What's In Jim's Grow Room?

You need to dry these seed for a week at least. They're gonna harden. Then you put them in the fridge for a week or two and eventually you can germinate them. Hermie plant is not good, but if it's just a nanner it's not too bad. But I'd keep an eye on this plant, check if she's releasing any pollen.

IMO, at finish, they should be faded out and not fit for posting lol

Hope you get some winners from those seeds! :Namaste:
High CS....I'm so glad you agree. I'm sure hoping the seed moms and their progeny will be great.

Thanks for the tips. There's just the one little nanner and I'll just take it off.

I'm going to harvest the Ultra Dawg today. She was ready this morning but I was too busy then but have to get 'er done. My 23 year old refrigerator is dying so I went and bought a new one right after church. It seems there's always an expense out there that wants to take a bite.

About the UD though. She still has some fruity aroma but has matured quite a bit in the last 4 or 5 days. She now also has a very wonderful citrus smell to her. It's now a sweet somewhat skunky lemon orange. I wish I was better at scent description but she's very unique.

Happy Easter to everyone.

Helpful info on the UD! Anything very skunky/citrusy will be OG leaning as this is lemonene speaking through. And the lanky structure would confirm it. If it starts getting pungent/chemical in the jar, that's the one :goodjob:

Very nice. I can't wait to see harvest pics. How many days in flower was it?
She went 59 days in flower. I thought all along she would finish early but she was a little slow for the trichomes to get thoroughly milky and more amber than I normally see at harvest. I'm so glad I waited as the terpenes mellowed quite a bit. I've smelled this same scent at harvest before but I don't recall the strain. I love the citrus aroma backed up by the floral fruit.

I'm not in a hurry to test it though. It might be brutal. The scissor hash was enough to drop me yesterday. It was borderline anesthesia but I did smoke a bit of kief right before I smoked the scissor hash so it just might have caught me in a light weight moment as I was hit with a combination punch. I find out for sure later this week when I jar it up.

Botrytis remembered.

I've been meaning to try to find this picture. This occurred Dec 23 2016 and a few days earlier there had been a heat spike and apparently perfect RH for the mold to get a toe hold. Originally I thought the heat just made the bud brownish. I removed the offender right after this and started studying botrytis in greater detail.

and for some comparison, here's a lower bud the following day.

Yuk! In an interested kind of way Jim. :battingeyelashes: I remember how easy it was to miss on my plant.

I missed your birthday.....drat! Well belated happy birthday wishes nonetheless.:hug::hug::hug::hug: I read it was a nice day.

You got some pretty seeds Jim. May they sprout grow buds that knock you over. Lol! Isn't that what we're all looking for? All of the seeds created by our members look heartier than what we pay for, with small exception. Makes you wonder WTH they do in the breeding houses, doesn't it?

Hey there Jim - happy belated birthday my friend. Looks like the girls gave you a nice sack of seed for a present! That's a nice little surprise. Did you pollinate that one??

Lab and nanner.... time to harvest when I get them. Could be heat stress. Lots of times I just harvest when I see one or 2 of them pop out. Really doesn't matter the strain on that.

You've been using malted barley so you could get a 15-20% reduction on flower time so you're in the harvest window. I like to let them go until the flop over from bud weight or nanners.... which ever happens first. I'm right there with flop over now @ 63 days. I only added in MB at flip this time.

I've harvested Lab anywhere from 45-65 days. Same plant from clones. MB for sure speeds things up but if they can tolerate going longer I like to let them get fat as they can.

G/L .... happy days are here ... harvest time! GTBU.... good to be us!

Thanks for all that information on the Lab. She's 53 days and almost ready. There were 2 older nanners under the one I first saw. Oh well...might have surprise seeds. Yes...everything in the tent including the Lab was pollinated by the Ultra Dawg male.

