What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Your in for a treat with that Royal Gorilla! I like it so much I just brought another 3 pack even tho i have one in veg which is the same cut of the first seed I popped over a year ago that sweetsue is growing. It's the most pungent, powerful, top shelf strain I've grown to date! Awesome job keeping them so healthy
Yep....Tell it brother!....Getting me really all excited here.
Happy plants there Jim!

Gonna have to look at that Royal Gorilla! Maybe another seed purchase looming. dang it.

Based on what Jgrowlove said....it just sounds killer to me.

I've decided for the moment at least to change strategies here at bit. On my last grow I really didn't feed much and came out with a slightly better than mediocre grow but the strictly organic nature didn't offer much in the way of yield. I was going to give straight water this morning but gave them instead 2 TBS Big Bloom, some calmag and SLF-100 in bubbled water. My plants have in the past shown some instant growth spurts following something I've given them in bubbled water. Cannabis just seem to come alive with a bit of oxygenation. I like to watch the reaction. It stimulates me a bit if I see them thriving. I've also started a weekly foliar treatment of 1 tsp Big Bloom / gal which I hope brings a shine to these leaves indicating a higher brix level although I have no intentions on buying any more meters.

The Five Team

Spotlight today is on Chem 91 x Aliendog Cherry. It's bred by Obsoul33t Genetics Group. I got this seed from a friend as I probably would have never known anything about this breeder. I chose this one for the Chem 91 influence and I'm just not clear on the Aliendog part but have read that this part of the cross is also a Chemdawg with Alien Technology which is their line developed from landrace Afghanistan seeds brought back by a US soldier. Imagine that!. Anyway, Alien Technology is supposed to be more stimulative than most indicas and has a long lasting (6+ hours) effect. I'm guessing the cross had a cut with a cherry flavor or smell.

In any event I'm growing for the Chem influence as it checks all my boxes based on the HSO Chemdawg I've been smoking for the past 2 years. I note here that I've just started my last jar of Chemdawg this past week so I'm sure hoping a proper replacement is in this tent. There are at least 2 clones of each plant in the overflow tent so I'm fixed for a while if my plans work out.

I tied a small ribbon on one branch and I hope to capture the progress of these few flowers. They aren't impressive at 17 days from flip but advertised on a seed merchant's site as maturing in 42 to 70 days. That's a pretty wide ass window there so I just hope she falls in the middle. It doesn't make much difference as I'll chop with a smattering of amber anyway. There are lots of flower sites but she's been a little shy on the stretch. She's front row left in the family photo.

Edit: I forgot to mention that Chem 91 x Aliendog Cherry has a few slightly variegated leaves. Always a bonus to my eye.

and here's the rest of the bunch

Bright sun and almost 60 F today so I had the little black car out for some wind therapy. Yep...might be the last time this year. :bongrip:

You'd be well advised BB. The daughter tells me the only plant that's come close to the quality of Royal Gorilla in her arsenal was Platinum Scout V2. Easy to grow and incredible produce. That's a winning combination in my garden.

Jim, I can see you're gonna get more out of your RG than I will. She's looking very promising. You have this way with your girls that gets them to the most stunning harvests. :battingeyelashes: It's satisfying to see your garden fall back into the rhythm you feel more comfortable with. You and the girls and the cats can snuggle in for the winter now and keep warm.

For some reason that video isn't there. I just get a blank screen. Unfortunate Jim. I was excited to see another of your video adventures. :battingeyelashes:

What Sue said ........

This week I started smoking from a 2 year old jar of Chemdawg and it has me pretty humbled right now and I never finished the second bowl this morning. Serious. It gained some strength and a bit of a heavy head feeling. Not couch lock but something like weak legs...

I sent @bobrown14 a PM about some beans and Rudolph has them right under his red nose. Wouldn't it be nice if Santa could drop them in Bob's chimney. Yep....I bet that happens so he can save that sofa change.

I was just looking at your RG and I'm so glad yours is a few days ahead of mine so I can compare.

Ooo....Bob’ll be so happy. Enjoy the deliciously debilitating Chem Dawg. I’m smoking 3-month old Carnival tonight. None of this will make it to 2 years. Lol! You’re a lucky man Jim. :kisstwo:

Hey there MG - haven't checked PM's yet.. I'm in outter space with all my friends. I even had a good friend and his name is Space! Truth ....he's a old timer hippy from the 60s used to surf the SoCal beach thing and import cannabis. Has some good stories. He got a taste of my DT from another friend. Turns out he's a big Durban Poison lover. Takes a special breed to love that goodness. Gets me cranked and high AF.

