to kill them, neem, garlic, to clove oil. And even CO2 levels. Yellow traps attrack them, and what I found works if you can is a vacumn. Suck them paristes into the waste of your life. They do best at warm temp's like 80 degrees. Depends on where ya are in life, as to using tha vacumn. Your grow looks earlier enough to spray for them. GL And best to ya. Most this info comes from Ed R. Hope it helps
