Woodsman Outdoors

Damn brother. Thanks for the plug! +rep Or when I can, it won't let me Sry

My pleasure Velo, it is definitely a grow that no one should miss. It is a dream of mine (and most likely for many others) to have a set up like what you made for yourself. I hate to see a Journal go unwatched or under watched in your case. I hope everyone will take a moment and look at what your doing. The fact that your still in the early stages of your journal will make it easy for folks to get caught up to date.

I think that when a new journal is started, some sort of alert should be automatically generated so that others are aware of it's existence.:goodluck:

You know Woodsman, I think that it all comes down to ones own style. The way that some people are very talkative and others not so much. I for one will answer questions. Trying to figure out what people MIGHT ask is hard though. I want to help people as much as I can. They need to ask questions though. I am not good at just posting up what I do and think.

You know what brother, put me in a room with strangers and I will not utter a word, unless spoken to. Very shy and reserved in person (an accomplished loner I might add). But let me loose here and I can't stop sometimes. We're all different people with the same hobby. I make up for my lack of 'real science' by joking around with you all instead of actually taking you somewhere knowledgeable. I express my self better in writing than in person. You are no different, just smarter and more reserved online than some others.

And you know what your doing!

Woods, you are claiming to be an introvert? The whole reason I haunt your thread over the others is your personality.

I am an extrovert and it causes me more problems. Problems with my women thinking I am hitting on other women, problems with men thinking I am hitting on their women, and men thinking that I am hitting on them. Just because I am a friendly guy with a generally positive attitude. Maybe you are the wiser one.

Glad to see you are seeing improvements in your pain and mobility from your fall.

Yup I'm an introvert GDog I feel very uncomfortable when I'm out of my box and would feel right at home living alone in the wilderness. I used to camp alone all the time in CA After dealing with traffic all week long as a truck driver. Not much personal contact on the road, but even that was too much sometimes. Used to be embarrassed about this topic when I was younger. I couldn't give a hoot now what folks would think about me now.

I don't show my introverted self in public, like staring at the ground when someone talks to me or something, I grew up in a good family and I know proper etiquette and I am friendly to any who deserve it or show it to me! As far as the ladies, I never had a problem and used to attract the ones that didn't like 'boorish' or loud behavior. Funny, when I was a young man (early 20's) I worked and played in the bar scene as a bouncer/bartender ( not a big drinker, but a big toker). When I look back on it now. I was definitely out of my norm there, but was very popular with the ladies and the guys (straight friends)and well liked by most. Only the bad drunks, ball busters, gangbangers and pimps didn't like me. Regular girls (customers) and hookers from the street corner (Broadway and Diversey in Chicago) would run to me for protection when they were harassed or in the case of the whores, their little weasel pimps would hit them or chase them out on the street . This very exciting life that moved at 1000 miles an hour, came to an abrupt stop one cold and wintery day in January of '81 when the place was sold. Out of work and out of my wonderful exciting life, I moved out to NCal and instantly became an 'unknown', one moment I went from being a fun and popular guy, to the next moment being a nobody, the exact opposite. In the flash of an eyelid I was alone and lost, I didn't like it at all and drew into myself like an army retreating to the Castle Keep. I made a few friends out there but was never anyone's best friend. And unless I had a girl at the time (not anything like it was before), I would be by myself most weekends while 'my new friends' were busy with 'their friends'. The woman no longer were running to me for protection and the guys were no longer hanging out at the door of the club with me rolling joint after joint for my smoking pleasure! Very dramatic change for me socially and a major player in what I became later in life.

Woods, you sound like me. But it is hard for me to blend into a crowd because I am tall, and have giant "Ent" like children... LOL No really, you sound like you are describing me. I go to a party, and sit on the couch and try to be invisible. When people come up I say Hi, and chit chat maybe a little, then they move on...

Guess what I found in my high priced dispensary White Widow?? ANOTHER seed!!! So I popped that baby into some FFOF Soil and perlite and watered it really good! Now we play the waiting game on those seeds.

Please come up!?

I imagine that is one of the qualities that attracted your husband (s) to you. When I was a youngster (before 40) like any guy I enjoyed looking at (OK drooling over) and flirting with the (not necessarily blond ) popular girls, but would rather 'get to know' the nice cute, pretty and quieter girl in the corner. Just me.

Damn girl, it must be nice to just mosey on over to your local store and buy great smoke. Used to be a dream of mine (and many others I'm sure) that one day you'd be able to do just that. Only problem is that I live 'here' and the stuff is 'there'! Ironic that I used to live in the free world of California and now I'm in the sub arctic (and archaic) region of the US where they failed again to legalized the Meds.
Do you cover the top of the cup to seal in the moisture (until the seedling breaks ground) I've been starting seeds on a plate wrapped in a wet paper towel making sure it never dries up. Works most times and the ones that don't pop probably wouldn't pop in soil either.

I haven't done that, but I just made a makeshift reflector on the soil for my bagseed sprout. I could do the same for the little 3 incher with the WW seeds in it as well. What about covering it with a ziplock baggie? Sort of create a greenhouse of sorts?