I'm also just winging it on the Fx girls 1 and 2. I suspect Fx 2 will come down a little later as she's a carbon copy of the Panama mom. She went 10 weeks. I don't expect that since I gave them the MB at flip and I'm quite sure they've benefited from the Timber cobs.

We had another warm day here today and I had to shut the GR door while the Lowe's guys were delivering my new refrigerator. I guess that was about an hour and I forgot to re-open the room when they were gone. Tent temperature got to 99 F by the time I caught it. RH was 36% so I think I'm good. They didn't appear to immediately freak.

Bubbled water for them tomorrow morning. Yes...it's GTBU :green_heart:

You're doing great - love to see your plants.... What BL said.. however I usually always get a few seeds. Every time its way down low in the LAF and there's the errant male bit that gets covered in a tiny nugget, and 3-4 seeds. I wouldn't know it and would probably throw that in the compost bin, but now know to check. funny in the winter when it's relatively cool I don't usually get any, just when it's hot (90s hot).

I think it comes from the Starfighter genes. Many of the plants that I've grown out with Starfighter in them do that and throw a few nanners late.

There's some Chemdawg genetics at play in this ... so you may be able to smell some of that fuel funk along with some lemon zest. Sometimes I get Chemdawg mixed up by smell... in flower. Until Chemdawg is ready for chop then it's full on chem smell, fuel, funky fuel... and gassy funky fuel. The LAB holds onto the lemon terpine, which is nice on the exhale.

Have you tried any test buds yet??

I had water duty in the bloom tent yesterday and shortly after these pics were taken my back went out. It's a bunch better today but a little touch and go yet. I was going to harvest Labyrinth yesterday. It would have been flower day 54 but my back wasn't up to it. It'll probably come down in a few days.

But this photo display is about the Fx girls that recently joined the bloom bunch. Fx 3 and 5 are very much alike. Fx 4 has always been a little larger of the group. Stretch is over now at flower day 22 for them. Heights from floor for Fx 3 = 32 inches, Fx 4 = 35 inches and Fx 5 = 26 inches. There's approximately 7 inches of soil in the pot.

All that's left for these girls is all that stacking and filling to come. The part about watering them every couple of days is the part I'm not sure my back is up to. We shall see.

I really do appreciate all the comments and likes. :thanks:

It might have been just the need to take some pictures but I decided my back might be good enough to stage the blooming bunch one by one in front of the little tent and see if I could be still and get a few prize shots.

It seems that my idea of a good shot would differ from others. Sometimes it's not such a good shot that goes in the journal. Sometimes it's just documenting the grow. Sometimes I treat myself to bowls Chemdawg, Pakistan Valley and White Widow all in the spirit of pain relief. Add an infused oil capsule of Blue Dream and I go into this little zone that makes all this growing worth it. I am thankful for my abundance.

and isn't it just foolish to start three consecutive sentences with "Sometimes" ?

On to the task. Labyrinth is coming down soon...I promise. These are probably some of her last pictures. I used 2 different cameras here. It seems my little point and shoot does a very good job.

She really does have some beautiful soft tones to her. This one enjoys the organic treatment and her health this late in flower. Many of the trichomes are purple oil filled little structures.

At this point I have moved 3 plants out of the tent and photographed one. The ones still in the bloom tent haven't been photographed with the black background in quite a while. So now the back gets tested.
Fx 3, 4 & 5

OK...so I've moved all the plants at least once and now I'll put the other two veteran bloomers on the wooden stool I used to get them near eye level.
Fx 1 & 2

So I've propped my self up on the bed and I'll read some threads and watch a bit of golf later. I sure hope you have a great day. I'll keep icing the back and just try to rest it. :green_heart:

Wow nice set of ladies you have there Jim. Those FX are looking REAL promising. Very hairy..that's amazing.

Remind me what you used to make the FX??

Lab looks nice.. I'm likely a few days a head of you in flowering the 1 I have going and I'm going to chop her today. Just took my final pictures.

Glad to see you're on the mend...
