Winter Weedy Wonderland - Auto Grow - Royal Queen Seeds

What’s wrong with all the composted leaves in the bush?
And under the leaves is probably a couple inches of worm castings
Just like gold you gotta look for it
What’s in the corral is there no composted
manure left in there?
Them coyote dens probably got tons of bones around them that you could use for bonemeal
For outdoor grows this is fantastic. If you bring the outdoors inside tho, you won't like it. Bugs, flies, spiders, ants, the whole shebang. And apparently fire ants around Azi's place. 🔥🐜😯🤣

I have no problem with animal bones being found around here. LOL

The corral hasn't had horses in it for well over twenty years. After that it was large birds like Ostrich and Emu and that was almost 20 years ago, and their crap was hot azz high in nitrogen if I remember correctly. There is nothing useful left in there. It's overgrown with wild blackberry bushes and lots of other prickly things. It's going to take a major project to take on to clear any area to use in it now.

I'm sure there are lots of worm casting under the leaves here, but.....I'm not going out to look for worms in the winter. 🥶 Spring and Summer I'll be there.

Having the worm farm in the bins was quite rewarding, I enjoyed it.

I have Rattlers and Black Widows in my 'hood, so watch for things like that in the leaves too.
Found a black widow in my worm bin the other day
I’ll listen for the rattlers lol

I was talking about compost for your outdoor grow in the spring
Takes years to get good compost piles to breakdown
I have 3 of them & make on average 6 / 3.8 cu bags of potting soil every year for the last 15 years

Yeah for outdoor growing thats a primo idea. I used to forage composted pine needles, and the black soil immediately underneath them, for my rhodo's and azaleas. They were show quality with only using that as fertilizer.

Where are you keeping your worm bin, Joe?
In the basement, it is sitting on a five gallon pail
The white pail (has holes in bottom) sits in a red pail ( no holes )

I suppose I could drill a hole in the ice on the pond, catch some fish and squeeze the "crap" out of them.
Then I would have natural fish fert. 😂
So this is much easier lol and I use it bi-weekly
Neptune's Harvest Fish it's hydrolyzed so it's not an emulsion and it's on the Zon.

Cool. Do you have a screen in the bottom of the white pail? Or do your worms act nice and stay home? ;)
A few crawled down, was a bit of juice on the bottom, worms were stuck to the sides
I dumped juice & worms back to top bucket

I took out some of the dirt /castings since that picture and filled it with shredded cardboard, cannabis leaves, and carrot peels
They seemed to like it , I just added more last night
