Winter Weedy Wonderland - Auto Grow - Royal Queen Seeds

Low humidity and/or wind burn [same thing really] - it's a sign that the leaf is being dried too quickly one way or another
Is there a fan blowing directly onto those leaves? You've raised the light, so you could try turning the lamp down a bit and apply a light misting before those edges turn crispy, should resolve the problem in a few hours
I'm going to hang a wet towel or two in there, to help the humidity level. And I'll mist the girls with the light turned down to keep from burning spots on them. The fan is above the leaves, but I will raise that a bit too.
Thanks Roy!

Yea I think it's both light n heat,,when I have gotten light burn in past it's the combination that screws leaves. I would keep intensity at 100% but move light up and put fan blowing directly at light from bottom or horizontally above light. The plant can take much more, just not so fast. I would move light up then slowly bring back down over a longer period. Full spec lighting is a lot for a plant when young and unfamiliar with full spec, plus light has hotzones too. It's a small reaction so you pretty close to perfect tbh.
Thanks to you both. Humidity this morning in there was only 34%. Damn furnace drying out the air. During the night, according to my monitor, it got down to 33%.
I just misted with distilled water on all the plants, and hung a wet towel near the fan. Fan is pointed above the plants. Within a few minutes I've hit 40%. We will see how the day goes.
I have a small humidifier for my mushroom grow tent, I'm going to hook that up and put it on the grow platform where the fan can move the mist around. I can set it on a timer and adjust the level of mist.

Oh you doing shrooms too,a friend of mine showed me how to breed unlimited spores w spore kit for shrooms. Just use water 5.5 pH and mixe spores w honey(I believe w yeast but not sure rn) n ferment. Makes it so spores can breed and reproduce. Then instead of adding spores from package you just use turkey baster n apply new spore liquid !!!!!

That's how they get you, they charge for spores n shipping n handling ECT....

Yes, shrooms are my second favorite thing to grow. I'm a high trippy gal..... LOL
My signature has a link to the current shroom grow, but I don't have any going at the moment.

Check the Magic Mushroom forum for the diaries going on and lots of info:

They can be pricey on the first purchase. But after you've learned how to do spore prints and agar plates and making your own liquid culture etc. from just one of those, you've got your money back ten fold or more. :)

I battle with dry air too and I ended up with a large humidifier that lasts almost two days before I have to refill it. It still doesn’t raise the humidity enough 😤. It’s forced me to just do what I can and monitor the air more so than create the perfect environment that I would rather for the plants. I can only have one thing right at a time, temperature or humidity. My grow room is only about 8x10 feet in a funny shape and I have the tent in the room. I have the door to the tent open all the time because if I don’t the heat is too high. It’s a balance I haven’t found yet but I’m trying! In the meantime if the humidifier runs out of water the plants tell me within an hour or two. I think Roy hit the nail on the head with his reply.

Plants are looking great!

I really wanna do some shrooms but it is very involved and I can't halfast anything...at all so I been avoiding it....but it's still an itchy itch I want to scratch ....
It’s not more involved than weed plants. It’s just different. The reward is great.

Kind of tells me my house is well insulated from the outside air now. Humidity outside this morning is high. Misty and rainy-ish. LOL After all the hard work I put in about a month ago sealing up drafts, that's rewarding. ;-)
I have a big humidifier, but the danged electric cost on it kills me. I'm trying my best to control that cost during this winter season.
I think Roy hit that nail smack on the head and broke his hammer. 😆

I was expecting a problem this morning, I'm glad I planned to see something before it got too far.

That is impressive cuz high humidity is so encompassing, that is great insulation fr

Good to get those drafts trust me I know. I bought another house since my summer grow in the woods cabin. (I’ll be there next summer for another outdoor grow if I’m not down south then!) And I’ve been crawling around and in and out of the basement trying to find and stop all the draft. The house was built in 1820 or so so it sometimes feels like an unremitting expedition. It’s a major difference and I still have much to seal up. The cost of the humidifier can’t be too bad but then the wet towels are a LOT cheaper 😃. I also used the rainy weather to my advantage by opened a couple windows but that was before it was freezing out.

Really ? Ik it can be simple for a batch or 2 but then I'd....get curious and attached ...then I'm sleuthing the internet for days and renovating my apt.....everytime I enjoy something.... 😂
Yeah it can be all contained in a fairly small space. It’s a whole different animal than plants but it’s sort of less work once you have it set up. It can be as complicated as you want it though so that’s always an option if you want to go balls to the wall with it.

Yea I have really been thinking bout it,saw full kits for 150$ 200$. I do have an entire upper cabinet I could put my dishes someplace else like stack on fridge and start them there ? No lights needed. Just line w 2mil and I'm good to go...

I would love to work on an old house like that. It's always been a dream of mine to have an old big azz farm house with the wood trim and fireplaces...etc. etc. The closest I have to anything like that is my barn. LOL Have fun with that!
