There are pros and cons associated with a staff position. As a staff member you lose eligibility for the contests, and if you've won any, they are removed from under your avatar in your posts.

Think of a newcomer to the site. They see posts from a moderator, a grow journalist, and a member that has won multiple member, plant. nug, photo of the month or year awards. Who will they believe? Few will know that many staff members are also accomplished growers.

There are many ways to serve. There are many here who spend a lot of time helping members, and generating valuable new content. Joining the staff would consume much of the time they now devote to this. I know that I appreciated the time and effort these folks put in to helping me get started.

It doesn't pay. These are volunteer positions.

We're in the middle of bringing a couple new staff members on-board and during this time, I'll also go through this thread and select a few new grow journalists. It's a very lengthy process to review, discuss and interview everyone. Thank you for your patience, understanding and support, we are truly grateful.
 
We just began our first official grow thread, but for the last year, we've been constructing our legal Oklahoma Medical Grow facility, also highlighted here. We have two more flower rooms to bring online, then we have another 5000 square foot upstairs we haven't even began on.
I'm also big on details, documenting and photographing as we go, if for no other reason than me having a poor memory. :smokin2:We are also sponsor free and are always open to fresh ideas!

I wanna be down too guys!!! This is going to save my life, if i could learn to be an established gardener! I do have a green thumb, just need some nudging to get the nuggiez! Starting on a budget, banned from usa, so i gotta get this machine going! I wanna attend events and share knowledge with the legends of today! Does Marc Emery still smoke weed? Is MARIJUANA MAN on here from BC? Steve where you at ? If you know him send a invite!
