Wonderland Grow

So I got home Saturday evening, and gave the girls a feeding that night.
Jack Herer only got FixhMix and BioBloom at about 70% of the max recommended dose and the AK got a bit of additional TopMax too for the first time. There's not much to update, they are growing, and I finally accepted to just let them be and not worry about their development all the time.

Here are a few pics.
The AK is bushing out, though there is not really much vertical growth. It may be due to the fact that I pulled her main stem to the side and down a bit. It opened the middle of the plant up nicely. That's also where one of the leaves got ripped off, so I'm expecting the lowest sprouts to join the canopy.

Overhead picture of Jack.
She is developing huge fan leaves, but there is definitely not that much smaller sprouts on her as there was on the AK at this stage. She is quite finicky too. When lights came on, the AK needs only about 15-30 minutes to pump all her leaves up, but Jack always a bit droopy for about 2, sometimes 3 hours. I don't know what's the reason behind it, probably just genetics.

There's no real sign of budding yet. There are pistils on a lot of branches, but what she has is actually only the bare stem with pistils on it.

And the habitual group photo. ;)

As I'm somewhere in the middle of their life cycle, I'm putting a few numbers here from RQS' site about these two strains.

AK Yield Indoor : 425 - 475 gr/m2
Jack Yield Indoor : 350 - 400 gr/m2

AK Yield Outdoor: 110 - 160 gr/plant
Jack Yield Outdoor: 70 - 120 gr/plant

AK Height Indoor: 60 - 70 cm
Jack Height Indoor: 40 - 80 cm

According to these average numbers I can expect my AK to yield moderately more then Jack, and that's fine. I'm curious about their final height though. It's not that they won't fit the tent, cause I can see they'll never get that tall to worry about running out of space, but since Jack has a much wider interval for her height, she might surprise me in the upcoming few weeks.

I can't wait to see them getting covered in flowers. :green_heart:

They look healthy!!! Keep it up!

Take those numbers with a grain of salt.
Sure, I will. It is just a theoretical comparison. ;)

Im watching hope they bloom heavy.
They look healthy!!! Keep it up!
Thanks guys!
Welcome BeanTown! :green_heart:

That jack looks like it's pretty close to flower!
Well, I wrote that she has pistils a few days ago, but I was mistaken. She does have some strange looking green things on her stem, but they're not really pistils to my eyes. Unfortunately, my camera battery just died when I went to take a few photos a minute ago, so no photos today. I could describe how these long-shaped green things look like but I think photos will tell more.
The AK though, she put on her first pistils 11 or 12 days ago, but it seems like she just keeps growing without any bud development yet. I bought strong bamboo sticks weeks ago, but only now I realized that I should use them instead of trying to use the side of the cloth pots for training...
Never mind, today I opened her up as much as I could, and I expect to see the lower sprouts getting larger in the next few days. I hope my expectations will hold.

I don't think I've ever mentioned it yet, but I love growing these plants. It actually became a new hobby, and now I can imagine myself cultivating other type of plants in the future. :)

If she lives up to these expectations, I can harvest her in mid to late May.

:green_heart:

Sounds like you better start popping some more seeds. Congrats on the inspections.

Women's intuition aside. lol

Take those numbers with a grain of salt.

Maybe on the rim of a glass?? Happy 420 day!

Mint

I'm growing mint for my Mint Juleps. It's a specialty of mine. JK not really lol :green_heart:

It's actually very healthy for you.

You can also share your health! :Namaste:

Hey everyone!

I was a bit absent this week, but I'll definitely have an update very soon, hopefully tonight.
But before that, I'm quite worried about something. I never actually checked for the gender of these plants since they were feminized seeds, but look at this picture:

What do you think? This is the AK. She is full of white pistils on several branches, but there's absolutely no sign of actual flowers yet. And then here's these things on the picture. Could they be sacks? They are there for like 2 weeks now. Can a male plant develop white pistils too? I'm confused

Here's how it looked like Wednesday:

Please, help!

Uh, thanks Penny! :green_heart:
I'm coming back with a lot of details, but let me reorganize the whole room first! :D

Hi Alice.
When I first saw those pre-flowers on a plant I thought she'd been pollinated by a male from somewhere. I thought they were seeds. LOL
Your plants are looking very healthy
