Who Let The Dogs Out? Chem Comparison Grow!

I'm going with Chemdogging Autos. If I drop on at the end of August, that should get me completely done by the end of November, beginning of December depending on the genetics. (I think) Need to break down entire grow room over Christmas break.

Sounds like a plan!

I'll be placing a order for seeds tomorrow. Still checking out sites. Trying to fine one in the US. Don't want anything coming over border. If I can help it. I'll be using 8 four foot t5's for veg. And, for flowering I will be using t5's replacement with LED's. I have been growing with these lights for two years. I am going to update as soon as I can. For my soil, I'll be using either FFOF or Pro mix with perlite. I'm growing organic. Looking forward to this venture. :thanks:

Sounds good! All the seeds I have ordered have come either from Europe or here in Canada, so I don't have any experience with a USA-based vendor. Humboldt CSI and Humboldt Seed Organization are both in the USA, and both have good chem options. But like I said, I haven't ordered directly from them. Happy buying!

I Just got done checking out amazon. And, I was wondering if someone could check out the soil for me? The soils are Premier Horticuture media 2.8 $48.26, Premier Horticuture ProMix 2cu veg/Herb $50.12. Premic Pro Mix 2cu Premium Potting mix. $47.83. I used Happy Frog last grow. And, amazon also has FFOF, which I have use before. Maybe I should stay with soil.
Pennywise, I can't believe, I am ordering Chemdog 91 S1 for $100 for 7 beans. But, that's what I'm doing. Pennywise how does CSI Humboldt package come in the mail? I got some seeds sent to me in a CD case, once. Just wondering.

Yup! Glad to have you join us, @bobrown14. Clones will be a fun twist to the comparison.

I've got several in different stages including a big ass bitch just started flowering a few daze ago.

91 Star - clone and I have gaggle of cuts and clones of different ages. Anyone wanna try a cut we can arrange for shipment. USA only - prolly have issues shipping overseas.

Also have a cut I'm calling "Jim's Gift" = Chem 91 x Cherry Alien Dawg going - likely next into flower. I've already taken cuts just waiting for roots on the cuts. Should be any day now.

Then there's a "local to me" seed vault.. <face plant>

Awesome! Very generous offer to share your cuts of 91 Star. Wish I could take you up on it, but you are right, shipping abroad wouldn't work out well. Hopefully some USA-based folks will take you up on it.

Try your local hardware box store for straight up Premier Peat Moss - comes in a green and white bale - cost about $10 - same but 100% peat moss as the ProMix (promix not 100% peat). For your extra coin they add per-lite and mycos and a chemical wetting agent <caugh> it's made for top dressing flower beds (ProMix) for PROfessional landscapers.

We have several sources of much less expensive peat moss. Try your local garden center. They may even have some already mixed organic potting soil ready to go. They likely do. Will also have a few lesser expensive CSPM as well.

Straight peat moss is super acidic, be sure to add 1c lime per cu ft. 1 cu ft is 1 1/2 5 gal buckets.

1 cu ft = 7.5 US gal (7.48052 if you want the exact figure)

Wet the peat/lime mixture and turn it daily for a month before using it. You want things well mixed up. Run at least the same volume of pH'd water through it and check the pH of the run off. You want it at or below 7.0 before using it. I've killed a lot of flowers before I learned.

I'm going to get this over with now as I'll be traveling the rest of the day north of Chicago for the holiday weekend. Hiya
Be sure to eat a big ol Italian Beef sammich for me. LoL