My seeds in a paper towel are, just wet seeds in a paper towel. LOL

It took a long time for Colorado to pass Amendment 20, and now they want to legislate and tax it to death. It's the legislation part that scares me. Voting on banning dispensaries etc. It's like the original Anslinger law. To get the stamp, you needed to have the meds, and to get the meds, you had to break the law. Stupid way it was written is hard to describe that makes any sense at all.

I "met" hubby online as well. So I know there are good folks out there. My Celeborn is just Mr Personality. Friend to everyone.

He pulls me out of my shell when I retreat into it. Which is good sometimes.

Okay Wood, I would do it "right now" but I am too high right now... My babies (those that lived) are starting to do me proud and I am about to take out my camera. My girl and I just went out for a walk with that crazy dog in the incredible heat and smoked a hash joint first. The effects are long lasting of this hash. I do not even know what kind of bud it was made from. I am so fortunate that I am very close to another hash cannasuer that seems to have an endless supply. I only smoke a little though.

I will try to take some photos tonight as I am finally not ashamed any more of what I have going on.

Popping in to see how you are feeling today and sending healing vibes...

Zip lock would work, just make sure that it can breath a little, I poke holes in the seran wrap with a toothpick.

That sure is a confusing law! Better than none I guess, but it should not be so hard to interpret correctly by normal intelligent humans! Sounds like your husband is a nice guy, I wish you both good health and all the best.

The has I used to get in the Middle East was awesome (Israel). Lebanese, Egyptian or maybe even Moroccan, we never quite knew. It was generally somewhat fresh since it was not rock hard, just heat it with a lighter (couple of seconds) and then it would smear across your palm like soft clay. Much different than the homemade stuff we learn to make here. Occasionally there would be some black hash (supposedly mixed with opium) it was kind of moist (compared to regular hash) Can't remember if it was Nepalese or Afghani. It was very special stuff and was more expensive. I smoked only hash from the time I was 15 till about 20 or so. Mostly mixed it with tobacco to smoke it.

So are you going to do a Journal?

Hey, Woods. Just dropping by to show some love. I've been offline for a bit. Did you ever reach a solution for hiding those tall girls? Later, Brother.

Hey Bud not yet, still got the wifes potted vegetables and flowers up on the railing. I did by some lattice though and as soon as I'm able, I'll put it up.

Nice group of plants you got at your place also my friend. Aren't ya glad you got an ATV to haul stuff out there! Beats walking!
just cking by....ok, now im gone...hugs all, L:cheertwo:

Hi L and GD, I'm slowly but surely feeling better. I've got movement in my right arm now, though still hard to lift it and when I do it's a pain to lower it back! Went and got water at the spring this morning, did it with my left arm and than goodness I was not pressured to hurry (no one else waiting). I can drive with only a little discomfort. I have a stick shift, but it's not so hard to drive, use the left hand for the wheel and the right is for my shifting, which is very easy in the jeep. It's lower than my elbow which is a good thing. It's the bottom and the outside of my upper thigh that bothers me most when I drive. The seat is kind of form fitted and this puts constant pressure on the darn bruise! I've been taking my wife to school the last few days so I'm used to it now. Tomorrow we're driving down to my brothers (hour and a half) so that will be an adventure. Wife doesn't drive a stick and never wanted to learn.

Got a few pics to post, so that's coming up.

Just some pics to pass the time!

Just prior to watering the ladies I mixed into the soul of each plant a hand full of the FF Peace of Mind Fruit and Flower. I'll do this once more in a month.

I noticed for the first time that the NL#5 (from seed) had the beginnings of buddage growing, just a 'bump' at the top for now but that's how they start! I was getting concerned since it's Sept in a few days and I need two months for them to finish. The Mazar and the Runt are not showing yet. Very concerned about those two. I know from the last grow that the Runt was a late bloomer, but I was hoping that the Sun would remedy that. We'll see. Amazing how the Mazar was the first with the preflowers yet is not budding yet. Up till today the Bagweeds (all three) were the only budding plants.

Always something to worry about! Damn, I'll be growing into November.....Hope this global warming thing will work for me this fall!

your bubba is getting hugh....all that from such a scrawney wee girl....they do get big and stocky....glad youre feeling somewhat better....drive careful...how is wifes sister? hope all is well there....take care and have a nice trip....L and hubby:Hookah::Hookah:speaking of hash, im going to have to get busy and make some...also oil and tinctures....L

Looking nice. Our plants do look similar, except yours have a tad more frost. Mine should hopefully catch up soon. As far as having the ATV, yeah, it helps. Pretty much my plant's lifeline. I've had that thing for almost 10 years now. It's beat all to hell, but it's put in a lot of good work around the farm. Since my knee is kind of jacked up from a car wreck, I don't think I'd be able to pull my grow off without it. Eventually, I'm going to have my plants closer to home, but the time still isn't right. I'm looking forward to those days. Later, Brother.

Got a nice pic of the Bubba coming right up (great timing on your post).
Not sure if we're going out to dinner or just hangin around the bro's house. My niece is in town for the week. It will be nice to get away for the day with my wife and spend it with family.

Have fun making up your potions L!

Sorry to hear about the knee Bud glad ya got the Wheeler though and I hope it happens soon for you (closer to the house).

It just dawned on me today that some of these ladies may need to go into November. Not a good thing for sure, I'd have to bring them into the living room. Hope it's not a 'you or the plant' thing. My wife will not be overly enthusiastic about this......
