What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Lol sometimes you just gotta smoke a bowl and take a nap!
All of you girls looking good as usual MJ, that I'IP looks mighty fine with her purple coat on....... Keep in mind my friend, at this stage in our life when we do a bowl and a nap is gently tugging at your eyes..... GO For It....... you deserve it......:peace:

What’s all this talk of naps? Lol! Sorry, I have no use at all for napping. :battingeyelashes: You guys may be growing older, but Jim can testify that I’m not going down a path that saps my energy. Lol!

It seems I was doing this all morning. Just out of practice. Not looking for large yield here. I think I need to re-work this soil.

Good to see the barn in use with more than one teeny branch. :hugs:

If I were there we’d be talking hempy with a decent nutrient line, although you’re doing better than you can smoke up Jim, and that’s a very good thing. Then there’s the matter of the snowstorm that keeps visiting your flowering tent, leaving more and more coating on those buds.

I miss them.....:circle-of-love:

That snowstorm....is frost (a forest of trichomes) on sugar leaves and is that all there is to it?

For some reason I've always felt that oils within or surrounding that calyx contains the most THC and likely a good portion of terpenes. All those scents and aromas are there basically to protect the plant from predators and it is thought to assist the THC in our euphoria. Or I could be wrong.

In any event, it must be turned into something that can be combusted and delivered by the lungs to the bloodstream through the blood/brain barrier and ultimately to a receptor therein I broadly smile and say to myself "Yep. That's it."

:bongrip:

So I smoked the scissor hash from the Sour Angel harvest yesterday. Note to self: Buckle Up brother.

I feel like ive been missing out on scissor hash how do you collect it?
I do all my trimming with a Fiskars micro. After all is done you just scrape off with a small pocket knife all the resin and whatever might be on the blades of the trimmers. It's usually less than a bowl but today when I fired it, it flamed inside the bowl and I had to carb cap the thing. I got about 3 puffs. It's usually fairly strong so clear those lungs first with giant exhale before lighting up. enjoy

Beez has been trimming for days, and I still have two more balls of scissor hash waiting for me to combust. Lol! Whew! What a ride!

and then I saw what Sue had

I jarred up the Sour Angel this morning. It's probably drier that it should be. No bud was larger than a grape but she weighed out at 43.8 grams. I managed to cram it inside a quart jar so I'll burp it a while and find a boveda package for it.

Sour Angel is Sour Dubb x Hell's Angel OG and 100 % Indica. All of these seeds I was given last year are west coast genetics and no doubt these breeders are on the cutting edge of the hybrid world today. Just my opinion.

Having heard that Sour Dubb (or Sour Dubble if you prefer) was powerful and thought a Hell's Angel Kush really must be something if the biker group was ok being associated with the name. Well In House Genetics put these two together and I can tell you she's very powerful. This whole grow has me in uncharted waters. I've only really tested 2 and both are appealing in their own way.

The first time I tasted the tester bud I was high before I exhaled. Ish gripped me right in the center of the forehead and seemed to just take my eye lids and tightened them slightly. It's pretty high energy but makes me a bit loopy as in stumbling and bumbling and glad I don't have to walk anywhere. I've also been quite lost in thought and again glad I don't have to go anywhere because I probably could get lost somewhere or at least forget why I decided to go somewhere. Lots of grinning and munchies.

Her smoke's a bit ragged right now and she really expands in the lungs. A few weeks cure would do this one good. This is the one you might have in the afternoon for that extra little high....no doubt you would feel it. Just as a test I measured my resting heart rate after a small toke. It went from 73 bpm to 94 bpm.

Have a great day folks. :bongrip:

Mmmm.... I love a racy chemovar. :battingeyelashes: Gotta be cautious about the indicas though, but they suddenly aren’t having the same effect they used to. Curious.....

Someday I’ll at least give them all a try Jim, just for fun. :slide: Sour Angel called to me something fierce.

After harvesting Chemdawg and Chem 91 x Aliendog Cherry on Friday and It's It Punch on Saturday I discovered that the one lonely Royal Gorilla remaining in the bloom tent had been attacked by The Borg. Yikes. Actually, I have had the RG clone in the bloom tent since Jan. 20 so I'll have to treat her with something and watch closely.

The mites were found on lower fans and the leaves had white spots. Microscope pictures were difficult and I think only show a few eggs and possibly one live critter hiding under a dead critter. The only critters I saw this morning were dead but eggs were still on some leaves. I harvested about 2/3 of the Royal Gorilla today and sprayed those branches with cold water from the outside faucet. Branches are hanging in a tree out back. It was a bit of a surprise to see these critters and I still haven't seen one well enough to identify the things but they were light brown with some apparent mandibles so I suspect some type of broad mite or spider mite.

Anyway...this should dispel the myth of Chives being a defense against The Borg.

Now for my feeble photos. I think the white stuff is leaf damage or possibly some remaining residual of the milk treatment they got months ago.

Thank god they didn’t spread to your other girls.

Well....I hope not penny but there's something going on in the veg room. Got a leaf curling. Might be a tacco by tomorrow. Other stuff too that could be a soil deficiency or pH or .... I'll spray some neem tonight just before lights out and get that scope out again tomorrow for a good inspection.

I am enjoying all the new stuff. Sour Angel and the Chem cross is powerful stuff. Still testing.

Here's all the pictures I have of the pest infestation that I had. I cleaned the tent up this morning and will attempt to get Royal Gorilla clone 1 to a harvest. As a matter of fact I need to get a bunch of clones to harvest before hot summer weather. Anyway....I didn't get around to treating last night but I'll make a special effort tonight to spray some neem and rosemary. We'll see if I can rid my grow room of these things. They give me the creeps.