Your gardens are looking great. Man you got a nice canopy going. I think this "Winter 2018/19" season has officially started. You're off and running brother.

Variegated leaves and Chemdawg usually = high times are ahead mate! Yeah buddy!

Frosty wishes for a happy holiday and a super frosty new years! I know it's early sorta but never too early to give and receive good blessing. :Namaste:

Super glad to see you back up and running doing the things you love to do and I think I sense a little bit of happiness in your posts of late.

Keep it going, pass it on side to side. :passitleft:Tiss the season n all eh?

‘Tis the season indeed B.B.

When it’s warm enough I will jump in BB, but the beach here isn’t like it is along the Atlantic or Pacific. It’s shallow with no waves. Lol! Good to walk along though, which was my major drawing point.

I am loving the temperate weather and the community. Think I’ll be happy here for a bit.

It’s Jim smoking 2-yr old Chem Dawg. The longest anything lasted in my cupboard was some Carn that hid in the back for a year. Whew! Great stuff!

Enjoy your friends Bob...Yep I knew the variegated leaves were associated with Chem - at least I'm sure I read that on the interwebs somewhere.

Happy Holidays back to ya... :passitleft:

I had it 2 years and smoked it almost daily since that harvest. At first I also smoked a bunch of Blue Dream almost daily. Both were in that same grow along with a Panama and Amherst Sour Diesel. Last jars of much of that grow.

One of these days I'll get to try that Carnival.

I've got a bud left each of Panama, Malawi, and Zamedelica that I ran 2 years ago. My first run if Ace seeds. Just tested the Panama the other day and it had a lovely floating buzz. It only lasted about an hour though. I'm thinking about a year in they start to mellow and lose their length of buzz.

Nothing wrong with those choices and good for you for keeping a bit of that ganga around for such tests.

My experience is the Chemdawg I grew hasn't lost much potency or length of buzz although the freshies might have been a bit more uplifting. I keep thinking I might have found the winner back then when I grew her and only cloned it once....Didn't keep it. But I'm going to find out in a couple months if there's something else that I might like better.

Thanks to all for the visit. May you all have the best of the Christmas and the New Year's season.

My power was out last night for about 5 hours. Traffic accident damaged electrical equipment or something like that. I went to the grow room to smoke and was delighted to have all those girls back there just stinking away without any extraction fans or filters. I couldn't identify anything significant....it just stunk and overpowered the smell of kerosene lamps I had burning. I also enjoyed the silence. :bongrip:

The silence.... I’ve had that a time or two since I started growing. Lol!

One day we’ll get that Carnival to you Jim.

The Five These girls are completing their third week in flower. Flower production is going well and they recently got their feeding of Fox Farm's Big Bloom, a little cal mag and SLF-100. Next up is just straight water and a foliar feeding in 3 days. Today was the first time I magnified a couple of the small bud sites and was surprised to see the frost forming. It can only get better as long as I don't let them dry up or over water the crop. I'm using an old meter every couple of days to monitor this.

Spotlight on Sour Angel. She's bred by In House Genetics and is Sour Dubb crossed with a Hell's Angel OG.

I remember once scanning for strains and wanting to buy a few Biker Kush seeds. I never bought but now I have a chance to taste a bit of something similar. Not that I have much taste. I'm thinking more about the effects. How hard can this hit?

Also Sour Dubb (or Sour Dubble) is is thought to be a cross of East Coast Sour Diesel and Sour Bubble. I'm finding that some folks are fans of the taste of weed. Some like the taste of Bubblegum and it's in there somewhere and who knows what else. In any event, just bring me some of that California high and I think I'll be good.

She's been the only great stretcher in the tent going from 26 inches (total height from floor) to about 38 inches a few days ago.

The rest of the girls are doing well and I always amaze myself and how they do when I get out of the way and just let them grow.

Chemdawg

Chem 91 x Aliendog Cherry Superior number of bud sites on this one. Gitty up!

Royal Gorilla

It's It Punch

That all I have for the moment. More to follow as there's as much as six weeks left. :bongrip:
